What guests are saying
This was our fourth stay on the farm (family of 5) and it was lovely as always.
The cottage is great, clean and a very relaxing space to hang out, the farm is peaceful and beautiful and Jayne and her family have always been warm and inviting hosts.
We had a lovely time at Whitehall Farm Cottage, it's in a beautiful area with so much to see and do within an easy drive in any direction - explored the Jurassic Coast (Budleigh Saltburn and Sidmouth being out favourites), Dartmouth, Exeter and went walking in the Blackdown Hills.
Jayne was there to meet us on our first day and left us some yummy carrot cake. The cottage is spacious and bright and well equipt with everything you needed in the kitchen to make meals, plus washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, hand wash, tea towels and lovely fluffy bath sheets. The beds were comfortable with good quality bedding and even though we were staying through a heatwave, due to the age of the building, we were relatively cool inside. There was a picnic bench and two deck chairs on our own private space and designated car parking. The only negative for us was the lounge furniture - I have a bad knee so getting up and down from the low sofa proved a bit problematic and the wicker furniture is not comfortable to sit on for long.
It was a lovely place to stay.
The hosts were really lovely people, very helpful and accommodating. First class hosts. Beds were comfy and there was loads of room. A really useful utility room and a love lovely large and roomy bathroom. The only thing to let it down was the very low and uncomfortable settee and wicker furniture in the lounge. Change those and you've got the perfect family accommodation.
