    “We found the apartment to be a very comfortable and well-situated base for an October-half term break in north Devon.”

    The apartment is on the second-floor of what was the Belgrave Hotel. The whole building has been refurbished to a high standard. A dedicated car parking spot is to the rear of the building, which is very useful as parking in the town is very controlled. We have a small SUV, which coped fine with the sharp turn into the car park and the space itself, but larger vehicles might present more of a challenge. Access to the flat is via a door from the car park. There is a short flight of metal ...

    The apartment is on the second-floor of what was the Belgrave Hotel. The whole building has been refurbished to a high standard. A dedicated car parking spot is to the rear of the building, which is very useful as parking in the town is very controlled. We have a small SUV, which coped fine with the sharp turn into the car park and the space itself, but larger vehicles might present more of a challenge. Access to the flat is via a door from the car park. There is a short flight of metal steps down. A modern lift takes you up to floor 2, but again there is a short flight of steps up to the landing where the flat is located. The flat is very welcoming - lots of windows offering light, well-chosen furnishings, and well-heated (also providing plenty of hot water). Other reviews comment on noise - it is above a road, and because it isn't double-glazed you do hear traffic noise, but we didn't find this a problem. The living area is spacious and comfortable, with a good kitchen area - large fridge-freezer, induction hob, sink island - we found self-catering no problem (it's an easy walk to the Co-op or Lidl). The bedroom is, again, large, light and well-furnished (very comfy bed!). The en-suite is modern, with a large bath and overhead shower and a good hot, towel rail (plenty of towels provided). We'd definitely use the apartment again - a very good base for coastal walks particularly - comfy and welcoming to return to at the end of the day.

Nearby you can enjoy the golden beach of Woolacombe Bay where the water is great for surf, you can hop aboard the clifftop railway in the the unique villages of Lynton and Lynmouth, or explore the trails of the Exmoor National Park.
