“Property as a whole was as described, however it was very dirty with dust and dog hair everywhere, Not only were the floors poorly swept (they had literally just swept around everything), they were visibly filthy to the point we had to go to the local coop and get floor wipes to scrub them ourselves, Also the mop that was provided got thrown in the garden as it stunk of dog urine.”
There was a constant stench of either raw sewage from the drains or a constant smell of cannabis from the neighbours. They had provided 2 fans for the hot weather although 1 of them was absolutely filthy with dust. There was no hand soap or hand towels provided. there was no door threshold strip on the bathroom flooring causing a trip hazard. There was mould spots on the bed sheet.
There was no information provided about recycling as all councils are different where we live all the recycling ...

There was no information provided about recycling as all councils are different where we live all the recycling goes in one bin, as far as we could work out in Ilfracombe it all has to be separated, the recycling box outside the front door was full on arrival, it looked like it had been there a long time and was causing a stink outside the front door, i am assuming it has been left through the lack of information and has got things in there it shouldn't have. It is perfectly situated within walking distance of everything and would be a nice place to stay if only there was a bit more care taken on cleanliness and attention to detail.

We are, however, disappointed by a number of the comments made. The property is professionally cleaned before every arrival, and had we been contacted during your stay regarding any concerns, we would have happily investigated and, where appropriate, arranged for someone to attend. Unfortunately, we received no phone call, message or email from you during your stay, so we were not given the opportunity to resolve any issues whilst you were in the property.
Regarding the mop, there is no mop provided at the property, so we are unsure where this has come from.
We’re sorry you experienced the smell of cannabis from neighbouring properties. Unfortunately, this is something completely outside of our control and not something we are able to influence.
Information regarding refuse and recycling is provided in the property’s welcome folder, including details of the local council’s recycling arrangements. The recycling box outside is emptied in accordance with the council collection schedule.
