No 6 Arlington Villas

We had a wonderful stay at Arlington Villas.

The apartment was beautiful, spotlessly clean, and in the perfect location for exploring North Devon. It was easy to find, and Sandy was a fantastic host and called a few days before our stay to check everything was in order and was always available via text if we needed anything. The apartment had everything we could have needed, including toys for our 18-month-old, which was such a thoughtful touch. It was spacious, the balcony was lovely, and having a dedicated parking space made everything so much easier and felt very secure. The only minor downside was that the stairs into the building were a little tricky with a pram, but it was manageable and certainly didn't take away from what was an excellent stay (once inside the building, the lift was very welcome!) We'd happily recommend it and would love to return.

One of the best we have ever stayed in.

The views from the apartment were so good, we could just sit there all day. Very well equipped with everything we needed for a holiday. Home from home.

Couldn’t fault the accommodation but we will never visit Ilfracombe again.

It was dreary and the walk back to the apartment is only for the truly fit. I couldn’t get my breath the pavements were so steep. And Ilfracombe itself felt unloved. Sorry

Everything was excellent, the view was stunning, there was plenty of hot water, & the beds were comfortable with good quality bedding & plenty of storage space in the bedrooms. The kitchen was very well equipped (although we couldn't find a butter dish!) The property was very secure and it was a bonus having a dedicated parking space, plus a lift up to the apartment when unloading luggage, although it was a mini trek from the lower car park with suitcases. It was also very peaceful at the property with no road noise. The addition of a Nespresso machine was something you don't often find but it was much appreciated by us! If anything else was to be added, then an airfryer would have been a bonus, however I wouldn't hesitate to recommend No 6 for a relaxing and comfortable self catering stay!

5 star accommodation with breath taking sea view could not have asked for more

High spec'd apartment with beautiful sea views and a great central location.

They've thought of everything here. Gorgeous, authentic Italian restaurant, Giovanni and Luca, within a stone's throw too. Would happily return.

Wonderful apartment, very well equipped and comfortable.

Fabulous sea view and other than the sound of the waves crashing on the shore, was very quiet during our January stay. The smart TV with Sky movies was great for chilly evenings. Parking was excellent. Also we really enjoyed Ilfracombe and our drives out into Exmoor and the Devon coast.

Lovely stay, apartment has everything you need and fantastic location with sea views.

We did have problems with the sky box not working consistently which the owner may want to investigate, wasn’t a big issue for us but might be for other guests staying.

The property and setting was beautiful although it would benefit from safety grab rails in the shower and bathroom.

Also, the steps leading up to the main entrance could also do with hand rails. The town centre itself was in a very sad state and in need of plenty of TLC and so, sorry to say, I could not recommend Ilfracombe as a place to visit.

Was exactly as described and pictures of apartment were true to where we stayed, faultless.

Great apartment in a great location for seeing some of north Devon’s great beaches and villages.

Apartment had everythink we needed the kitchen was well stocked the views were great at the dinner table, all beds comfy and a bonus to come back to sky tv after long days out hiking around north Devon. We also arrived to coffee pods and biscuits and also an Easter egg which was a great touch especially for the kids after a long journey from Manchester .

The apartment and location are excellent.

I think it should be more clear that once you've obtained the keys that the key fob will open all entry doors including the car park. It does mention it in the instructions but can go unnoticed for a few days as happened with us.

The location is fantastic with many restaurants and pubs within walking distance and we visited some beautiful parts of North Devon we had never seen before such as Combe Martin and Lynmouth.

We wanted an apartment with a view and were not disappointed, it is beautifully appointed and had everything we needed for a luxury break. My only disappointment was that I left an item of clothing, but didn't need to be , as after calling Ethan, he quickly parceled it up and shipped it back to me.

Excellent facilities. Very clean and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped, we had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable and spacious. We enjoyed the luxurious surroundings. We will definitely be back.

6 Arlington Villas was everything we had hoped for. Clean, modern, comfortable and spacious for our family of 5 (2 adults, 2 children 1 baby). Modern appliances and everything we could need for the week. We can’t imagine a better accommodation in Ilfracombe in the perfect location for strolling down to the town. We would definitely recommend and stay again!

Generous extras eg biscuits, tea, coffee, loo rolls. Extras like books and games. Excellent property manager who responded quickly to all texts. Superb cleaning company. ThoroughLy recommend! :)

only complaint really was that the mattress in the main bedroom was stained and it spoiled what would have been 5 star reviews for the price paid i would have expected a clean mattress

Allocated parking in front of the property. Plenty to do locally even in early March when the weather was a bit mixed.

We wanted luxury and we got it!

The apartment was well equipped with everything needed. The bedlinen and towels were top quality. There was even equipment we could take with us to the beach ( if the weather was good).

This place is as good as it looks.

Very clean, gorgeous furnishings, comfortable bed and high end cooker, hob and coffee machine. Extremely secure accommodation and parking and a great location, central but very quiet at night. The owner, Sandy, could not have been more helpful and the guide provided was most useful. We would definitely stay here again.

Immaculately clean apartment, everything is modern and good quality, we as a family had a brilliant time, the owner thought of everything to have kept in the apartment so that we didn't need to get anything, there was lots of games and things for our children to do, we highly recommend this.

The facilities within the apartment were lovely & lots of attention to detail to make it home from home, loved the welcome pack & very fluffy towels. Very glad of the lift after the short but steep walk back to the apartment from the town & secure building & had designated parking as described.

6 Arlington Villas is a lovely comfortable well equipped apartment having everything you could need for a weeks stay.

It was spotlessly clean and everything about it is good quality. The bed is very comfortable and the shower is excellent. In addition it has a superb view from the living area / balcony. Good WiFi and having an allocated parking space are a bonus.

Great location and view.

Every thing you can think of is provided and there are lots of little extra touches making the apartment feel very special. Particularly liked that the owner contacted us a few days before we were due to be there.

This is our second visit to this beautiful apartment, it is very modern, well equipped and spotlessly clean.

The phone call from the owner prior to our visit was very much appreciated.

We arrived at the apartment on the 22nd December fora Xmas break and we were immediately bowled over by the apartment and the amazing views!

!.The apartment is modern and tastefully decorated throughout, everything we needed within this aptment and Sandy was only a phone call away if w e had any queries.We went for a few walks by the quayside and along the front which were lovely but have to admit we were here for a rest and that is what this apartment delivered in spades. Our highlight was sitting by the window in the reading/viewing chairs ,which are SO comfy. We will be back!!!!

Comfortable, beautiful, great view, in walking distance of town and the harbour. On-site parking is good. The little touches left for our arrival was beautiful too. The only thing that would have made it better would have been if there was some milk when we arrived. I’d definitely recommend this for property to anyone looking for somewhere to stay that has everything

The owner was very helpful (not intrusive) in providing information. It is well equipped, modern and clean. The block has a lift which is useful when arriving /departing and parking was well organised and secure. We would return!

Very comfortable with excellent views over the bay. Excellent communication regarding arrival and a very welcoming bottle of wine and fresh milk in the fridge. Nothing has been spared here. A must for anyone wanting a relaxing break.

This is an fantastic apartment with amazing views.

It it has everything you could need. The location was perfect with great restaurants, harbour and shops minutes away. We went to Woolacombe beach body boarding, its a fantastic beach, Rib boat tour from Ilfracombe was brilliant we saw porpoise, seals and a sun fish. Kayaking in Combe Martin was amazing. We visited Lynton and Barnstable. We loved Ilfracombe try the Thatched Inn , Wards Bistro, Tandoori Nights, Terrace Tapas and Giovanna and Luca all great places to eat. Definitely book restaurants ahead as there are other places we want to go to but fully booked from six weeks before we visited

The apartment had everything you need, it was very clean amazing views.

We used the apartment as as base, as Ilfracombe is very central to some beautiful places, couldn’t recommend the apartment highly enough as you have your own parking space especially if your travelling with a nice vehicle you can relax that it is safe, but you do need to book restaurants in Ilfracombe well in advance not to be disappointed.

This apartment is home from home.

You want for nothing as everything you need for an enjoyable holiday is provided. The view is superb, the beds are really comfortable. Sky sports and movies to keep the adults happy, Playstation to keep the kids happy! (As well as a cupboard full of games) As an apartment, the block is so quiet, yet its just a 10 minute walk to the harbour. Choices of restaurants and pubs around the town mean you wont need to cook! The next time we stay in Ilfracombe, we'll definitely stay in No.6!

The apartment is delightfully fitted, furnished to a very high standard (5* Hotel), with a great view from the balcony, watching the tides and the sun setting over the hills.

A lovely place to relax, unwind, read a book, or watch the beach area directly outside. Parking is close by and in view. The apartment is very well equipped to dine in if you choose to, or close enough to walk to all the local pubs, restaurants and cafes although being on the top side of the hill, the walk back uphill will requires some stamina, but more than worth it when you are inside.

We were two couples staying in this apartment which was stunning, spacious, well equipped and decorated to a very high standard, very clean,very comfortable, lovely bedrooms, and an amazing view.

The apartment was very clean modern and probably the most comfortable apartment we’ve stayed in.

The owners have thought of everything that you need for a holiday, lovely views and walks Ilfracombe was nice and friendly will be returning to 6 Arlington villas.

The apartment is stylishly furnished with extremely comfortable beds and all the equipment you could wish for - we particularly appreciated the beach cupboard full of body boards, windbreaks, buckets and spades, fishing nets etc.

Kitchen delightful though with so many great restaurants just around the corner there’s no need to cook. The terrace was so lovely that I would never have left it except that the sun only got onto it after 5 pm. The whole apartment felt good - it was spacious, full of light, comfortable and handsome. Exceptionally nice bathrooms too.

Fab location, beautiful views and very helpful management.

The cupboard full of beach-going paraphernalia was a great bonus, and the selection of entertainment for the children was spot on.

We had a amazing stay,it was pure luxury,and the view was also amazing you really didn't have to venture out, watching the sunset was something else we definitely would come back again, the restaurant's were just up the road we went to 71 a small bistro but the food was very good and a walk to the harbour was only 6 minutes away, so thank you for are great holiday.

The Owners of 6 Arlington clearly care for their customers.

They set out to give everything sensibly necessary. Disappointed to find an ashtray on the Balcony Table having chosen the property because it said 'No Smoking' (It did not cause us any problem). I am afraid that the Lift had a very bad smell noticeable for the entire week. I guess it comes from the 'Rubbish Collection Area' where the Lift possibly rests. (Again did not cause us any problem because it did not infiltrate into the property). I mention it because it is the first thing that a customer encounters when entering the Block and can start off by giving the wrong impression. Everything was well organised from Sykes point of view. Arriving, entering and leaving went like clockwork. The Villa Maria Sauvignon Blanc Bottle of wine on arrival was a nice touch. Car Parking was perfect except for the thousands of messages left by the seagulls. I'm glad that we had Satnav to find the property. You might like to consider a crisper pictorial approach. A little disappointed with Ilfracombe itself. It did not match my memory of the Town arrived at 65 years ago when I was 15 and came to Combe Martin with the Boys Brigade. I guess it is not sensible of me to expect anything else but it now has a 'Blackpool' image when in reality the Town is anything but. Would we book again; Sykes - Yes; 6 Arlington - Yes; Ilfracombe - No. I/we have tried to be constructive based on many years of travel throughout the world. Hope it turns out to be useful to you. Wonderful apartment overlooking Ilfracombe bay

We have stayed at 6 Arlington Villa twice in the last 6 months and cannot recommend it enough.

The pictures online look amazing but in reality, it really does surpass expectations. The location is ideal and it has everything you need for a luxury break. There is no expense spared by the owner and they have thought of absolutely everything, in order for you to have an enjoyable stay. The welcome pack which includes tea bags, biscuits, Nespresso pods and a bottle of wine is such a nice touch too. You have a lovely view of Capstone Hill and Ilfracombe seafront; you really couldn’t ask for a better view or location. It really is perfect and we will be back again.

Every year we stay in either Devon or Cornwall, and I must say that this Appartment is by far the highest standard we've stayed at, there is no expense spared, in decor, bedding, kitchen etc, in fact it felt like brand new and that nobody had ever stayed here before, as the decor was superb and immaculate and just perfect.

We are also impressed by the owner who choose to contact us several times to make sure we are happy, and also to offer advice, once again it's normally the agency or housekeeper that is the main contact, but saying that Michael from Sykes Cottages spoke so high of the property and the owner, which was a good sign. The beach can be seen from the balcony, but it's so quite and not noisy at all. The main restaurants and shops, bars etc are a few mind walk from the apartment and there is a Tesco supermarket a five min drive. We can't rave about this Appartment enough, in our eyes it's just Amazing

This apartment was pure Luxury, Sandy the owner has thought of everything to make your stay perfect, the accommodation is well looked after and maintained, super view out to sea and although small, excellent balcony for the obligatory glass of wine or morning coffee!

Great location on Ilfracombe sea front to watch the world go by or so convenient for all that Ilfracombe has to offer. The beds and bedding are top quality as are the fixtures and fittings, can't fault, would definitely recommend and would hope to stay again in the future.

This is a fabulous, luxurious apartment which lived up to expectations.

We stayed for 3 weeks and although towels and be linen were changed weekly, it was disappointing to see that the housekeeper(s) failed to offer any cleaning services throughout our stay.

Very clean, spacious and contemporary with excellent views. A great location near to some fabulous restaurants. A lot of thought and care has gone into making the guest feel as comfortable as possible.

Fabulous luxury apartment with amazing sea views.

Spotlessly clean on arrival with a lovely welcome pack including a bottle of Marlborough Sauvignon - very nice touch. Lovely modern decor and furnishings. Games for the children, games console (which we hardly used as there was so much to do on the beaches), books and DVDs. Wet suit and body boards supplied. Very well equipped kitchen even down to scales, measuring jugs etc. Extremely comfortable lounge furniture and very comfortable beds, excellent location only a couple of minutes' walk to the beach and about 5 minutes walk to the harbour. Lots of pubs, restaurants and tea rooms within walking distance and even a Michelin-starred restaurant a few minutes' walk away. Designated parking space which is essential in Ilfracombe, medium walk/short drive to lots of other lovely beaches. We would happily come back here, probably the nicest accommodation we've ever stayed in on holiday.

A very well appointed property within easy reach of the harbour and many other attractions.

The flat is very new and the public areas are kept very clean and tidy. The Parking is marked out with the flat number the space relates to so there is no prob;em with losing a space. The flat and the amenities supplied by the Owners are much more than we have experienced at any other properties and were very much appreciated. Due to the weather conditions at the time of our visit the owner telephoned us to make alternative arrangements for the booking due to snow and apologised because it had not been possible to arrange an arrival pack. Not a problem for us. We would thoroughly recommend this flat.

The apartment itself was beyond amazing, the pictures looked amazing but the reality of it surpassed expectations.

The communication with the owners was second to none, they were polite, lovely and very helpful. You couldn’t ask for better views and a better location, lots of local shops, bars and restaurants and a short drive to a supermarket was all you could ask for. We’re literally counting down the time until we can return!!

Very minor issue was that I am only 5'2" tall and one or two items in the kitchen were out of my reach, tumblers and wine glasses in particular.

This in no way lessened our enjoyment of staying in this amazing apartment as my husband came to my rescue.
