“We stayed for a week at the end of August and, overall, we were really impressed with the apartment.”

The photos don't do the views justice, they were spectacular, and so lovely to watch the sun come up while enjoying a coffee on the balcony. The sofa, chair and beds were all very comfortable. The location is great - about a mile walk from both the beach and the harbour where all the restaurants are. It's a tough climb back up the hill afterwards but that is the price you pay for the great views! There is a Co-op and a pub within a short walk. We didn't try the pub so can't comment on that. The hot tub was a nice bonus too. The shower was nice and powerful. There were a few minor gripes as follows: only a miniscule amount of hand-wash and washing up liquid were provided (though there were a few dishwasher tablets). Some of the jets in the hot tub didn't seem to be working. The main bedroom could do with curtains or a blackout blind. It is east-facing and we were woken about 6 every morning with the sun streaming through the thin white blind. The WiFi dropped out on our second to last evening and didn't come back on again. Granted, we did not contact Sykes about this so can't comment on how quickly they would have sorted it. There are no instructions on recycling etc so just had to hope for the best when we put the rubbish out. I only mention these points as they are largely issues that have featured in previous reviews too, and don't seem to have been rectified. That said, none of them spoilt our enjoyment of the holiday and we would still highly recommend this place as we had a great week.
