    • “We went on a family break with five adults, but the cottage and grounds are also fantastic for children. Ellen and Rob made us very welcome, with cream tea on arrival and help with anything we needed. Great position. Lovely peaceful rural setting but only a short drive to sandy beaches, coastal path and good choice of supermarkets. Well fitted and equipped kitchen with all usual necessities, comfortable sitting room, with wood burner and 2 recliner sofas comfy beds. Probably one of the best all-round cottages for us.”

    Mr Jackson, October 2018

    • “These guys were superb at their work in so many ways, everything was clean and tidy, the welcome was so warm and friendly .Fishing was awesome and out Mia caught some big carp,it was productive at every visit.Rob took the kids down for a late night badger hunt,,,,you could not want for more, stunning walks and privacy,if we lived nearer i would just go to see them as friends.Thank you! Oh forgot Cream tea was in the fridge awaiting us...”

Mr Coster, Southend On Sea Essex, May 2018

    • “It was a good place, very welcoming owners and we enjoyed our holiday very much.”

The Property

Positioned amidst fields and woodland just a few miles from the dramatic North Devon coastline and the glorious flat sands of Westward Ho!, the working farm of Winscott Barton offers visitors the opportunity to experience life on a real working farm and an opportunity to experience rural life at its best. You can be in the thick of things at lambing time or relaxing by one of the lakes, casting a line or simply contemplating the local wildlife, where at night time under a canopy of stars unblemished by city lights, an array of nocturnal creatures including owls, foxes and badgers can be watched as they emerge under the security of darkness.
Just three miles from the nearest beach, this glorious stretch of coastline boasts long stretches of beautiful sands and small rocky coves to keep children amused for hours.
Nearby The Milkyway is a great day out for all the family and The Atlantic Village set in four acres is practically on the doorstep with a supermarket, a whole host of stores offering massive savings, and an imaginative mix of leisure attractions to keep all ages entertained.
