Bridge Cottage offers a straightforward, welcoming base in Budleigh Salterton, one of Devon’s quieter coastal towns tucked along the Jurassic Coast.

It’s ideal for couples, families or friends looking for a comfortable spot to return to after days spent exploring beaches, trails and nearby villages – and dogs are welcome too.

The kitchen is well equipped for proper home cooking, with an electric oven, convection hob, dishwasher and washing machine – handy after a day out in the countryside.

The living/dining room provides an easy space to unwind, complete with an electric fire for relaxed evenings and a TV for when you just want to switch off.

Upstairs, the double bedroom with its own TV and the twin room both offer a peaceful place to rest.

The main bathroom includes a corner bath with shower over, while the downstairs cloakroom keeps things simple when everyone’s getting ready.

Outside, the enclosed courtyard is a pleasant spot for a morning coffee or an evening drink before heading out.

With roadside parking, WiFi and gas central heating, the essentials are covered so you can focus on enjoying your stay.

Budleigh Salterton itself is known for its long pebble beach, laid-back atmosphere and independent shops.

The South West Coast Path runs right through, offering clifftop views and scenic walks from your doorstep.

Exmouth is close by for sandy beaches and watersports, while Sidmouth delivers classic seaside charm with its promenade and cafés. For a change of pace, Exeter’s historic cathedral quarter and shops make for a great day out.

Whether you’re here for a slow, steady break or to fill your days with fresh air and exploring, Bridge Cottage puts you in a prime spot to enjoy this beautiful stretch of Devon.

Our first impression was "oh what a charming cottage".

We really enjoyed staying there. The welcome basket was appreciated. We are a couple and only used one of the two bedrooms. Though both were equally comfortable spaces. The courtyard garden was a darling, little sun trap. We enjoyed sitting there in the morning with coffee. It was a short drive to the beach and from the cottage there was a nice dog walk up the quiet lane. There was 5 minute walk to a winery that was open to the public. Yes, we had a lovely break.

This is a lovely little cottage in a quiet street, opposite a pub which is very nice.

It has many plus points and a few minus ones, on the whole it is a very well equipped holiday cottage, plus points include a small hamper on arrival with, tea, coffee, sugar, fudge and apple juice and within the house, hand wash and dish cloths with all bed linen and towels included. A couple of minus points, I found the double bed very uncomfortable and also no curtains in the second bedroom which is very odd, we ended up using one of the towels to block it.
