“A lovely lodge, warm enough for winter breaks.”

Set in a very rural location alongside the West Somerset Railway line with steam trains running past. Very quiet and peaceful. This is a lovely location with good proximity to Taunton and Williton and shops, the Quantocks, Exmoor and the Jurassic coast of Somerset.

Within the village, you will also a plethora of amenities including a village shop and post office, a school, a country pub, and several small specialist shops. As well as the notable parish church, the village plays host to a carved tomb of Sir George Sydenham, the father-in-law of Sir Francis Drake and a rare medieval stone pulpit, one of only two in Somerset, just two of the many historical highlights within the area. On the doorstep are the Quantock Hills and the majestic landscape of the Exmoor National Park, both of which provide excellent walks and opportunity to discover breath-taking scenery.
