    “Not disabled friendly.”

    Not pet friendly.even tough it says it is, and though there was an info .folder with waste disposal requirements indicating recycling boxes in woodshed,didn’t know where that was until our 6th day.All in all a very dissappointing week,a mistake I do not intend to make again.

While The Linney is all on one level, we would always recommend getting in touch prior to booking if anyone in your party has specific accessibility needs, so we can ensure the property is suitable. Our listing currently notes that up to two dogs are welcome, however we weren’t aware that cats would be accompanying your stay, as this wasn’t included on the booking. We have since updated the information to clarify that cats are not permitted at the property. We understand that there is a lot to take in during the initial meet and greet but we would gladly have reminded you of the location of the woodshed had we known. Property Owner

The property

This beautifully renovated barn conversion can be found nestled within the owner's grounds, on the edge of the peaceful village of Littleham. Presenting delightful accommodation in an idyllic setting, The Linney offers an escape for those looking to explore the beautiful regions of Devon and Cornwall. The stable door brings you into a light, split-level, open-plan interior with a sitting area warmed by a woodburning stove and a fully equipped kitchen for rustling up those tasty dinners. You are welcomed by a vaulted ceiling and exposed trusses, with a cosy, romantic feel for a home-from-home experience. The dining area is tucked in a corner of the lounge, where you can enjoy a delicious meal before lighting the fire for the evening. The king-size bed rests on a raised platform up a couple of steps and adjoins the stylish shower room. To the front is a sunny seating area with bistro-style table and chairs, and, to the rear of the cottage, a lawned area with picnic table and long views over the surrounding countryside.

A short walk away is the village pub in Littleham, offering real ale and home-cooked food. Just 4 miles away are the beautiful sandy beaches of Westward Ho! with water sports in abundance. The historic town of Bideford offers shops, pubs and restaurants, and is also the departure point of the MS Oldenburg, which will carry you on an exciting day trip to Lundy Island.

Along the River Torridge is the fishing village of Appledore, also worth a visit. The South West Coastal Path and the traffic-free Tarka Trail offer superb walking and cycling, and there are lots of leisure activities to entertain all including golf, surfing and horse riding.

The quiet village of Littleham is positioned close to Exmoor National Park, in North Devon, rubbing shoulders with the border to Cornwall. It plays host to active film and gardening clubs, a Methodist chapel and St. Swithun's Church, as well as The Crealock Arms serving real ales and home cooked food. Bideford is a stone's throw away, with a selection of shops, cafes and restaurants, along with the Atlantic Village Outlet Shopping Centre. Explore the dominating coastline at Westward Ho! with plenty of watersport activities to enjoy. Northam Burrows Country Park lies in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is home to England's oldest golf course, whilst the South West Coastal Path and the traffic-free Tarka Trail offer wonderful walking and cycling opportunities.
