    ! 1. Outdoor pool has a thick layer of algae around the edges. Do you realise this can cause would be swimmers to have Ecoli due to inadequate chlorine? 2. Need to check the itinerary of kitchen equipment as there often lacked 6 of everything. 3. Oven was filthy. 4. Double bed was very damp. Had to have both radiator and dehumidifier on to air it.

    Thank you for taking the time to share your recent experience at the Coach House. I am sorry to hear that aspects of your stay did not meet expectations, and I appreciate the opportunity to respond. The property was deep cleaned before your arrival, and we take cleanliness very seriously. The pool is subject to a strict, fully compliant maintenance regime to ensure water safety and hygiene. A time stamped photo can be provided. The deposit that you noticed is a result of modern suntan lotions and fake tanning products containing copper - staff make every effort to remove the staining from the pool. There have been no concerns raised from other users. Our housekeeper is checking the kitchen and oven, though no issues were previously noted. The mattress in bedroom two had a sanitised stain and was already due for replacement. Both it and the double bed were confirmed dry, and no odours were detected. We are reviewing the pillows and your comment about the TV, though the listing is accurate. Parasols are not included, as the patio is naturally shaded. We were surprised not to hear from you during your stay, as we are always happy to help in real time. No evidence was provided for the issues raised, but we are still taking your comments seriously and reviewing everything carefully. Property Owner

The property

The Coach House is a detached bungalow near the Devonshire town of Modbury.

The traditional stone building has an open plan living area which is bright and contemporary and three comfortable bedrooms, a double, a twin and a children's bunk room.

From the living area, French doors open on to the patio and front lawn, where you can enjoy the late summer evenings - and glimpses of the pool are visible through the archway of the gatehouse.

The small and delightful Georgian market town of Modbury rests in the heart of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, on the western side of Devon’s glorious South Hams district.
