“We enjoyed our stay in Westholme Lodge.”

It supplied pretty much all of our needs and gave us plenty of space. Really good kitchen with plenty of equipment and space, as well as a good sized table. Nice clean bathrooms with plenty of hot water. The sitting room was comfy and practical (poor reception on TV) but had a problem with the lighting... difficult to switch on and a bulb missing from the central fitting. The kids play room was useful as were the toys in the garden. The decor was good and reasonably fresh but felt that the top floor bedrooms could have had better beds and linen...I don't like sleeping on a mattress with only a thin sheet between me, especially when it is old! Mattress saver? The first floor bedrooms were much nicer and fresher. I'm being picky here, but some of the windows opened with a safety catches, some opened wide and one set were locked fast. With small children, I would have prefered all to have safety latches. We could not find a book with all the usual innformation for the property...however, we worked it out in the end! Finally, someone needs to do a bit of maintenance as more than one door handle was loose, the back door handle came off and shut someone out twice. We would return but feel that there needed to be a bit more attention to detail, but otherwise a good property.
