    • “This is a lovely cottage in a beautiful location. Sarah and Barry couldn't be more helpful. Definatley recommend Butterdon Barn.”

    Mr Walker, Bristol, January 2019

    • “Very well appointed and comfortable property in a lovely location. Owners very friendly and welcoming. A special thank you for the beautifully decorated Christmas tree.”

    Mrs Thame, Torquay, December 2018

    • “The views were amazing at butterdon cottage. We would recommend to anyone that wants to visit Dartmoor.”

    Mr Barnes, SOUTHEND-ON-SEA, November 2018

    • “We thought this was a fantastic cottage, one of the best we have stayed in. The parking area, size of the garden, the position, the cottage itself and things like the hot tub and ensuites were super. Only one small negative is the road from Moretonhampstead to the cottage, not for the inexperienced driver or faint hearted! A challenge each time we used it. Great owners who were very friendly but also allowed us our privacy.”

    Mr Betts, Norwich, October 2018

    • “Quiet, peaceful holiday , with caring hosts who look after everything you need”

Mr Hardeman, Sutton Coldfield, September 2018

    • “This was our third visit to this lovely Barn it is always a delight to stay here. The tranquillity and location make it an idyllic getaway. Sarah and Barry always make us feel very welcome.”

    Mrs Clark, WITNEY, September 2018

    • “Wonderful holiday beautiful location, we all thourghly enjoyed our stay at this barn property, the hot tub was a bonus . The only thing we didn’t like was manovering the country lanes . Would definitely recommend it . Our dogs loved certainly enjoyed themselves.”

    Mrs Taylor, DORCHESTER, July 2018

    • “Brilliant holiday at Butterdon again, everything is perfect!”

    Mrs Hodgson, PETERLEE, June 2018

    • “Wonderful peaceful location and property almost met the expectations. One minor issue was one of the bedrooms had no wardrobes to hang clothes however; there were coat hangers on the back of the door so we used the clothes airer that was downstairs to hang other clothes on, maybe a thought to consider putting a wardrobe in for future use. Everything else you would need was available and a nice touch was to have milk, eggs and flowers upon arrival. The owner was very helpful and said at the start if we needed anything to contact her. No signal on phones until you reached the bottom of the road and did not like the single lane road again however, if you wanted a complete rest and peaceful week this is definitely the place to stay, plenty of space inside as well as outside, would recommend this property and enjoyed our stay there.”

    Ms Keen, Whitstable, June 2018

    • “Easy and convenient booking service. Lovely accommodation in a fantastic setting. Proprietors very friendly and helpful. We love this Barn and will definitely be back for another holiday there.”

    Mr Freeman, Redruth, May 2018

    • “Had a really lovely week and the weather was beautiful. Barry and Sarah were extremely nice people and their sausages and bacon were the best we have ever tasted ! We will certainly recommend Butterdon Barn to our friends and hope to return there in the future.”

    Mrs Regan, BURNHAM-ON-SEA, May 2018

    • “As always Butterdon Barn is a wonderful place to stay and Sarah and Barry are perfect hosts. However, we are very disappointed that Sykes have taken over Helpful Holidays as we feel we always got personal service with Helpful, from people who know the area, the owners and the properties. We do not feel this will be the case with Sykes. This is no detriment to Butterdon, which is a wonderful place to stay, it just means for other holidays in the future we will be looking at smaller companies with good property/area knowledge, who are happy to answer questions before booking. Very sad as we have been using Helpful Holidays for many years now.”

Mr Hardeman, Sutton Coldfield, April 2018

    • “Really enjoyed our stay will definitely return. We have a wonderful 2 days exploring the moors. Relaxing in the hot tub, the barn was so cosy and the beds so comfortable. The biscuits on arrival were a nice touch.”

    Miss Nanson, Southampton, April 2018
