“We stayed during mid August and found Sarah to be a good host who thought of everything and helped with any queries.”

The cottage was very well equipped (including a delicious "Welcome goody" pack!), clean and located in beautiful surroundings. There are plenty of walks to do from Butterdon Barn and we saw many animals during our stay too. We liked the hot tub and you can change the hot tub temperature manually. The cottage was very well equipped (including a delicious "Welcome goody" pack!), clean and located in beautiful surroundings. There are plenty of walks to do from Butterdon Barn and we saw many animals during our stay too. We liked the hot tub and you can change the hot tub temperature manually. The tub is sheltered by a tree, which is great from the sun and rain, although it may obscure the stars at night from where the tub is positioned. The hot tub can run all jets on medium, but only on the high setting one side at a time using a dial. During the daytime we seemed to get lots of flies that caused a bit of an annoyance around the tub, but in the evening it was never a problem and therefore we stuck to using the tub after dark. Sarah maintained it and kept it clean throughout our visit. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone visiting Devon. Butterdon Barn has much to offer and is the ideal place for stargazing too!
