The lodge we stayed in looked a bit unloved outside, as did some of the other lodges. The garden furniture and decking needed a wash down. Inside was okay, but a few things could be improved. The kitchen could be better equipped, only five mugs, so no point in putting them in the dishwasher, but a cupboard full of glasses! No kitchen scissors, no measuring jug, and only two small saucepans. The settee was uncomfortable, and the room could do with some coat hooks on the wall. The bedrooms need blinds that block out the light. The wardrobe in the twin bedded room had little storage, due to an empty cardboard box and a Christmas tree being stored inside, and very few coat hangers. The duvet cover had marks on it, it looked as though it had been washed but a previous stain hadn't completely come out. My son who slept in the double bedroom said the bed was uncomfortable.
Newton Ferrers is a lovely village to stay in, we had sunny weather and no rain, so enjoyed our holiday, but we expected the lodge to be better than it was.
