    “The hut was beautiful and had everything we needed and very cosy and warm.”

    Wish the weather had been colder to allow us to have the log burner on. The hot tub was perfect and so warm. The bed was super comfortable. The views from the big are amazing.

Little Silver Pheasant is one of four shepherds’ huts, it’s unique design incorporating two sections joined by a central walkway, providing a bedroom with king-size bed, shower room and an open plan living area.

Positioned at the front end of the apple orchard providing magnificent views across the Taw valley in North Devon from both sections of the hut through double patio doors, Little Silver Pheasant comes with its own private hot tub.

Leave your car behind in the private car park and collect your very own private golf buggy to transport around this magical setting, lit by fairy-tale sensor lighting so as not to disturb the dark skies.

Inside, one section boasts a deep, indulgent king-size bed wrapped in Egyptian cotton for blissful nights and your own private walk in en-suite shower room.

A walkway leads you into the other section with two armchairs, a foldaway dining table and a wood-burning stove providing all romance for cosy evenings inside.

All mod cons including Wifi and Smart TV, under-floor heating, an Amazon Alexa personal assistant pre-programmed with area guidance, and a Nespresso machine for your early morning coffee fix.

There is a neat gas cooker and counter fridge providing all you need to rustle up quick meals.

Outside a garden and patio area comes with your own private hot tub, a Chiminea, loveseat and table and chairs for alfresco romantic dining whilst soaking up the beautiful views.

The small rural North Devon village of High Bickington is set in the area known as 'Tarka country'. On a ridge above the Taw Valley boasting views towards Exmoor and Dartmoor, the village offers a Post Office, two pubs, a holistic beauty salon and Libbaton golf course. The small village of Umberleigh is only five miles away and has a railway station where trains run on the Tarka Line to Barnstaple or Exeter. Within driving distance is the historic town of Great Torrington, where you will find independent shops and Dartington glassworks where visitors can watch in wonder at the glassblowers, plus on the outskirts of town is Rosemoor, a garden of national importance with forty acres to delight and inspire a wide range of visitors. This area of North Devon has something for everyone including country walks, fishing and golf, as well as good access to a selection of wonderful beaches.
