  • “The cottage itself was amazing and totally exceeded our expectations.”

It was warm, cosy and well equipped, it was a pleasure to stay there and we would love to visit again another time. It would have been good to have a photo of the front of the cottage online that is the first view of the cottage when you arrive. It was warm, cosy and well equipped, it was a pleasure to stay there and we would love to visit again another time. It would have been good to have a photo of the front of the cottage online that is the first view of the cottage when you arrive. We were not sure if it was the correct cottage as all the photos are of the view of the back, until we saw the 'Hope Cottage' sign! The parking space is tight to get in and out of especially if you have a long vehicle like ours but it is manageable. The wood burners are amazing and the caretaker made sure that there was enough wood for the week, although if we had run out, we could have got some from near by. If you want peace and tranquillity with some beautiful walks, this is the place to go. It would have been good to have a pub within walking distance (nearest 3 miles away) but you can't have everything. The cottage and surroundings made up for it.
