Junket Cottage

We’ve just had a brilliant stay at Junket Cottage and honestly didn’t want to leave!

The cottage is lovely—really comfortable, spotlessly clean, and has everything you need for a relaxing break. It felt cosy from the moment we arrived and was the perfect base for exploring the area. We were made to feel so welcome with beautiful flowers, a bottle of Prosecco, and a delicious cream tea waiting for us on arrival. It was such a thoughtful touch and a wonderful start to our holiday. Linda was fantastic throughout. Communication was excellent before and during our stay, and she was so friendly and helpful. It’s clear she really cares about her guests and wants them to have a great stay. Noss Mayo is such a special place. We loved the beautiful walks, the stunning scenery, and spending time at both The Ship Inn and The Swan Inn. It’s such a peaceful village with a lovely atmosphere, and we can’t wait to come back. Thank you, Linda, for a wonderful stay. We hope to return again soon!

A wonderful stay.

This is an exceptionally beautiful part of the world! We loved taking long walks along the South West coast path and ending up in one of the great pubs on the doorstep. The house itself has everything you need and is finished to a very high standard. Linda is the perfect host- helpful, communicative but also leaves you to it (they live on the other side of the estuary). Thank you for a beautiful stay; we hope you return.

Lovely cottage in a beautiful area.

The cottage is furnished well and well equipped. Would love to return at a warmer time of year to be able to sit outside and take in the lovely views of the river and Newton Ferrers.

Junket Cottage is in a very peaceful location with amazing views of the estuary from every window.

It is very comfortable, beautifully decorated and furnished and immaculately clean with excellent facilities. Linda, the owner, was very helpful before and during our holiday. We had a lovely cream tea and flowers on arrival. We would love to return to the cottage. Many thanks.

A lovely cottage, lovely village just perfect for myself and Kim, peasful just a lovely way of life of the beetun track, my Kim always wanted to stay at junket cottage so was great to have the chance, linda and Tim very helpful in there info as we have been to noss and Newton ferrers over 10 years ago and been back every year.

We will be back.

Spent a great week at Junket Cottage.

Arrived to find cream tea, Prosecco and flowers which was a great start. The owner had previously phoned before our arrival day to welcome us and was very helpful regarding the cottage and locality. Would recommend a stay here in either Junket Cottage or the Studio which we had an opportunity to see. Also the fact the properties have parking is a real bonus.

We had a brilliant holiday at Junkett Cottage.

There was nothing we needed, it has everything. The specification is high, cleanliness is 100% and parking for two cars, Linda (owner) is extremely welcoming…..introductions were made the day after our arrival at the local pub where she recognised our dogs from a description I’d given her…… We will be going back to Noss Mayo in the future and hopefully see you again…..in the Dolphin

The cottage has a great outlook and has been very nicely renovated to a high standard.

We particularly liked the lovely well equipped kitchen and the bedrooms with views over the estuary. Generous off road parking space, which is a big plus in this village We enjoyed the excellent village pubs and easy coastal walks We slept well, eat well and got plenty of fresh sea air. Our border terrier also gives it a five woofs rating.

A lovely cottage nestled on the banks of the beautiful river Yealm.

Immaculately presented with everything you could wish for . Close to beautiful beaches and Plymouth. Walking distance to three excellent pubs. Linda the owner very helpful and kindly left us a bottle of wine .

Very clean with good quality furnishing and appliances. Situation very close to all amenities and just a short drive to good beaches. We really had a great week.

We had stayed at junket cottage in 2017, so were familiar with the facilities.

Linda the owner was very helpful and the cottage was as immaculate as when we last stayed.

Although the house was dog friendly there was no secure outside space for the dog.

However, the cottage was very comfortable, had everything we needed and Linda was on call if we needed anything.

Absolutely delightful and immaculate, and we liked Noss Mayo and surroundings too!

Perhaps coat hooks on the back of the bedroom doors for dressing gowns?

Had the best week, lots of lovely walks discovered Linda the owner was superb and such a lovely touch to have flowers, cream tea and some fizz in the fridge.

A lovely, comfortable and spotlessly clean cottage with good parking which is a bit of a bonus in Noss Mayo.

Within walking distance of Noss’s 2 pubs and at low tide (over causeways) easy access to Newton Ferrers. A new region to us to explore which we really enjoyed.

Had a lovely few days despite the weather The cottage was very well equipped and exceptionally clean and the owner supplied us with a lovely bottle of red wine and cream tea on our arrival.

A lot of thought has gone into making it a very relaxing home from home. We really appreciated the spacious parking area, as the options for parking in Noss Mayo are fairly limited. Linda was very helpful when we spoke to her and there was a lovely vase of fresh flowers on the table when we arrived. Would highly recommend Junket Cottage.

From 2 days before we arrived when I received a lovely call from Linda asking if we'd like a cream tea on arrival I knew this would be a fantastic holiday and we weren't disappointed.

Junket cottage is very much the epitome of the perfect holiday cottage, it's spotlessly clean with every eventuality catered for from logs for the wood burner to soap dispensers in the bathrooms. This is all before I mention the location, on the banks of noss creek where you can watch the rise and fall of the tide in peace and quiet, enjoy a quiet drink or meal at any one of the 3 local pubs, we tried them all, or walk in any direction to various cove beaches. It was our 1st stay at Junket and noss mayo but we'll definitely be back

Absolutely wonderful cottage.

Very comfortable and well appointed. Owners communication was excellent and we had all the information required to have a perfect stay. The views from the bedrooms are stunning and the riverside slipway was an absolute godsend for us, allowing us to launch and store our Paddle board and Kayak without having to lug them around. It was also the perfect setting for a BBQ by the water in truly stunning surroundings.

Of all the excellent Helpful Holidays properties we've stayed at, this was probably the best equipped.

It was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The owner was very nice and the instructions package provided was extremely helpful. And of course, it is beautifully located.

The layout and facilities were very good in Junket Cottage, when the weather permitted the small decking area at front was a bonus along with the private quay below at the riverside.

This cottage is a pure dream the views are to die for the cottage it self does not disappoint it's super clean with all the facilities that you would use in your own home the beds are really comfortable and the kitchen ihas everything that you need, the owners looked after us by giving us a cream tea and a bottle of wine (thank you ) we will definitely be back

Excellent well equipped kitchen. Very comfortable bed and excellent en suite. Linda the owner was an absolute delight. A warm and friendly lady who gave us lots of information about local pubs and places to eat. She obviously cares passionately about her properties and it was much appreciated by us. We would love to return.

The cottage was beautifully furnished very clean and very well equipped.

The owner left us a lovely creamtea and a very nice bottle of wine. All three pubs in the vicinity were really good with high quality food. The location of the cottage was very convenient for walks and we would recommend the coastal path to Stoke Beach.

Junket cottage is superb, there is nothing not to love about it.

The cottage itself is spotlessly clean with lovely furnishings, a fabulous log burner and a kitchen with everything you'll need if you decide to stay in and cook. The bed was the most comfortable we have ever stayed in a rental property. Noss Mayo itself has 3 wonderful pubs and we found everyone we spoke to very friendly. Linda the owner is a delightful lady and works incredibly hard to provide a great holiday experience. Really can't recommend Junket Cottage highly enough. We will definitely be back.

Communication with property owner prior to stay was excellent and beyond anything we have previously experienced when renting holiday cottages.

On arrival there were a number of treats waiting for us which were very much appreciated. The cottage was well insulated from road noise, clean, comfortable and very well appointed. We would be pleased to stay here again and recommend this to others.

Noss Mayo is a delightful village, convenient for the SW Coast path.

Two good pub restaurants and the church is worth a visit. The cottage is well equipped and has good parking.

Your insurance is very overpriced.

You charged a booking fee and then another £35 to postpone due to lockdown. This is disgusting. Our original Xmas week booking for more expensive than the week we moved it to but you did not refund the difference. I will never book with you or your associated companies again. On the plus side, the cottage was great and the owners were very friendly and helpful.

We had a great stay.

We loved the cottage, well equipped, comfortable and a perfect location. Linda the owner was very attentive and helpful, and left us a bottle of fizz, flowers and an afternoon tea, perfect! Some stunning scenery, countryside and coastal walks from the door and 3 really nice pubs with good food in walking distance. Having parking is essential around there as it’s narrow roads, the location of the cottage means you don’t need to venture too far into the narrow roads of the village, which we were glad of.

It is set in a beautiful location with many walks that can be done from the cottage, the coastal path is spectacular with great views. I would recommend Junket cottage for a perfect stay, its a suitable size for a family of four and dog friendly, all set in an area of outstanding beauty. Thank you it was perfect.

The cottage is cosy and well equipped. Not only did the owner, Linda, welcome us with some goodies, she also had the cottage spotless, with an extensive and impressive Covid cleaning list checked off. We love Noss and Newton, the simple pleasure of local walks, not to forget 3 pubs in walking distance, the Ship being our favourite, still running an large menu. It’s why this was our second visit to Junket!

The cottage was a well equipped & very comfortable home from home.

Exceptional views across the estuary but in the heart of the village. All you could need within walking distance including pubs, local coop, butcher, pharmacy etc. Within a short drive of the most wonderful dog friendly beach of mothecombe it really is an idyllic spot. I would not hesitate to recommend it.

This is a beautiful cottage and we will definitely return.

There is a wide range of utensils and equipment available we seriously couldn’t think of anything we needed that was not already there. Lovely area complimented by this quality cottage.

Accommodation was spotless and cottage was well equipped, parking was hassle freed.

Cottage was in a great location and our dog was made very welcome with towels provided for him. The owner also provided scones, jam and cream as a welcome treat on our arrival which set us up for a fabulous start to our holiday.

The cottage is absolutely lovely, really well appointed, comfortable and clean.

And the location is stunning. (If I was to be super critical I would add that if you want a lot of outdoor space you need to be mindful that there is a small seating area opposite, but for more space you walk down steps to the shared quay side - if you're with small children please note!) But that didn't bother us and we wouldn't hesitate to return.

The property was fantastic and booking was really easy.

We also liked the Sykes app which was really useful and easy to use.

It is a beautiful and relaxing place with everything you need to enjoy your holiday. The owner is a genuinely lovely lady who came to greet us and toilets know that if we had any questions she was available to help. The area is lovely and the local pubs are friendly and the food great. Can’t recommend this place enough. It was our first visit but definitely won’t be our last.

Noss Mayo and Newton Ferrers can only be described as a hidden oasis.

Junket Cottage met all my needs,and Linda,the owner was on site with all the local knowledge,which I found most useful. A fabulous spot,and I would recommend it to anyone,at any time of the year.Great walks on the doorstep,and within easy distance to explore the beauty of South Hams and the Tamar Valley.Two fabulous pubs within walking distance of the cottage. Perfection.

Junket Cottage was the nicest property we have rented in Devon and we will definitely return.

Everything was spotless and all that we needed was to hand and in perfect working order. The owner, Mrs Adams, gave us a very warm welcome on arrival and checked at the end of our visit that we had been happy with the cottage.

Junket Cottage is in an excellent location and is extremely comfortable and well equipped.

The owner goes to a great deal of trouble to ensure that visitors feel at home and have everything they need in the way of facilities and information. The mooring down on the creek is a delightful and peaceful place and the village has all you need if you don't want to stray too far. We would love to return to Junket Cottage and Noss Mayo!

Junket cottage is very special indeed.

The location was perfect for accessing all local pubs around the Estuary. It was exceptionally clean and beautifully presented inside and had recently been completely renovated with absolutely everything you need for your stay. The owner had definitely taken pride in their holiday let and you could see this immediately. We cannot recommend Junket cottage enough!!!
