Kirsty “The owners were very friendly and the property is lovely, the only downside is the bath and shower as the bath didn’t have much cold water and the shower was a little temperamental to get the right temperature.”
Besides the water the house was great and very well equipped.

Denise “I found this lovely cottage very clean and tidy on my arrival and everything was in good order.”
It was like a home away from home and I had an amazingly relaxed week away. The only problem I had was with the shower, the tap for adjusting the temperature was very stiff and hard to turn, once I managed to adjust it it was fine. Oh and a blind at the window would be a good addition
- Denise, September 2023Sue “Lovely cottage very homely and a good base for exploring the Amazing coastline, nice quiet location.”
- Sue, September 2023David Maurice “Unfortunately the shower would only run hot as the temperature control would not work.”
Otherwise it was a lovely property.
- David Maurice, June 2023Darren “Lovely well equipped cottage, which makes a great base for exploring some amazing places.”
Lyme Regis, Beer beach and Montacute house are a must. The cottage is very spacious and has everything you need, to make your holiday one to remember.
- Darren, May 2023Jenny “Stayed at the cottage for a visit to family in the area, cottage is cosy, clean and comfortable and has everything you would need.”
The addition of some basic supplies was welcome as we arrived on a bank hol Monday. Would happily stay here again.
- Jenny, April 2023Simon & Jacqui “The property is lovely and quirky and fun, we had a happy time and would recommend to others.”
It is in a lovely and convenient position for Somerset, Devon and Dorset. The Jurassic coast is on the doorstep and just keeps giving of views, good walks and if you are of a mind a lot of exciting fossil hunting can be done. Doggies have nice walkies up the road as directed in the welcome pack. The only points we can respectfully suggest is that we feel it is essential for safety reasons to put anti slip on the rugs in the house.
- Simon & Jacqui, October 2022Charlotte “A beautiful cottage and in a great place to explore.”
We will definitely be back.
- Charlotte, April 2022Sarah “A really lovely cottage.”
Snug and cozy. Our two girls enjoyed their trip. The local area is a hive of activities for people of all ages, at any time of year. Would love to stay again.
- Sarah, February 2022David “Beautiful cottage lovely location.”

- David, November 2021Claire “Cosy, comfortable character cottage.”
So easy to settle in and feel at home.
- Claire, October 2021Christine “Lovely cottage, very clean.”
Location was very peaceful and quiet.
- Christine, September 2021Georga “Gorgeous cottage, beautifully dressed and absolutely spotless.”
The beds were very comfortable and we had everything we needed. The only criticism I have is that the step in the kitchen was a hazard, not being marked. Two of our party tripped up or down it, hurting themselves.
- Georga, August 2021Lucy “Beautiful, comfortable, and well equipped cottage, only 20 mins easy drive to Lyme Regis beach, a good local shop only a few mins walk away, and the perfect location for exploring the surrounding areas of Dorset, Devon and Somerset.”
- Lucy, July 2021Wayne “The cottage is ideally located to travel to lots of areas including the Jurassic coast.”
It’s also located in a very quiet street.

- Andrew, December 2020Trudi “Feel that the shower arrangements need to be improved, wall fixing, shower ...”
Feel that the shower arrangements need to be improved, wall fixing, shower curtain Advise that parking is ‘in the road’ opposite the cottage
- Trudi, September 2020Michelle “Beautiful cottage.”
- Michelle, August 2020Suzy “Lovely cottage, gorgeous decor, bedding and the kitchen was absolutely stunning.”
Lots of lovely personal touches. Our only negative comment would be the cleanliness. Whilst I am sure there must be extra cleaning steps during Covid - we did notice quite a few dusty corners eg under the TV table and alongside the bedside tables in the 2nd double bedroom. Also around the sink, the drainer and compost bin needed a clean on our arrival. Overall, the cottage was great and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you
- Suzy, July 2020Carys “Really beautiful cottage.”
Very well equipped and gorgeous location. Clean, easy to book and deal with the owners. Perfect for a relaxed holiday. Only tiny issue was that the neighbours have young children who woke us up every morning before 6am crying as the sound comes through easily into the master bedroom. Although it is an old terraced cottage so I understand this is part of the quirks.
- Carys, January 2020Glenis “Lovely cottage- had everything we needed & the area was great for getting to places we wanted to visit.”
Somerset/Doset /Devon all so very beautiful!
- Glenis, September 2019Janice “A beautiful cottage set on the borders of Somerset and Devon.”
Property very welcoming and clean. Beds very comfortable and bedding and towels of a good quality. Kitchen has everything you need, lounge very comfortable with Smart TV and Xbox (which my son loved !) A good variety of books to read and games to play for all ages. I would thoroughly recommend this property to my friends.
- Janice, August 2019Anthony “We have a fantastic time at the cottage.”
Its a great location to explore the breaches and countryside. Very much appreciated.
- Anthony, May 2019Nikala “We enjoyed our stay at 2 Wisteria Cottage.”
The cosy cottage had everything we could need. There was a local Sainsbury’s nearby which was handy for shopping. We visited lots of local attractions nearby such as Charmouth Beach, Lyme Regis, Montacute House, Lulworth Cove/Durdle Door and Seaton Trams.
- Nikala, February 2019Paulina “Amazing find on line, so happy to have found this charming, spacious, clean, quaint and beautifully designed cottage.”
It was accurate in description and was an absolute delight to find it as it met our expectations. We've spent the festive season hear and loved how warm and cosy it felt. We had the added bonus of the wonderful thoughtful touch of the host to have beautifully decorated the Christmas tree and the living room area. In addition to mulled wine and mince pies, we had treats left for our little dog. We also had tea and fresh milk on arrival which was most appreciated and welcomed after our long journey. Extra wood for the open fire was available for us which was an absoulete delight and comforting. We had a fully equipped kitchen with new pots and pans. A variety of herbs and spices was also thoughtfully left for usage. Preparation of our Christmas dinner and our 5 days at Wisteria cottage was effortless. The bed rooms were clean and spacious, comfortable beds with extra soft throws, Egyptian cotten bedding, and lovely soft towels. We could not have asked for more in this area. Wonderful. The neighours were friendly and we were greeted whilst walking locally. Our experience in the area was very positive. We spent a lovely Christmas Eve in Lyme Regis beach and the surroundig area. Worth a vist. We also went to Chard. We found the George's Inn Pub which is dog friendly and most welcoming , definately worth visiting as well as the surrounding area. Oh! and we were allowed to bring our dog in church for Christmas mass. Wonderful welcome. We visited Taunton and Axminister but our favourite part of the day was returning to our lovely cottage and sitting in front of the log fire. My daughter enjoyed playing with the x-box, seenig films on Netflix ( thank you Rachel).., We are happy to share our photos with you of the cottage and surrouding areas. We have stayed in a number of cottages and Wisteria cottage is definately one of my most favourite. I would love to visit in the summer.. I'm optimistic that any time of the year would be amazing. Beautiful bathroom. The bath and shower hose was lovely however, what would make it more outstanding and comfortably is to have a separate walk in shower area elsewhere in the cottage. I Would most deffinately highly recommend to friends and family. You have an amazing beautiful cottage and and we will definitely wish to visit again. Our stay was far too short. Thank you Rachel for being a wonderful attentative host. Good Luck. PCC 28.12.2018
