“A wonderful little place to relax in the countryside.”

We really enjoyed our time here. Very clean and comfortable. Plenty of walks to explore the local area accessible directly from the front door. Bring wellies if you're visiting during wetter months!! Lovely touches left for us on arrival: flowers on the table, a cream tea and prepared for us and excellent bacon and eggs for breakfast. Anna the host was really friendly, helped us with advice for the area and made sure we had everything we needed. The property is linked directly to the hosts ...

The property is linked directly to the hosts own home - this was not a problem at all but important to note if you're looking for total seclusion.

The property is the perfect place for two people to get away from it all, with its peaceful countryside setting, beautiful views, and ample stargazing opportunities.

Inside, you'll find a warm and welcoming living space that provides all the comforts you could want during your stay.

The well-appointed kitchen and appliances will tempt the chef to cook up a storm, and the dining/sitting area is a great place to unwind after a day of exploring.

From here, a double bed beckons after a day of sightseeing, and a bathroom with a shower ensures that you'll feel clean and ready for more adventures.

South Zeal, home to two charming country pubs, and Sticklepath, where the River Taw flows, are just a short drive away and offer a plethora of walking opportunities.

Near the northern border of Dartmoor, the bustling town of Okehampton is a great place to learn about the region's history thanks to attractions like Okehampton Castle and the Museum of Dartmoor Life; the town even has train links to Crediton and Exeter. The National Trust's Finch Foundry is also a popular destination thanks to its beautiful gardens and picnic areas.

Keep going and you'll reach Chagford, a picturesque market town with a choice of shops and eateries.

For those who can bear to spend time away from the charming villages surrounding Exeter, the city itself offers a wealth of activities and sights to see.

The Cathedral is a major draw, as are the city's famous Underground Passages which a one of the only kind in the UK.
