We loved our stay at the Hayloft!

The accommodation is in a beautiful and peaceful location and is very well equipped. Sara and family were excellent hosts, with clear instructions in advance, everything spotlessly clean on arrival and lots of great ideas of activities on the farm and places to visit during our stay. Thank you!

We loved our stay at the hayloft it was perfect!

The setting was beautiful, and the surrounding countryside was amazing. Lovely beaches nearby about 30 min drive away. Could not of asked for more, and homemade cake on arrival was such a nice welcome.

I spent three nights at The Hayloft with my 24-year-old son, and the accommodation was amazing.

It was genuinely one of the nicest places I've ever stayed. Everything was extremely comfortable, and we had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The property was spotless, with a great deal of attention paid to every detail. The location was peaceful and quiet, which we really appreciated. It's a little off the beaten track and not the easiest place to find, but we managed without any issues. We made great use of the hot tub, and it was the perfect place to watch the shooting stars at night. We absolutely loved our stay and can't wait to come back. Highly recommended. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We booked The Hayloft as a family of 4 with 2 young children for my partners 30th birthday.

Sara and Ozgur were excellent hosts. We have a very warm welcome and greeted with local eggs, milk and a cake which was birthday-ed up. They also made sure balloons were put up that I ordered for our arrival. The accommodation was well equipped and extremely clean. The hot tub and views are not to be missed. We would recommend this place to anyone that asked no matter the guests, the accommodation would suit everyone's needs. We would love to come back! Thank you for having us.

Sara & Ozgur were absolutely fantastic hosts, the best ever.

Nothing was too much, they welcomed us in, helped with getting our luggage in, showed us how everything worked. There were some freshly laid eggs, fresh milk from the dairy and some amazing cake (lemon & strawberry, yummy) the Hayloft was immaculately clean, had everything you could need, and more. Sounds too good to be true? Visit for yourself you will NOT be dissatisfied. There is a gorgeous hot tub with fantastic views and so many places nearby to visit, if you can steal yourself away. Everything was just perfect. We will be revisiting as many previous visitors have. Thank you Sara & Ozgur!

We had a wonderful stay at The Hayloft.

From the moment we got there we had a warm welcome. The decor was lovely and the views beautiful. Of course the hot tub was an added bonus which we took advantage of every day. It had all the facilities you needed for a comfortable stay. We would love to stay there again.

On arrival we were assisted with our luggage, Sara had made homemade cakes and provided fresh milk from the local dairy along with eggs from their own chickens which was a nice touch. Hayloft is in a beautiful setting if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and enjoy amazing scenery with plenty of wildlife to watch to keep you occupied. The hot tub was ideally situated so you can admire the Blackdown Hills in the day and at night you can watch the stars finishing off your evening cozying up by the log burner before bed. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and spacious with all the kitchen accessories you could ever need. If you did not want to explore it was ideal just to stay and enjoy the views and accommodation, board games, books, puzzles were supplied. For those wanting to see the area Beer, Sidmouth, Charmouth, Lyme Regis, to name but a few were in reasonable travelling distance if you do not wish to have lengthy car journeys eating up your day. As hosts they were caring and thoughtful my Mom’s mobility isn’t great at the moment, Ozgur brought a chair to the entrance of the top of the field so she could watch the lambs which she thoroughly enjoyed and Sara gave her a big hug before we left wishing her well on a forthcoming operation in a few weeks. Thank you both for a lovely relaxing and memorable stay it was just what we needed.

A lovely remote property.

The owners were friendly and available if needed. A very well equipped cottage with a hot tub. One of the best cottages that we have stayed in.

The Hayloft is absolutely superb!

The views of the hills straight through the main glass front doors is refreshing and constantly changing daily. Sara & Ozgood are what I rate as SUPER HOSTS! They have carefully thought of everything that a family could, want, need in the amenities of the property down to the comfortable bedding, towels and exceptionally well-equipped kitchen to cook your favorite home meals. My Dad and I thoroughly enjoyed our time at The Hayloft and highly recommend this property to anyone who's seeking a quite retreat for making special family memories. And I can't forget the fresh brown eggs that are supplied from Sara & Ozgood's chickens on-site as well as the fresh baked goodies that is waiting for the next guests to arrive :)

Our stay over Christmas at The Hayloft was amazing - like something right out of 'The Holiday'!

Sara and Ozgur had thought of everything and more and were wonderful hosts. The weather was cold, but the house was wonderfully cosy with the underfloor heating and wood burner, plus the lovely hot tub looking over the fields beyond. Sara had decorated a huge, real Christmas tree for us - to the delight of my kids - which made Christmas really magical. It was so peaceful and quiet and we definitely want to return.

We had a wonderful stay at The Hayloft , very friendly helpful hosts and the homemade lemon cake for my Partners birthday was a nice touch and very tasty!

The cottage was immaculate and we had all we could have needed . Hot tub was fantastic, we shall definatley be returning .

The accommodation was lovely and we were greeted with a very warm and helpful welcome with the added bonus of a freshly backed cake and some eggs from their chickens. Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts and we would certainly stay again given the opportunity. Having the hot tub on a clear night with no light pollution is as close to perfect as you can get.

Just perfect!

We had a wonderful time.

Nothing was too much trouble for the property owners Ozgar and Sara. Welcome was lovely. We also had some lovely local produce and a delicious cake “what a treat” Whilst the owners live near the accommodation, they gave us our own space and were not visible unless we contacted them. Hopefully will return in the Spring.

Sara and Ozgur were the perfect hosts, both friendly and easy to get on with and there for anything you needed, but also left you to get on with your holiday.

Ozgur told us about the history of the properties and the amount of work they carried out when they bought them. It’s a credit to them both, we stayed in the Hayloft, which had everything and more you could wish for, it was extremely comfortable and the views were to die for , and so peaceful, the first night we were there , there was a clear sky and with no light pollution we had never seen so many stars it was a wonderful sight. It is also great for exploring that part of the country, with Lyme Regis and Sidmouth being only 1/2hr away, but also much more to see and do, or just stay there and enjoy the local area, there’s a pub just 1/2mile away which is easily walkable and can recommend for either just a drink or a meal if you fancy a change from cooking. You also have the added bonus of the hot tub if you been out walking or just chilling and enjoy the fantastic views. On arrival we had cake, milk and eggs from their chickens which was a lovely touch, also a personalised welcome card which just shows how Sara and Ozgur go above and beyond to make you welcome. We would definitely recommend this place to all our friends and family without hesitation and would love to go back one day.

The cottage was beautiful and lovely and clean.

The views are pretty and it's so peaceful. The owners could not have been more welcoming. We took my elderly mother with us who is quite infirm and they went out of their way to make her comfortable.

Sara and Ozgur were incredible hosts – so welcoming and thoughtful, even baking us a cake and providing fresh milk and eggs from their chickens. The location is absolutely beautiful – peaceful countryside views, a perfect hot tub, and just a short walk to the local pub. The Hayloft itself was spotless, with comfy beds and a fully equipped kitchen. Our girls loved visiting the chickens and watching the cows in the field – such a fun and relaxing escape. A brilliant base to explore Devon and Dorset, or just unwind and enjoy the surroundings. Highly recommended!

Great place to stay and the hosts were really helpful and welcoming.

There is loads to do in the local area although the facilities and place are excellent to just relax, especially with the hot tub.

We spent a week at the Hayloft and we couldn't have chosen a better place for our holiday.

The Hayloft is spacious and very nicely decorated and furnished and has everything needed for a relaxing holiday. The views are lovely, especially from the hot tub! The owners were friendly and helpful, on hand whenever needed, whilst maintaining our privacy. The location is very picturesque, with walks from the door and close enough to visit towns and the coastal resorts. Being able to walk to an excellent local pub within a mile was a bonus. We'd love to return to the Hayloft.

So peaceful with beautiful countryside right outside the door.You have everything you need in this lovely home,be it summer or winter.The hot tub was much appreciated after a day out visiting Devon’s beautiful coastline.

A really wonderful holiday cottage in the most beautiful setting!

We were staying for a family holiday to explore the Jurassic coast and I would highly recommended the Hayloft to anyone wanting to explore this area. The quality of the accommodation is excellent and so beautifully decorated with quality finishings. Hosts incredibly warm and welcoming, and the Hayloft really did have everything we needed - including a cool bag for a day trip out. Amazing! Only thing we’d change is the mezzanine bedroom bed is only a double (which it does state in listing!) but for anyone over 6ft a double just isn’t big enough.

What a breathtakingly stunning place to stay. Sara and Ozgar were super hosts, incredibly welcoming, helpful and friendly. The property was immaculate and had everything we needed for our stay. It was such a nice touch to arrive to fresh eggs from their hens, some milk from the local dairy farm and even some home baked treats! We thoroughly enjoyed watching the scenery in the hot tub and cosying up by the log burner on one of the cooler day. We also enjoyed learning about the sheer work that has gone into the properties and it really shows! I would highly recommend this place! We will definitely be returning.

I booked The Hayloft for mother's day weekend.

The hosts, Sara and Ozgur, were very friendly, met us on site, showed us where everything was and made us feel very welcome. The property was spotless inside and out and very comfortable. We were able to settle in straight away. The property has everything you'd need for a stay, dishwasher tablets etc. Everything was thought of. The facilities are immaculate and luxurious including the hot tub which was very nice in the evenings under the stars. Lovely and quiet with stunning views over the fields and farmland. Would recommend to anyone looking for a perfect break.

Our stay was idyllic!

As soon as we turned into the drive all our stresses melted away. Sara met us with a wonderful welcome, and ensured we had everything we needed. She had also made us some freshly baked Apple Cake (wow - it was delicious!) - you will definitely break the diet for it! The Hayloft had it all - warm and cosy with an easy to use log burners, a pristinely clean hot tub and a view across the hills to die for.♥ Bed was ultra comfy, and oh so quiet - we slept like logs. Short walk to the village pub - which was brilliant (food / service the lot) If Carlsberg made weekends for a couple to retreat and de-stress, it would be a stay at the Hayloft!

Everything was perfect and the owners were excellent throughout our stay. The hot tub must have been the cleanest we have ever used and checked daily. We would definitely stay at this cottage again and it is set in the most idyllic location.

Fantastic location, beautifully quiet.

Absolute first rate hosts who bent over backwards to ensure our stay was perfect. The cottage was luxurious, very well equipped and maintained. The Christmas tree was a lovely, thoughtful and much appreciated touch. Hot tub was at a gorgeous temperature and we enjoyed star gazing as there's no light pollution. We didn't switch on the TV, the log burner was enough entertainment. A truly magical stay. Thank you.

The property and views are wow!

What a perfect way to spend a couples break.

We had the most peaceful week in the Hayloft. What wonderful views from the hot tub, by day or by night. Comfort and luxury combined in this beautiful Grade II listed building. The fresh eggs from the chickens were the best I've ever tasted. Freshly baked cake on arrival was a welcoming touch too. Thank you so much. You must stay here, but please not we want to return!

Wonderful welcoming hosts, the views are stunning and the cottage has everything you could possibly need.

Arriving to cake and some eggs from their chickens was fantastic and I enjoyed a morning hello from the chickens whilst we were there. Couldn't fault anything, sitting in the hot tub in the evening to look at the stars was amazing. We'd go back for sure.

Ideal location for a quiet restful break with lovely views and birdsong.

Accommodation was spotless, very comfortable and very well equipped. Plenty to see and do in the area for all ages and interests. Hosts very helpful if needed and quick to respond to any phone query. Before we arrived we got a friendly welcoming phone call, to answer any questions and to advise us on things included i.e. jacuzzi towels.

What an absolutely lovely minibreak we had in Stockland at The Hayloft.

Sara and Ozgur could not have been more welcoming both before and at our arrival as well as during and even after our stay too. The homemade yummies and drinks were such a fabulous treat as were the eggs and milk from local farms. The Hayloft has been renovated to a high standard but in keeping with it's traditional style too. The hot tub was a particular hit of ours and our children (10&6) but the views...they were my absolute favourite bit. Peaceful tranquility looking out across the beautiful garden and beyond across the AONB - morning, noon and night. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your wonderful property, we have shared the word of this gem with friends and family and hope, ourselves, to return too. WE ALL LOVED IT

We had a really wonderful stay at the Hayloft cottage.

It was spotlessly clean, and has been recently renovated, so everthing felt modern and new, whilst keeping the feel of the original rustic barn. The view from the cottage is beautiful, looking over the rolling hills across the valley - such a great outlook whilst sitting in the hot-tub (which was always hot and clean!). There's loads of good walks and rides in the area, as well as some good village pubs nearby. The owners are so lovely, they really went the extra mile to make us at home, even leaving some sweet treats for the kids, and helping me out with a car issue I had. I highly recommend this cottage.

Sara the host is so welcoming and has thoughtfully provided all you could need for a relaxing break. Nothing better having explored some of the local area than to come back to a chilled evening watching the sunset from the hot tub. I would certainly recommend the Hayloft.

The only bad thing about staying at The Hayloft is that you have to leave.

We have just had the most wonderful 9 nights staying in this beautiful place and it simply wasn't enough. We arrived to a very warm welcome from the hosts, Sara and Ozgur who were exceptionally helpful throughout our stay and so friendly. Huge scones with jam and cream were waiting for us in the kitchen along with fresh milk from the farm shop. We settled in immediately into the cottage which is absolutely stunning, furnished to a high standard and so comfortable and homely. The hot tub was an absolute joy with views to die for. I took books to read but actually didn't read any because i couldn't stop gazing at the countryside. Like I said at the start, the only disappointment was having to leave, but we have returned home feeling rejuvenated and so thankful that we found this place. We will definitely be going back.
