“A wonderful place to stay, with beautiful views across the bay.
Everything has been so carefully thought out and there are some lovely thoughtful gestures, such as flowers, milk and biscuits.
Although the weather was not good, we enjoyed our stay. We kept warm with the central heating and log burner, and enjoyed watching the ever changing views across the bay. The bed was extremely comfortable and we had some of the best sleep for some time.
The kitchen and bathroom are really well equipped and there is also a washer/dryer.
We enjoyed delicious meals at The Laughing Monk and at Venus Cafe on Blackpool Sands. The local store kept us up to date with information on transport, as the snow had closed some of the access roads. We also bought groceries from there too.
Husband enjoyed walks every day, sometimes across to Torcross and Slapton. Everyone is so friendly and helpful, and he really appreciated the lift he was offered by a couple at the Farm Shop near Torcross.
Would definitely consider stayin again.”

“We arrived late at night and the views in the moonlight were stunning and after many years you actually see the Stars just spectacular just like were in a planetarium , and in the Morning after a good night sleep were taken back and overwhelmed by the spectacular views which we just could not comprehend and could not take our eyes away from .
The Coach house , was so comfortable and all the furnishings were to a very high standard we would highly recommend to stay not just for the views but the lovely little villages and shops lined up upon the way so friendly and helpful , we loved Dartmouth and the boat trip to Greenway the home to Agatha Christie , just stunning we loved Devon and I could write all day long of our time and places we visited in our Stay at the Coach House and Beautiful Devon”

“We really enjoyed our holiday in Coach House Cottage. The garden was enchanting. We had our breakfast there everyday. The house was clean but there were quite a lot spiders but they were harmless. Everything was nicely decorated. Over the bridleway we reached the beach in 20 Minuten where the Lime Coffee is. Great coffee and cake.”

“It's a lovely cottage in a beautiful location and we enjoyed our stay there - though it isn't really convenient for shopping for groceries as the nearest supermarket is some miles away in Totnes or Kingsbridge; nor is it particularly suited as a centre for touring the area generally due to the distance to major roads. The facilities were good, though one practical suggestion would be to provide a better fridge (one with a freezing compartment and more shelves would have been helpful given the journey required to a supermarket for groceries).”

“We enjoyed a wonderful and relaxing week in Coach House Cottage. The property is beautifully furnished and equipped and very comfortable and cosy. So much attention to detail and the provision of flowers, biscuits and milk was a welcome surprise. We arrived on a lovelyl sunny afternoon but by Sunday evening the snow and gales cut off access for a few of days. However the cottage is so cosy it was not a problem, we loved sitting and looking out over the sea and listening to the waves. Enjoyed walks along the beaches at Strete Gate and Blackpool Sands, and also walks across to Slapton and Torcross. Everyone is so friendly. The local shop was useful for emergency supplies and,we really enjoyed the food and the friendliness of the staff at Venus Cafe at Blackpool Sands, and at The Laughing Monk. A beautiful property in a stunning part of the country and we will definitely consider returning. Many thanks to everyone at Helpful Holidays.”
