  • “We had a lovely holiday at Chilvery Farm and it was perfect.”

The house is so nice I could live there forever and the access to the field and lake were a huge bonus, especially with a dog. I took him down there every morning for a run around before we went off for the day. The bedroom was great with lovely views across the fields and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was good with a lovely long bath so being quite short I could practically lie down in it! I took him down there every morning for a run around before we went off for the day. The bedroom was great with lovely views across the fields and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was good with a lovely long bath so being quite short I could practically lie down in it! The kitchen was perfect, and I even sat in the conservatory for a few hours in spite of it being November! The pictures were lovely too, especially the horses on the landing. I love the idea of having the photobook depicting every stage of the transformation from barn to comfortable cottage, it made the place feel very sepcial seeing how it has been so lovingly renovated. On the slightly negative side there were a lot of cobwebs under furniture and in all the nooks and crannies in the living room and downstairs loo. I understand that it is an old cottage but I noticed that some previous occupants had said the same but the cobwebs are still there. The only other thing was that we did not get any logs which I have just read should have been included in the rent. We did manage to buy our own so it wasn't a problem but worth mentioning. We would definitely go back as the positives far outweigh the very small negatives.
