Lower Walreddon Barn

When booking our stay we was looking for peace and quiet.

This place was exactly that. From beautiful open spaces, with everything you'd need during your stay. Beautiful surroundings, we seen wild deers, rabbits, frogs the lot. We took our dogs with us, they're well behaved so the open fencing wasn't an issue. The hot tub took a while to heat but managed to get a routine of sticking two logs in early morning ready for the evening soak. Kitchen is fully stocked with everything you can think of. We arrived to lots of treats and snacks, fresh milk and juice. Johnathan was on it when ever help needed. Supermarkets are just off the first roundabout near location. You don't have to go far for anything you need. This is our first UK holiday we didn't want to end. Thank you for the tranquility. Highly recommend it's worth every penny.

We had a lovely stay, enjoyed by all 7 of us.

We used all the facilities including the hot tub. However we did stop heating it as the weather was so hot we used it cooled. The only issue perhaps is that the cutlery was exactly for 8 people. We have family in the area so when they visited us we had to take it turns to use forks etc. otherwise plenty of plates and cooking equipment. And so close to getting onto the moors. Would love to have an excuse make another visit. Thank you.

We enjoyed a 7 night stay at Lower Walreddon Barn.

First impressions were amazing, the barn was clean and well equipped with everything we needed. Very warm and cozy on the colder evenings and the wood fired hot tub was a lovely touch - it did take us more than 2 hours to heat but this didn’t stop us from enjoying it once it was warm! Jonathon was only a message away and provided any answers to queries during our stay. Lots of outdoor space and lovely walks for the dogs, right from the door step. One small area for improvement could have been a slightly more secure garden, it is not fully enclosed due to large gaps in the wooden fencing, but again this didn’t stop us from having a wonderful stay. We would highly recommend and hope to visit again in the future - thank you.

This is a superb holiday rental.

First time we’ve rented from Sykes and we were very impressed. Everything about the booking, pre stay information and check in process was very well organised. The house itself exceeded our expectations. It is incredibly well appointed and everything is of the highest quality (excellent beds, linen, towels, showers, kitchen and cooking utensils). The layout of 2 doubles with 2 twin rooms in the middle suited our party perfectly. Excellent walking direct from the door and even more at a short distance. Coastal beaches also accessible. We didn’t get around to using the wood fired hot tub but it’s a lovely addition. Absolutely recommend Lower Walreddon Barn.

The property and the space is lovely, we felt at home as soon as we arrived!

Lovely walks to the moors straight from the door and ending the day in the hot tub was an added bonus. One thing to note is that although the garden is enclosed with fencing the gaps I between the rails are quite large so small and large dog can still pass through it. This didn’t affect our stay, just a note for future booking.

Lovely restored 19th-century farm, superbly equipped. Amazingly beautiful countryside and super conveniently located. Very much looking forward to coming back.
