Barwood View
Description
Sitting in a prominent position within the South Devon coastline is Barwood View, a delightful duplex apartment resting over the first and second floor, part of an imposing period property dating back to the 1850s, offering a gorgeous resting spot for a small family to explore Torquay's vibrant seaside and attractions.
Set within a cute pebbled courtyard, you're welcomed by an initial set of stairs up to the first floor where you can kick off your shoes and get ready for an evening of relaxation and fun.
The first floor hosts an amply-equipped kitchen, a compact space fitted with an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge and extra freezer, perfect for showing off your culinary skills during your stay.
Step through the property and find a stunning living/dining room, an open space complimented by neutral décor, bright windows and access to your own private balcony where you can enjoy the far-reaching sea views with your morning coffee.
Meals can be enjoyed on the social wooden dining table before settling in for a cosy night in front of the TV with a blanket on the sofa, or relish in each other's company and spend the night chatting away with drinks in hand.
Also on this floor is a sleek bathroom with the choice of a bubble bath or a brisk rinse in the overhead shower, whilst a king-size bedroom rests behind, offering crisp décor and ample storage.
The rest of the guests can venture up the steep stairwell to the final room, a snug spot boasting 2 single beds.
Take a stroll into the vibrant centre of Torquay, a popular seaside resort in the heart of South Devon, boasting a wealth of shops and supermarkets for you to browse for goods and pick up any essentials, as well as a range of traditional pubs, delicious restaurants, and exciting bars.
Make sure to visit some of Torquay's must-see attractions including Torquay Marina, the Victoria Parade and Torquay Museum, as well as amazing opportunities for watersports on the sea, from sailing, surfing, kayaking, paddle-boarding and windsurfing!
Pack your beach bag and spend a relaxing day at one of the glorious sandy beaches nearby which overlook the awe-inspiring English Riviera, taking your pick from Torre Abbey Sands, Meadfoot Beach, Hollicombe Beach, and Paignton Beach, each with their own distinct golden seafronts, traditional cuisines, ice-cream parlours and amusement facilities.
Hike up your walking boots and begin your journey on the extraordinary South West Coast Path by foot, pedal or car, stretching over 630 miles to memorable locations at Kents Cavern Prehistoric Caves, Splashdown Quaywest waterpark, Paignton Zoo Environmental Park, Dartmouth Steam Railway and River Boat Company, or explore even more outdoor adventure at the incredible Dartmoor National Park further afield.

What guests are saying
Dean and Tracey are a lovely couple who pulled out all the stops for our short notice of arrival.
Made us feel very welcome, nothing was too much trouble . They ensured our stay was a happy one . We Would happily return and strongly recommend it to others
Barwood view was extremely clean and comfortable with everything needed a real home from home.
It was perfectly positioned within walking distance for seeing all that Torquay had to offer and minutes walk of lovely restaurants and a supermarket with everything you could possibly need. To travel further afield there were several ferries a day from the harbour, we didn’t use the car once. Dean & Tracey being the perfect friendly hosts giving plenty of knowledge of the area and just a text away if needed while staying quietly in the background. Will definitely return again.
Lovely well kept property with lovely views from the small balcony.
Plenty on nice local walks. Nice restaurants with in 15 mins walk.
