Seagulls Nest

Perfect.

Views and location, superb. Simple but fantastically practical with the outhouse with washing machine and outdoor tap/hose for sandy wetsuits and toes. Kitchen facilities excellent. Excellent angled sun parasol for shade, multiple seats in both sun and shade, and those incomparable views from everywhere. We didn't spend much time indoors but the sofas were comfy, there is a great size indoor table for meals or family games. Our kids loved the toasted sandwich maker for instant hot food after a long swim. And if course, possibly one of the best beaches in the UK, which is never busy. I would book again in a heartbeat - there were simply no negatives!

This was a great location - set high on a cliff with a (steep but manageable) walk to a fabulous and quiet beach (not in school holidays).

There is a very nice cafe within a couple of minutes walk that sits on the coast path. Accommodation was perfect for 2-4 people - and it was overlooking the sea. Would definitely recommend.

Had a great holiday at seagull's nest during a heatwave.

The cabin and beach are both fantastic. It is a beautiful location. Access to the beach is via some fairly steep steps and paths - this is good in a way as it meant the beach was never overcrowded. We had great fun on the bodyboards that were left in the shed. Canoeing on the river Tamar about half an hour's drive away was also a really good day out. Highly recommend.

Wonderful property whatever the weather!

A lovely, lovely cabin with everything you could possibly need, except for a lift system to the beach.

This is the 3rd time we have stayed at the property and we are never disappointed.

It is the best equipped holiday accommodation we have come across. The views are breathtaking.

The property was incredibly well equipped and in such a beautiful place with wonderful views across the bay. We had a great time with lots to do locally, and even when we had bad weather, it was really lovely just being in the cottage with its stunning views. The owners were really helpful, checking in, pre arrival to support us. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Loved the cottage, brilliant location nesting in the cliff.

Nicely set out rooms with fun seaside decor, an ideal spot for relaxing with a book or a puzzle. Well equipped kitchen, lovely garden, fantastic aspect and ever changing view. We appreciated the thoughtfulness of the hosts. Coffee and food in the nearby cafe is amazingly good, great before or after one of the many interesting walks up and down the cliff, or a cycle around the headland or to the formal gardens and ferries across the bay to Plymouth.

The steps are not for the faint-hearted but the beach below was absolutely worth the walk. We will definitely be back!

You don't notice anything from the neighbours. We had a wonderful time there and would love to come back.

The house was spotless, beautifully maintained, and tastefully decorated. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming — we felt right at home from the moment we arrived. The views were absolutely stunning, especially the sunsets, which were truly unforgettable. Everything was perfect, and we would love to come back again!

Seagull’s Nest is very clean, very comfortable and fully equipped with plenty of homely, themed touches.

Whitsand Bay is a place of mindfulness and the beaches are some of the very best in Cornwall. You need to be prepared for the walk down and back but truly worth it.

Superb location.

Great views, secluded and peaceful. Access to excellent sandy beaches via a fairly steep path. The property itself is ideal. Well equipped, very comfortable, very clean and well maintained. We had a great time and wish we could have stayed longer.

A lovely property with the most amazing view.

We had a fabulous stay and didn't want to leave.

The cottage is situated on a cliff side with a spectacular view of Whitsand Bay and the surrounding area.

The cottage is cosy and beautifully decorated with all the facilities you could wish for. However, access to the property could be a challenge for people who are less firm on their legs, as the paths are quite steep and uneven in places. Also handrails only cover the last part of the set of steps.

Breath taking views, lovely, quiet and peaceful environment.

Beautiful accommodation and amazing hosts that make you feel more than welcomed. The seagulls nest is an absolute hidden gem. With the chance to see dolphins while eating your breakfast looking over the beautiful cove, then star gazing at night spotting shooting stars in the less polluted country sky. An amazing experience to be had! If you make it down to the beach below again you will be taken back by the sparkling blue sea and beautiful sand that stretches around the cove.

We absolutely loved our stay at Seagulls Nest.

A fantastic chalet in the most incredible peaceful location. The chalet was clean and very comfortable with everything we needed. The views were outstanding and the steep walk to the most spectacular beach (EVER!) is 100% worth it. We would love to come back one day.

Fabulous chalet in amazing location overlooking the sea.

Very comfortable with everything thought of and provided for. Come prepared with your luggage in easily transportable bags, which makes the walk to the chalet much easier. Access to beach down steep steps but worth it, good for surfing, with lifeguards along the bay. Don't expect much of Eddyson's cafe on the beach but the Cliff Top cafe is well worth a visit for breakfast and lunch! Cawsands is a more sheltered beach and better for swimming and paddleboarding, and the best place to take a ferry to Plymouth.

Less accessible than we thought and could do with a sign to show you where the cottage is.

Folder needs updating as there is no longer a citroen saxo. Biggest issue was that there was no washing machine although the property is advertised with one.

Steve and Paula and family have been accommodating even when the washer broke they did our laundry and were apologetic.

We would stay again! The beds were very comfortable. The living area was the best we’ve experienced having stayed at many different chalets on the cliff over the last 6 years. Thank you.

A wonderful property

Great place to stay,instructions to the chalet bit confusing,not a good idea to stay if you have any knee ailments,if your fully fit and ok with carrying your luggage down and up fairly steep cliff,I would recommend 100% otherwise.

The views are fantastic and the peace and quiet amazing.

We have stayed at Seagull’s Nest a few times now and it has always been an absolute delight.

A comfortable, cosy cabin on the cliff! With all amenities to help the stay go smoothly. It is now our ‘go to’ place for an absolute stress free break.

The accommodation was it ok but I would say the interior looked a little dated and smaller than what the pictures show, the access to the property probably could of been described better as it is difficult to get to with suitcases etc, having said these had a lovely stay and these were the only minor points…

This is a beautiful property, designed to make the most of the stunning views.

Once you have understood you don't get a spot like this without a bit of a walk .

...you realise that every step was worth it. The view is amazing, in all weathers. Location is good although you do need a car to travel easily. Cosy cottage , really good for two with all the cooking utensils you require Ideal get away for peace, tranquility and the beauty of the Cornish coastline.

It was a welcomed break from the fast paced life we lead in London. It was an ideal location/chalet to chill out and relax

Seagull's nest is a hidden gem on the cliff top.

The property is well looked after and is furnished to a high standard. It has everything you need; the shortcut to the beach was particularly handy, as were the body boards in the shed (we used these instead of ours because they were better than the ones we brought with us!). The washer was also a welcome treat. One thing we noticed was that there have been some improvements to the property which aren't shown on the pictures (such as the steel hand rail) and it would be worthwhile perhaps updating these on the website. The other thing that would be helpful is directions from the cliff path as we went past the chalet a couple of times before we found it. No complaints, we would definitely recommend! Thanks for a great week.

This is our second visit to Seagull’s Nest and our holiday was so relaxing.

The location is picture perfect and we were once again loathe to leave at the end of our lovely week.

This was my second stay at Seagull’s Nest and we loved it just as much in the Winter as we did in the Summer.

We had Storm Eunice to contend with and even in that weather the chalet felt comfortable and secure. The chalet feels private and has the best view.

Lovely little property, nicely tucked away and with all the comforts of a home away from home.

The views were stunning and the sunsets. Can highly recommend this little bolt hole that is ‘Seagulls Nest’!

We had a fantastic week at Seagulls Nest so much that we tried to book the same week for 2022 while we were actually there but unfortunately the price had increased too much which was disappointing but can thoroughly recommend the chalet.

Perched on top of the cliff, with those magnificent views, Seagulls nest was everything we expected and more.

The view of the sunsets from the window seat is an image i will carry with me for years. Every aspect of a guests needs have been thought through and there isn't anything I could say Steve and Paula haven't thought of in order to make it a comfortable stay. This was my four year old daughters first staycation and she still talks about her walks up and down to the beach from 'Steve's house' :)

The view from the chalet was fantastic.

We enjoyed sunshine and storms and stunning sunsets, all from the comfort of the sofa! It was also wonderful to be able to walk from the door following the coast path to Rame Head and Mount Edgcumbe. It took a few trips to carry all our luggage and food down the cliff path from the parking area, but well worth it to stay in an exiting and memorable location.

Chalet is really well cared for, the kitchen has all the facilities we needed & more.

The view is to die for & even in stormy November weather it was beautiful. We were snuggly warm - didn’t need the electric fire, the heating was great. The access is just as described & we came prepared with wellies and torches. Next time though we’ll cut down on luggage! Hosts gave us lots of advice before we arrived including a storm warning! Great week all round.

I have been to Seagull's Nest many times and would highly recommend it.

Views are amazing, and it is a haven of peace and quiet. My wife organises a trip for me every year with Helpful Holidays/Sykes Cottages as she finds them really helpful and informative. Nothing is ever too much trouble. Next year I am booked into a cottage in Kingsand although I suspect I will also go back to Seagulls Nest later on in the year as well as she knows how much I love that area!! I have nothing but praise for this holiday company and they never disappoint!

Hi seagulls nest was a lovely clean well catered chalet however the access to it was a bit much for my 81 year old mum unfortunately.

Something I did question at time of booking! There are about 30 steps down to the cafe from the road and then a bit of a walk down hill, then across passed some chalets then more steps (some without rails) to the chalet, steps are also quite high. Also there are no signs for it nor is the chalet named, I think you need to stress this in the details. The actual chalet was exceptional well equipped and clean with good use of space.

The views are amazing across the whole area but this property is particularly well set up to enjoy the spectacular sea views.

Very well equipped kitchen that makes full self catering a breeze. Took us a few days to find the clothes line to dry our swimming kit but we spotted it eventually by the side of the house. Thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this week

Although Seagulls Nest is fairly close to the road there are many steps to the beach.

So be prepared to climb over 150 steps back up if you wish to go down to the beach.

Absolutely stunning setting for a perfect escape from the city.

Great walks, great views and plenty of places to visit nearby. The chalet is really well equipped and the owner really friendly and easy to get hold of if needed. A repeat visit in future is almost definitely on the cards!

The chalet was kitted out to an extremely high standard of comfort, cleanliness and luxuriousness.

There was everything and more that you needed. We can’t wait to come back again and this time bring half the stuff we brought as we didn’t need it!

It's the perfect place to go.

Lovely views of the sea, comfortable and relaxing. Plenty of places of interest around.

Well furnished to a high quality, superb ocean view, car parking provided.

Access a bit difficult, a small price to pay for the privacy and views. The local restaurant, The View, was also excellent.

Property is very comfortable.

Not too far from the road. The area itself lends it self to a beautiful coastline and beaches. Should you wish to walk the beaches be prepared for steep paths and steps. But so worth it.

Would definitely holiday in seagulls nest again next year if owners will let us!
