Burrows

Burrows is very well equipped holiday accommodation, with good quality comfortable furnishings.

Obviously a lot of thought applied to what is needed for a stress free stay. The stove is easy to light but I think it would be nice to have some lighters & kindling for the first night as when I arrived after 4pm I didn’t know that I would have to go out to a garden centre to buy some. Perhaps mention that in the description details so people can bring it with them or supply it & charge extra like for the hot tub.

We found everything at 'Burrows' just to our taste.

Good quality furnishings, beautiful bathrooms with comfortable beds. Ideally located for numerous facilities on the east Devon coast. A perfect location.

Burrows is a lovely cottage, beautifully furnished and decorated, providing a comfortable and relaxing stay.

It is very well equipped and the scones on arrival were a nice touch, and very tasty.

We had a delightful stay at Burrows.

The area was soo quiet and tranquil. Great for dog walks, We were a stones throw from Exmouth, Exeter, Sidmouth, Topsham and numerous other picturesque villages eg Limpstone, Woodbury and others with lovely pub eateries. The owners made us feel very welcome and were friendly and helpful. Devon Cream tea on arrival much appreciated. Hot tub great! The cottage barn conversion was very comfortably furnished, clean and tidy and well equipped even down to herbs and spices. This years good weather added to our wonderful experience.

The property was exactly as described.

A lovely welcoming tray of scones, jam and cream. The hot tub was meticulously clean with people coming into the garden to check it twice a day. Great location to explore the area.

Extremely comfortable and peaceful. Cottage had everything you needed. The outside area was perfect for relaxing in.

This cottage is an absolute gem.

Nestled in the beautiful Devonshire countryside it boasts a fantastic, well equipped kitchen/open plan living area. The beds were very comfortable and the garden/decking area was a real added bonus. If you want some peace, tranquility in complete comfort, but close enough to see Devon at its best, this cottage is for you. An easy walk to the village to the pub and park is a plus too. We will return xxx

Lovely cottage, fab hot tub, home away from hom.

We have had a wonderful break away at Burrows.

While there the Owner showed us their other property, ‘Applemill’ - both properties rivalled ones we have stayed in on the Chatsworth estate. A welcome of milk, teabags, coffee and chocolate cake on arrival. High quality towels, china, bedding provided. Plenty of hot water and heating available. We chose not to use the hot tub this time but would next time due to the rigorous maintenance testing schedule by the owners to ensure levels were correct. Dressing gowns provided for hot tub too! Property very comfortable throughout and open plan layout meant we all felt connected and joined in with meal preparation. Quiet location with beautiful views and sunset. Great night sky! Would definitely stay again and would like to stay at Applemill too! Sarah

We had a fab stay for our anniversary Lovely cottage, very clean, kitchen utilities ample, Roads into property very narrow, unfortunately no local shop available nearest pub a drive away.

Description for beautiful bedroom with bath has a shower over no walk in shower as described. Would definitely return for another holiday. Thank you for your hospitality

This was a very comfortable and pleasant holiday property.

Our only real complaint was the lack of outside seating for relaxing, two wooden loungers was not enough for four people which was disappointing when we had the sun. Also the wooden loungers had no cushions (very hard of the bum!!).

This is a very comfortable and well-equipped holiday cottage with spacious rooms, especially the two double bedrooms and their en-suite bathrooms.

It is particularly suited to self-caterers as it has a large oven and a huge fridge-freezer. The owners were very responsive when we had a problem with the internet and came round to replace the router. Venn Ottery is a picturesque small village with an interesting little church - with its own ghost! There are a number of good walks from the door, although some were still rather muddy after the wet Spring.

Everything you need is provided. Very comfortable beds, great hot tub. Lovely location and good area for visiting many places.

Burrows is the most comfortable of the many cottages we have stayed in, everything was well thought out and very good quality.

We loved sitting out on the decking in the sunshine during the afternoon and snuggling up around the log burner in the evening. The property is well located in a beautiful rural location but within easy reach of lovely seaside towns and a couple of National Trust properties. The nearest pub, The Golden Lion had a great menu and we enjoyed a delicious meal there but the cottage kitchen is very well equipped and we mostly ate in.

Excellent holiday property and a real home from home, with everything that you could possibly need.

Great cottage in a fairly easy to find location - Whatthreewords is fantastic and brought us to the door!

The cottage is beautiful with well appointed kitchen and lovely bathrooms. Would be great for an adult only holiday as each bedroom has its own bathroom. Lovely outside space but probably too small for children to run around in if you were not spending time away from the property. Good WiFi and great TV. Wood burner a great extra and made to place warm and cosy. Only negative was the beds which seemed a bit too soft and slightly lumpy. We also had an issue because all the bedding seemed to be feather (admit I didn't check this so my fault) and one of the party is allergic. Lovely place for a holiday with easy access to Exeter and the coast

Cottage is complete with all you could ever need in the kitchen, gloriously comfy lounge and clean comforting bedrooms.

Warm and high quality fittings and equipment. You don't usually get White Company bathware, Bodum caffetieres, Conran cutlery and hugely amusing artwork! Loved it.
