Everything was perfect.

We would love to return in the future.

We really enjoyed staying in Swifts Barn - the owners were very friendly and helpful and the barn was well equipped and homely.

The ensuite bathrooms were much appreciated. The barn is located in an excellent area for exploring the countryside, the river and the sea. It was extremely hot while we were there and we enjoyed sitting outside the barn late lnto the evenings - it's a great base for a holiday

Beautiful barn conversion.

All home comforts and more. Very thoughtfully furnished and equipped. Close to countryside , sea and a good selection of retail outlets and Supermarkets. Will highly reccomend.

Swifts barn was stunning, beautifully decorated and plenty of space for everybody, the grounds were immaculate , would have liked a barbecue but the weather turned a bit, but it didn’t spoil the holiday, Would highly recommend to anyone visiting that part of Devon and will definitely be returning, Thank you Laurie & Russell

The property is a beautifully renovated barn conversion with well equipped and spacious accommodation.

The three bath/shower rooms were spotlessly clean and well designed - there was always plenty of hot water.There is a large off-road car park and a garden for sun bathing/playing with children or having a barbecue. The owners live in an adjacent barn. The local roads are narrow but have plenty of passing places and there is a Lidl a couple of miles away.

We really enjoyed our stay at Swifts Barn - such a beautiful and comfortable property with everything you need to make for a fabulous stay.

the location is perfect with plenty to explore in and around the surrounding villages and River Dart area before even venturing to the coast. Thank you, we will return!

Stunning location, the accommodation was perfect, bright and so spacious my elderly grandad had the downstairs bedroom which had its own ensuite. We will definitely would love to stay here again.

We were very happy with our stay at Swifts Barn.

It is very well situated for attractions at Brixham, Paignton and Torquay as well as places inland. The accommodation was very well equipped, very clean and in very good condition. With two bedrooms upstairs and one downstairs it was ideal for our party of four adults and two children.

It's an amazing barn.

It's spacious, immaculately clean, comfortable and with good facilities. Beautiful location with lovely views Our only minor complaint was that it was quite warm upstairs meaning the windows needed to be open consistently and this meant lots of flies. Although it would be unsightly it might be worth installing some sort of system, particularly during the warm weather, for killing them. Certainly a can of fly spray would be handy! But that's a minor matter and something that can't really be controlled The barn was a delightful location for a holiday and I would highly recommend it. Laurie was very friendly and helpful

We had a fabulous week.

The property was outstanding with lovely personal touches… The lemon drizzle cake was a dream. Lovely peaceful area, great base for the holiday. We won’t think twice about booking again. Just sorry we forgot to complete the visitors book.

Beautiful barn!

We stayed with 5 of us, 1 being elderly and another 1 being limited mobility and it was great for accessibility! It was so clean and modern, and the beds were super comfortable. Laurie was so friendly and welcoming when talking to us about the property. The lemon drizzle cake was a perfect touch! We will definitely be back! Thank you!

We had a great holiday Laurie was there to show us around and left a lovely lot of welcome goodies,the barn was beautifully decorated for Christmas only thing which we hadn't realised was the garden was a little away from the accommodation which was hard with 2 children unless someone went with them,charge for dogs was a little excessive 2yr old jack russell and12 week old jack russell puppy cost £140,great location for visiting torquay,paignton

The property was clean and very comfortable. Kitchen well equipped. Ideally situated for exploring the area.

A really fantastic place to stay, especially for three couples - three double bedrooms (all of which can be converted into twin rooms, if you need it), all en-suite.

Lovely large kitchen/dinner and lounge, with excellent outside seating and beautiful garden area. The owners are great and are on site, so are happy to help with any questions. The location was perfect for us; in quiet countryside, but only 15mins from Paignton and Brixham, with good road links to all the surrounding beautiful places. This really is one of the gems in the Sykes catalogue and we can’t recommend it highly enough

Lovely welcome ,accommodation was fabulous.

Very comfortable beds ,everything you needed away from home. Ideal location to visit lots of places. Host were lovely and the lemon cake left for us was delicious. Would highly recommend these barns.

Swift Barn is spacious, warm, clean and welcoming.

We were met by the owner who took her time showing us around showing us how to control the heating etc. It is also very well equipped for cooking and relaxing. There was a welcome pack waiting for us which we wasn't expecting. This included fresh milk, tea and coffee and a lovely home made cake. There were also little toiletry treats int he bathrooms for us to use if we wanted to. We will definitely be recommending this property to our family and friends.

An absolute outstanding property in a beautiful location not to far away from anything.

Lovely owners who have put so much thought and care into the holiday home with everything you could possibly need. Although they live on the site, they are not at all intrusive but so friendly and welcoming. We had a fantastic week at the barn so much so we have already booked to return next year. Would highly recommend a stay here to anyone. Thank you Laurie and Russell, we can wait to see you again next year

This is a beautiful property, with lovely countryside views peace and quiet.

Very comfortable lounge seating, super comfy beds, lovely and warm, plenty of using utensils loads of hot water and much more too numerous to mention. The owners are super people and very welcoming, the lemon cake was scrumptious. It was also ideal for our little dog. It is a real home from home which we all thoroughly enjoyed.

Swift barn is a beautiful conversion and has been tastefully decorated and furnished.

The owners are very pleasant people who live on site but weren’t intrusive. There are some good restaurants in Dartmouth and Brixham and we would recommend the Rockfish which has restaurants in both towns. We would recommend a stay at this holiday let

Absolutely amazing stay in Swifts Barn.

The photos do not do this place justice. The outdoor areas by the barns are beautiful and the barn itself is stunning with everything you could possibly need, no expense spared. Great location for driving to all the sights around Torbay. I would definitely recommend and would love to make a return trip sometime.

Really enjoyed our weeks stay in Swifts Barn.

The location, accommodation and hospitality was above and beyond any previous holiday let we had stayed in. The only disappointing fact was that the end of our holiday meant we needed to return back to reality. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.

The property was exactly as described online ie immaculate, well designed and very comfortable.

There was plenty of space for the grandchildren to let off steam. The owners Russell and Laurie were on hand if needed, but otherwise kept a very low profile. An exceptional property!

Fabulous cottage lovely spacious accommodation for a family.

Very well equipped for dining and relaxing TV’s in bedrooms. Super king beds are very comfortable . Garden with outdoor sofa’s and dining table. Location of cottage is ideal in the countryside but very close to Brixham and Paignton with all the major supermarkets on your doorstep . All in all everything you could possibly need and would easily sleep 6 comfortably well worth a visit would highly recommend .

Only addition would be accessibility to a hose to wash the dogs down before going inside after muddy walks.

A beautiful property in a lovely setting.

It was spotlessly clean, warm and cosy with very comfortable beds. It had everything we needed including a generous welcome pack. There was a spacious lawned area for our little dog to run around on,, plus walks nearby This is a first class holiday let and we have already booked to go back again next year. CAN'T WAIT.

Roomy enough for six adults, communication from the owners was first class. We would highly recommend Swifts Barn.

We stayed 12 nights over Christmas.

The barn was spacious, clean and well equipped. It was in a good position and easy to get to Brixham, Paignton and Torquay. Nearby there was a good range of supermarkets. The owners were helpful and friendly. We would stay again.

Host Laurie was there to meet and greet and and talk us through the accommodation and had made us a beautiful lemon drizzle cake. Will definitely be going back in the future.

Outstanding in every way.

Beautifully converted barn, excellently located in a quiet village but close to many attractions. Warm, spacious, extremely comfortable equipped with quality kitchen equipment & furnishings. 3 large bedrooms with super king sized beds and each with TV & en-suite Bath or shower room. Lots of storage & wardrobe space. Friendly & accessible hosts & a warm welcome on arrival. The welcome tray of delicious lemon drizzle cake, biscuits, tea, coffee & milk was a very nice touch. A choice of outside areas to relax in warmer weather. We could not fault our stay at Swift Barn in any way and would definitely recommend to friends and family who want to visit the area. We have stayed in many holiday homes through Sykes Cottages and I can honestly say that this is the best so far.

The accommodation was very well equipped, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The little touches of basic provisions and a homemade lemon drizzle cake were fantastic. We will be returning

Swift’s barn was brilliant.

It had everything you might need from a holiday rental and more. We took a 3 year old and there was plenty of space both inside and out for him, as well as stair gates which gave you peace of mind! The barn was lovely and clean and in a good location for all the main attractions (by car). The hosts were lovely as well. Thanks for a great holiday.

The Barn was simply fabulous, modern, spacious and clean.

Everything you need is there. Each bedroom has it's own en suite and very comfortable. Lovely garden and areas to sit. Highly recommend and homemade cake when you arrive , perfect.

The Barn was Beautiful not impressed with Sykes cottages as a company but the owners of the barn are fanatics and the barn is stunning well worth it and we would live to come back.

extremely clean and had everything you could possibly want.home from home.10 out of 10` we will definatly be going again. now about sykes...we have already used them as before covid always had what we wanted and couldnt fault BUT since covid we are less happy!we had 3 breaks booked with them and was looking forward to going but when our main holiday was due first part of july we didnt feel safe and really wanted the chance to delay but couldnt get hold of anyone to rearrange and certainly didnt want to pay final balance when we didnt want to go,and really wanted to defer till 2021.so even after numerous emails had no choice but loose our deposit and cancel.losing alot of money in the process.terrible customer service and even emailed to complain but again no response.extremely dissatified.never will we book with them again! they should of helped us.

Swift Barn, is a beautiful converted barn, in a lovely, peaceful location.

The accommodation is of a very high standard, modern and has all you need for a perfect stay. The owners Laurie & Russell are very welcoming and leave all the essentials you need, even a homemade lemon cake, which was delicious. As a family we had plenty of space and will definitely be booking again for next year.

A lovely property that was spotless and so well looked after .

Superb location.

Excellent accommodation, spacious well-equipped kitchen, comfortable seating area all the bedrooms and bathrooms are furnished to a high-end standard, that actually goes for the whole Barn! You have a warm and welcoming hostess on arrival and the most mouth-watering Lemon Drizzle cake waiting to be demolished! Yum! You are only 3mins from Supermarkets and pubs. We tried a few and they were all friendly with excellent food freshly cooked! You are not far from Brixham, Torquay, Torbay and Agatha Christie's house and gardens are a must! We stayed for 1 week in March 2020. It was just as the Coronavirus was becoming an epidemic. We decided to stay in for a while during our stay, this did not deter us from having a great time, you could not fail to in these superb surroundings. This place must be even more heavenly in the summer/autumn! Yes, I would definitely be back hopefully with my Westie! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay! Wonderful accommodation with everything you could need.

We were a family staying for Christmas. Grandparents could sleep downstairs and the rest of the family upstairs. With it being open plan we could all enjoy Christmas together with children playing with their toys and the rest working in the well equipped kitchen without tripping over each other. Although we were out in the country all the facilities as far as shops were near at hand. There was no DVD player but net-flix was a big hit for the children, but who wants to watch television with so much on your doorsteps.There are numerous National Trust places within 10 miles and beautiful walks along the South Coast path. Dolphins at Berry Head and seals in Brixham harbour. The property offered so much and we were sorry we were only there for a week.

Fabulous place to stay when in Devon, the accommodation is stunning and set in beautiful grounds.

I would highly recommend staying here and we will be going back.

Extremely comfortable and well equipped cottage.

Wonderful to find sufficient crockery and cutlery to fill the dishwasher ! Location was great - not too far down the peninsula with lots of National Trust properties nearby. Also rural but close to civilisation including a Sainsbury’s. Downstairs bedroom with adjacent bathroom was excellent for my elderly mother. Would make a great venue for couples holidaying together as all the rooms are similarly sized large doubles with en-suites. Fantastic quality linen and comfortable beds too. Owners were on site and welcoming with milk and lemon drizzle cake. Available when we needed to contact them.

Swift Barn is a real home for home, and a really comfortable place to stay for your holiday.

Good roomy lounge and kitchen area and the added bonus of a downstairs bedroom and bathroom. We came here with my elderly parents so this layout was very convenient for them. There is quite a narrow lane to get into the grounds themselves, but once here there is a lot to see and do on the doorstep. The lounge has a smart TV which is very convenient for when you get back after a long day out. There is a Beefeater restaurant not far from the premises if you don't want to cook. Bedrooms were all very comfortable, equipped with TV, en suite bathrooms and a good supply of towels. We would highly recommend this property.

Swifts Cottage was immaculate and extremely well equipped.

A very quiet setting with very pleasant and helpful owners, who live on site. Certainly worth another visit.

The location of the barns was perfect to visit all the surrounding places.

The barns themselves and the space outside were outstanding, very clean, luxurious and well equipped. Every detail of what made a comfortable stay had been thought about by the owners who were lovely. We would happily go back in the future or recommend to others.

Immaculate and extremely well furnished and equipped we loved it and will definitely return. The barn conversion has been carried out to a high standard and the rooms are spacious and extremely homely too. The owners were friendly and very helpful. And although they live next door they are not intrusive and leave you to get on with your holiday. Lemon drizzle cake left for us to enjoy with a cuppa on arrival was delicious and a lovely touch. Excellent location too, although in the country surrounded by fields and farm animals in a couple of minutes there are shops and restaurants.

This holiday was excellent from the start to the end.

The accommodation was first class we would highly recommend this property to family and friends. Again Sykes came up trumps with excellent accommodation at a very reasonable price. Looking forward to booking another holiday through Sykes.

We were contacted by the owner at the beginning of the week before we were due to arrive which was a nice touch.

Arrived on the day to find an amazing property that was exactly as described. The owners met us and explained all about the heating and where to find bags to sort rubbish out and explained where we could park, and that if we had any problems we could either phone them or knock on their door. We were left a wonderful lemon drizzle cake, tea coffee and biscuits and milk in the fridge. The owners were very friendly and nothing was to much trouble. The property was very high standards with lovely furniture and bedding. We will visit again if we are down that way.
