Reviews

    • “The holiday home was very welcoming with many goodies and fresh flowers waiting for us. The table tennis was a big hit with the kids. Our only criticism would be that we would normally expect all windows to have curtains, as although the property wasn't really overlooked it seems somewhat exhibitionist not to have either curtains or frosted glass in the upstairs bathroom in particular.”

    Mrs Harris, Sevenoaks, October 2018

    • “The views and welcome from the owner”

Mrs Little, Sutton Coldfield, September 2018

    • “Sykes makes the booking procedure effortless. Even down to the very polite email when I forgot to transfer the balance (Oops! We've all done it at some point”

    Mrs Oliver, Slough, September 2018

    • “Our holiday in Braunton was wonderful; the property was in a great location and felt like home from home with the added bonus of great views and a garden big enough to double up as a football pitch. Not to mention the table tennis. Would thoroughly recommend.”

    Mrs Krelle, Bury, August 2018

    • “Absolutely AMAZING The house was beyond anything we expected, a family of 4 and 2 grandparents, we had ample room. Everywhere was clean and tidy, beds were comfortable and the kitchen had all we needed. Added bonus of freshly baked bread, scones, jam, fruit and milk left for us. The gardens surrounding Charlesworth were beautiful, stunning unspoilt views. The photos only show half of how incredible the home from home is.”

    Mrs Byrom, Poulton-le-Fylde, July 2018

    • “Our stay at Charlesworth was fantastic lovely views , great accommodation, everything we needed. The owner was helpful and also left a lovely welcome pack including cream tea. We couldn’t ask for more and we will certainly return”

    Mrs Mckeown, London, July 2018

    • “A fantastic property whose listing doesn’t really do it justice. Everything has been considered by the owner and we left wanting for nothing. Stunning panoramic views of the estuary, tasteful interiors, lots of space both inside and out and plenty to do and enjoy nearby. We hope to return again in the future.”

    Mrs Miller, Loughborough, March 2018

    • “A beautiful house with stunning views in an idyllic position. The property is well equipped with everything that you could want and more. Comfortable beds and lots of little extras. Arlene made us delicious bread and scones and we had cream tea when we arrived. Shops, pubs and restaurants all close by as well as the most amazing beaches! Fabulous holiday and we will definitely be returning!”

Miss Simmona, Newton Abbot, February 2018

    • “Property was a home from home with lots of lovely touches - gorgeous bed linen, plenty of toilet roll, cling film, lovely soaps, fresh flowers, etc. Fabulous host and stunning location.”

    Mrs Wynn, Taunton, December 2017

    • “The views, gardens and space with Charlesworth are wonderful. The owner gave us a very generous welcome which was a lovely start to the holiday.”

Mrs Brooker, Newcastle Upon Tyne, September 2017

Superb location whether you are looking to relax and unwind from busy lives or love the great expanse of sandy beaches for fun family time together or those surfing lessons you've been meaning to try. A downstairs bedroom means the grandparents can come along too.

Surrounded by the lovely garden area you can easily lose a few hours taking in the views from inside or out. Downstairs there is fully equipped kitchen with utility area, separate dining room, comfortable lounge with large windows making the most of the view. A bedroom, a family shower room and a separate cloakroom. Upstairs there are a further two bedrooms, one with an en-suite bathroom and a shared dressing area. The village of Ashford is situated to make the most of the views, giving a feeling of peace and quiet and countryside air. The sandy beaches of Woolacombe, Saunton and Croyde are all closeby for sun worshipers or water-sport enthusiasts. Walkers and cyclists will love the Tarka Trail with its miles of trail and stunning coastal views or slightly further afield, a picnic on Exmoor National Park is a lovely day out but watch out for those greedy ponies!
