Glenwood

This is our go-to place when we visit North Devon - we just enjoyed our seventh stay!

A cosy, clean and well-equipped flat just two minutes from great bars and holiday shops and five minutes from the incredible beach. We wouldn't stay anywhere else for our Woolacombe getaway.

Ideally situated near to the beach.

Easy to find. Quiet at night. The apartment is stocked with just about everything you might need. Excellent communication with owners. I will be returning.

A lovely top floor apartment with a great view - excellent for those that treat stairs as useful exercise.

Fully equipped with everything that you may need - you will be fine for all weather, whether going out or staying in. Great location near the centre of Woolacombe - ideal for those that want to be on the beach for walking, surfing or just messing about. Easy access to the whole of the North Devon coast, with many excellent hostelrys, cafes, restaurants etc. either in the village itself, or available within just a few miles. Highly recommended.

Excellent choice: Great communication with owners; Decent sea views from lounge and bedroom; Good parking arrangements; nice neighbours; very clean; everything you might hope to find is there; quality of kitchen equipment and crockery etc is very high; nicely furnished.

Having the fridge part of the fridge freezer high up is a big plus. And it's a Liebherr. Nice. Well pleased.

The apartment was delightful with a lovely view of the sea we loved the window seat.

It was spotlessly clean with everything we needed.The maps of the area were very useful for walks in the area.It was a five minute walk to the shops and restaurants and the beautiful sandy Woolacombe beach.With onsite parking and wifi plus a nice welcome gift of wine and biscuits everything was perfect thank you we will be back to see more of the area.

The flat had everything we needed, and more. It was clean and well looked after. The location was perfect, close to local amenities - shops, pubs, food outlets - as well as the beach. The parking space was also really helpful and the views from the lounge and master bedroom were fabulous. Communication with the owners was straightforward. We recommend a visit!

Comfortable clean apartment , very well equipped.

Wall mounted fans were very much appreciated in this heat wave ! Short walk to the beautiful sandy beach and local shops/cafes. Location was absolutely beautiful , with lovely walks around the area.

Had a lovely time in Woolacombe as we have not been before we didn’t know what to expect.

The apartment is lovely with everything you need and it is very well maintained and decorated very tasteful with beautiful views of the beach and some absolutely stunning sunsets.We walked all along the perimeter of Woolacombe and Mortehoe and had some fabulous food in the beach hut, book in advance as the Sunday carvery is very popular.Lovely cream teas in the tea room at Mortehoe and great food in the Ship Aground pub in Mortehoe.Sarah and John left us some treats and the neighbours were lovely and asked if we needed any help with anything but it’s just lovely and very near to everything that’s available within a very short walk.

Everything you need is in the property and it is so close to the beach.

We’ve had a lovely holiday staying at Glenwood in Woolacombe.

Excellent communication between ourselves and the owners, prompt replies to questions and very helpful. It’s got everything you need and is very tastefully thought out with all the little extras included for a great self catering apartment. Spotlessly clean, lovely furnishings, quality furniture., There’s even deckchairs, windbreak, body boards, toys for the beach and wellingtons and walking sticks. Special touches such as toiletries, cleaning products and suncream . The only negative is that it’s on a road going down into the centre so it’s an uphill walk back up. Plus its a second floor flat so there’s quite a few stairs. So it may be a problem for those with mobility issues or pushchairs as there’s no lift.

This was one of the nicest well equipped apartments we have stayed in.

As long as you don't mind the outside metal steps and few internal stairs the property is very well equipped clean and comfortable with very helpful owners.

First visit to glenwood found the property to be very clean and welcoming with all the things needed for a nice holiday.

The apartment is very clean, has all the home comforts and is perfectly located only a short walk from the great beach and Woolacombe’s shops and eateries. The owners are really helpful ensuring everything runs smoothly prior to the stay and the neighbours are very friendly. All round a great choice for a family holiday. This was our third stay at Glenwood and we will return!

The apartment is in a excellent location on beach road, close to all the amenities.

There is off road parking for one car. The beach is a short walk downhill. As you enter the hall hand saniterser has been provided. The apartment is lovely, really well equipped clean and tidy. A real home from home . The living room has gorgeous views of Woolacombe bay and the sea. An ideal place to watch the sun go down. There is good Wi-Fi, lots of dvd's ,cd's books and a selection of games to use. The bedrooms are spacious with super comfy beds. The main bedroom has a king size bed. There is plenty of storage space for your things / clothes and plenty of coat hangers. Also wall fans for the warmer nights. The bathroom is good with an over bath shower that is very powerful. Plenty of cleaning products to use too. Bath towels are provided. The kitchen is superbly equipped! ( never seen one as Good! ) with good quality items .There's a dishwasher so no washing up yay! A washing machine too. A hand towel , tea towels, dish cloth are provided and washing up liquid too. The shops, bars , pubs and takeaways are right on your doorstep with plenty to choose from. The vast stretch of beach is fantastic. Lovely and clean .Ideal for family ,friends or couples alike. There are a few surfboard ,bodyboard wetsuit hire shops near the beach. All in all you couldn't wish for a nicer base for your Devon holiday.

Glenwood is a really comfortable and well appointed apartment in a great location, only a very short walk to the heart of Woolacombe village and the beach.

We had a really enjoyable week and have already booked to return next year!

The holiday apartment felt just like home, there was everything you need and more.

It was the little things like a collection of books and Dvds, even toys for the children to keep them entertained on a rainy evening. So much thought and care has been put in. Very clean and homely. We hope to return again soon.

Glenwood is a lovely apartment, so well equipped and cosy and comfortable.

We have had a fantastic week there, using it as a base to walk a stretch of the SWCP. It was great to come back to Glenwood after a day hiking, and sit on the window seat and look at the awesome view of the beach and Baggy Point. So close to all amenities and the beach, which was perfect for our tired legs! Neighbours helpful and friendly too. I would be very happy to stay here again!

The flat was very well presented with good quality facilities.

It's perfectly located for a family beach holiday or exploring North Devon. The apartment was exceptionally clean (which always makes me so happy and sets the right mood for the rest of the holiday from the start), we loved the décor and the paintings and the wide window sill in the sitting equipped for looking out at the sea - it is a huge bonus, especially if the weather is not kind. The kitchen was very modern and perfectly equipped with all you need to cook - just like at home if not better. The notice board in the kitchen with all the information about best places to eat and other handy tips about local shops and places was very useful, as well as a special book for guests to leave their notes on good local eateries. The apartment has lots of DVDs, CDs and games in case it's rainy and maps and books/brochures with information to explore the area. I would definitely recommend this apartment to even the pickiest of my friends. A huge thanks!

This year was our second visit to Woolacombe and luckily managed to book Glenwood again, Glenwood is clean and well set out and has beautiful sea views and absolutely nothing has been left out for visitors comfort the kitchen is fully fitted with all the tools needed for a stay at home meal or a short walk to pubs and cafe`s, the apartment has very friendly neighbours and contact with the owners is always friendly and informative.

We had never been to Woolacombe and found it to be a most relaxing place to go.

The apartment was unbelievable everything needed was there. Very clean all through and lovely and spacious, just can't praise the accommodation enough. Beautiful views, could not stop looking out of the window. (Hope the neighbours didn't think us nosey!!] If you are fit enough there are some lovely walks and views. Everything is just breathtaking. Would certainly go back to this lovely area. And of course we had the most amazing weather. All round brilliant holiday. Would certainly recommend Sykes.It was so easy to book this holiday the contact from them was excellent. Also the owners of the apartment Sarah and John for allowing there lovely apartment for people to enjoy.

We had a fantastic time in Woolacombe, the property was very clean, well-equipped and in a great location (the beach is literally a couple of minutes walk away). The owners were extremely organized and quick to respond to our queries. We’d definitely look to book the apartment if we visited Woolacombe again.
