We had a great time at Mill Barn.

The information about the property was accurate, the accommodation facilities were perfect and the location was good for getting to Salcombe and the surrounding beaches and countryside. We feel the property would benefit from having EV charging facilities.

The owner, Emily , was extremely helpful .

Will book again next year.

Three generations of our extended family stayed at Mill Barn to celebrate my 60th birthday.

What a fabulous week! The accommodation was excellent. A very well equipped kitchen, large dining table that comfortably seated all of us and a spacious living area. The games room was an added bonus, with table tennis, darts and a pool table. On a couple of sunny days we cooked on the large gas bbq and ate outside, again plenty of furniture and space to do this. Definitely recommend Mill Barn for a large family celebration.

The Mill Barn was absolutely fabulous- it was great for the grandchildren who aged from 18 months to 17 years old and a dog.

They had everything you could ask for and very well stocked with utensils, saucepans and plates. The place was clean and well kept. Please thank the owners for helping to make our holiday great.

What a wonderful property for a large family group.

Spacious and well equipped. Lots of seating and a huge table with many chairs. The orchard was perfect for our Easter egg hunt and the and the playbarn was well used .. Table tennis darts etc. It was warm and welcoming, we enjoyed our stay very much.

A lovely, multigenerational stay at Mill Barn.

Hosts were really helpful. A perfect base for holidaying in South Devon.

The house was stunning and more than enough room for us all.

The house was well equipped with items needed (cooking utensils etc). The house owners were easy to contact, quick to reply and kept in contact if needed. May be worth mentioning on the listing that the games room is slightly away from the house and not on the same grounds as the house. Would 100% recommend and would def stay again. The owners very kindly put a tree up as we stayed over Christmas period. Thank you for a wonderful and memorable stay!

We booked Mill Barn for my mother-in-law’s 60th birthday, with 11 of us in total, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better location.

Mill Barn is absolutely stunning and has everything you could possibly need — including a fantastic off-site games room set in the beautiful apple orchard. The owner kindly let us pick some apples, and we made a delicious crumble with them! The location is ideal — close to Torquay and Plymouth, with Salcombe just down the road. All the rooms are beautifully decorated, and the main entertaining area upstairs is spacious, perfect for dining and playing board games, which became our nightly tradition. We would highly recommend Mill Barn to anyone looking for a memorable getaway with family or friends.

This is a really lovely property in a peaceful and beautiful location.

Absolutely amazing place to stay.

..there were 3 generations of us at mill barn...plenty for the young ones to do..playroom and games room ..the children loved it.. 2 kitchens ..everything in them..bedrooms and bathrooms immaculate..there were 14 of us and plenty of space to eat and relax..would definitely highly recommend..and the property owners were.so friendly..would definitely like to go again.

Had the best family birthday celebration I could of wished for in the most beautiful holiday house , the pictures don’t do it justice , lovely and clean , loads of room for my 6 grandchildren to run around , the games room was brilliant too to keep everyone entertained

The whole experience at Millbarn was wonderful. When we first arrived we noticed how clean each and every room was. All the facilities you need for a fantastic family get together. The orchard was a massive bonus for our little ones to play in. They loved seeing and hearing the pheasants in the surrounding area. The lovely owners were on hand for any advice on areas to explore. We all loved it so much we’ve booked again. We’ve all made truly amazing memories. Thank you.

Excellent as usual Being ‘picky’, it would have been useful to have some ‘essentials’ supplied - foil and cling film - and some of the frying pans need replacing Also only ‘issue’ - far right downstairs bedroom : very bad sewer smell

Beautiful barn.

Well laid out. Excellent accommodation. Games room was well used even in middle of winter. Emily the owner was very accommodating. Most helpful.

We loved our week at Mill Barn.

From our first view of the very elegant safety lighting on the stairs to exploring the Games Barn and Orchard, our experience was excellent. We loved the clean lines and spacious accommodation. It is beautiful; such a high standard of workmanship on this barn conversion. There was plenty of storage in the kitchen and every bedroom. There is even a drinks fridge! The instructions were comprehensive on everything from the heating to the parking, thank you. We appreciated the two upstairs dishwashers, very useful. The downstairs kitchen/utility must be so handy in the summer. On our first evening we had an issue with a tap which was fixed very promptly after phoning the owners. They also fitted stair gates when asked. Each family brought their favourite games and DVDs - there were a few games & jigsaws provided. We can thoroughly recommend Mill Barn for a multi generation holiday. There were tears from the youngest members of the family when we had to leave. We all had a magical holiday.

Mill Barn was a fantastic choice for a large family get away!

Location and access: Beautiful views and lovely quiet countryside, easily accessible as just a short single lane from the main road to salcombe. only 5 minutes to the sea! Facilities: Everything a large group needs for a holiday. multiple bedrooms with great bathrooms, a very large kitchen with all utilitys and utensils and secondary kitchen downstairs. A huge dining table and large open living room. The addition of a games room was great with skittles, darts, pool and ping pong. If you are planning a large gathering this is definitely worth booking

A lovely week at Mill Barn with family and the dog.

The barn was really lovely and so spacious. Kitchen was great and had all the facilities you need and some! Huge table where we could all eat together. Lovely added touch having stair gates, high chair and cot for our grand-daughter. Bedrooms all with lovely clean linen and plenty of towels on arrive. Upstairs bedroom with en-suite bathroom with bath was amazing and very relaxing. Plenty of folders with information about where to visit, also puzzles and games. The orchard was fantastic for the dog to run freely in and the barn with snooker, table tennis and darts was definitely a hit with everyone. Lots of fun and laughter. Plenty of parking too. Mill barn is so close to places to visit and we enjoyed our walks and exploring Devon. This truly is a beautiful well equipped barn in the most perfect surroundings. I would highly recommend a visit. We will definitely be back. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay x

Beautiful property with excellent facilities and more than enough crockery, pots and pans etc… everything was to a very high standard.

The only complaint we’d have would be that the WiFi didn’t reach all the bedrooms - only reliable in the main living area and no signal for using our own phone data. It was really useful to have the boot room for shoes and coats and plenty of bathrooms with there being a lot of us and including small children! Stair gates, cot and high chair were all helpful to have included and the property was suitable for babies and young children . There were lovely beaches within a 15 minute drive at Hope Cove and South Milton Sands but be prepared for very narrow country lanes! Thank you for a lovely stay.

Mill Barn was everything you could wish for, beautiful property, the decor was very tasteful and homely, a stunning barn.

Kitchen had everything you need and more, very well stocked, the owners have thought of everything you need to complete a wonderful stay, and are very welcoming. Location great, stunning beaches. We will be back.

The internet was very slow considering the number of people.

In addition we needed to relog every morning. I appreciate this may not be possible.

... Perfect for our large 3 generation family and dogs. So well lequipped.. Had everything you could ever need. Lovely linen and towels, really well presented too. Quite probably the best place we have ever stayed. Really amazing property. Glad we have booked for another year too.

A lovely property which a family of three generations enjoyed .

The games barn was fantastic especially when the weather conditions were poor. Beds were very comfortable, the kitchen well equipped and everywhere was spotlessly clean. We had an issue with one of the dishwashers during our stay which was dealt with promptly by the owners.

We had a fantastic stay at mill barn, there was 8 adults and 6 children and plenty of room for all of us.

The children had lots of things to do to keep them happy, they loved the games barn. The bedrooms were spacious clean and comfortable and the kitchens had everything you needed. It's in a lovely peaceful location with lots of places to visit which are not to far away and 2 big supermarkets within an 8 minute drive. I would highly recommend staying at mill barn.

Excellent facilities in a well maintained property.

The children particularly enjoyed the air hockey machine and the additional games room in the orchard is a hidden bonus. The kitchen is very well kitted out and the two separate dishwashers were very useful for our large group. Would definitely recommend Mill Barn.

Mill Barn was absolutely perfect for our big family gathering.

The owners were extremely accommodating and helpful. The barn is equipped to an excellent standard and felt really spacious even though there was 12 of us. All of the bathrooms were to a high standard and it was brilliant to have so many so them. The weather was lovely and we went out a lot but the only small thing to note for the listing was that the TV has basic Sky but did not have other streaming services and had we known, we would have bought our own fire stick. We are back at Mill Barn later in the year!

A fantastic property for our family group of 13 .

The accommodation was spacious, very comfortable, clean and had everything we needed . The kitchen was well equipped The barn was lovely and warm when we arrived ( we also used the wood burner ) We all enjoyed the games barn. The barn is located in a beautiful area and I would certainly stay again and recommend for large family groups.

We booked accommodation for Xmas week and it met our expectations.

There was plenty of room in a spacious lounge and kitchen area. The bedrooms were comfortable and some had en suite faculities. Perhaps the provision of a "Welcome Pack" of basic provisions would have been helpful, as the supermarkets are a little distance away. The games room is well equipped, but a short walk outside of the property. Overall, this is a lovely place for a large family group.

Fantastic accommodation in a lovely location.

Superbly equipped and very comfortable. We were a 3 generation family of 12 and this suited everyone - the young ones games of hide-and-seek lasted ages and the play barn was a very useful addition for all.

We had a wonderful anniversary family get together at Mill Barn.

It was everything we hoped it would be and more. A tastefully decorated property in a lovely setting in a beautiful part of the world. All ages were thoughtfully catered for and the accommodation and facilities were first class. Very spacious rooms and a lovely safe garden. The owners were very accommodating and friendly. We were really sad to leave.

Mill Bank is an outstanding property.

Lovely and clean, full to the brim with cooking utensils etc. A real home from home. It is a huge property and served our family well. Close to beaches and other small towns and amenities. We had a wonderful relaxing week away. The owners are very accommodating if you need them.

An absolutely fantastic property for family gatherings.

We appreciated the quick response to our queries. Outstanding kitchen facilities with two sinks, two bins and two dishwashers which made life so much easier plus an additional kitchen facility downstairs enabling our furry friends to be catered for separately. The only disappointment was poor Wi-Fi coverage, especially the downstairs bedrooms.

We could not of been more impressed with this property.

The owners were there if needed but not invasive at all. The area is beautiful and everything seemed 10 minutes away! The games room is an added bonus. All the bedrooms were spacious. Absolutely everything you need was in the property and fully stocked with crockery, utensils etc. Would highly recommend ocean view restaurant, and a trip to south Milton sands, a dog off lead friendly beach and then a visit to the beach shack at the top of the beach for lunch. All in all nothing could have been improved apart from maybe the weather at times!!

The location was quiet and peaceful yet still close enough to Salcombe. The accommodation was spacious, clean and tidy and has everything you need and the games room was used everyday. The owners were all very friendly and helpful couldn't ask for more in a holiday property. Would definitely recommend and welcome the opportunity to stay again.

Mill Barn at Woolston was perfect for our party of 12.

The house is very well equipped and had everything we required. It is light and spacious, warm and with plenty of hot water. The rooms were comfortable, clean and had plenty of towels. The owners were charming, welcoming and very helpful and very kindly rigged a double bed in the Games Room in lieu of the bunk beds (not suitable for our age group). Mill Barn is well situated for the towns of Kingsbridge and Salcombe, and there are masses of walks to choose from within a short drive. Altogether, Mill Barn is a lovely property and we would strongly recommend it. We will come back again.

Mill Barn was beautiful!

The layout was perfect with lots of options to suit families or just adults. The kitchen had everything you need and more. The owners were nearby and very helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend and hopefully return one day.

A fabulous holiday in.

a wonderful property. The barn provided everything we needed for a family of 14.

Great place for a family gathering, cleanliness was brilliant, baby stair gate, cot available.

Pet friendly in most of the barn but not allowed in bedrooms, we ended up not taking pets which was the best idea. No tv signal in the bedrooms which the other adults and children moaned about. We did have large tv in lounge which had sky tv. The barn play room was a great addition, ideal that we had brilliant weather to walk to it. A few extra bits like a few toiletries and some coffee pods for the machine would have been welcomed. The hoover smelt quite bad from dog. Such a lovely peaceful place to stay we really enjoyed the space and us all being able to get together as we are quite a large family. We did get an hour later to check out as 9am is very early to get 5 children ready and out the door. Would definitely book again.

I would definitely recommend a stay at Mill Barn!

The premise is very clean and well maintained, there was a small problem with the hot water but the owner quickly responded and resolved it. Luxury all the way at this beautiful home, large kitchen with everything you could ask for. Underfloor heating, large comfortable bedrooms, I had an en-suite with a lovely deep bath and large shower cubicle. The grandchildren really enjoyed the games room and park (A short walk of 50 meters) in the beautiful orchard area.(Darts, skittles, table tennis, pool table) Ideally located for the Kingsbridge, Salcombe, Hope Cove areas.

It was a lovely place and was very well stocked with kitchen equipment.

Would definitely recommend

We are a family group of 10 and Mill Barn was perfect, everything we wanted! The owners of Mill Barn live close by , very friendly, and helpful and have thought of everything to make the holiday experience very enjoyable!

We stayed here as a big family and really enjoyed our stay there was plenty of room for everyone the beds were comfortable, great facilities available we loved it its such a lovely house my only one request would be a little table and chairs on the balcony to enjoy a coffee on in the morning.

Mill barn was amazing, only down side is you have to drive, there is no shops or pub within 2 miles.

The family were lovely ! Beautiful building ! Games doom not as expected but overall a wonderful stay !! The booking team however extremely disappointed! Lots of mistakes when booking, rude staff ! Took a number of phone calls over a number of months to sort out problems ! With no call backs as promised ! Very stressful experience!! Would not book through skyescottages again !!

The host was a lovely lady who you felt was there if you needed anything plus we had Sykes cottages as back up.

Excellent Barn, comfortable and large beds.

The shed with table-tennis, pool, darts and table foot ball was great too. Only down side is that you can't easily walk to a pub.

Fabulous holiday home that's accurately described and imaged on website.

Exceptionally clean and furnished to a high standard. Kitchen is very well stocked with ample crockery, utensils and appliances - a real home from home. Owner was welcoming and helpful without ever being intrusive. The area is typical for Devon and Cornwall with many very narrow lanes and roads so not for the faint hearted driver at times! Fully recommend the property.

Mill Barn was both very comfortable and well equipped.

The beaches were close at hand and we particularly enjoyed North Sands and Bigbury on Sea. We were a family party of 12 (3 generations) and the 6 children loved the house with plenty of places to play ‘Hide and Seek’. The games barn was a success for both the children and their parents and the enclosed garden was a good place for the dog to sit in the sun. We can confidently recommend this excellent holiday accommodation for a large group.

A top notch holiday destination for a large group.

Brilliantly laid out and equipped. The additional "Games Barn" a brilliant asset. Owner/Manager very helpful and offering advice on where to go and what to see. A great experience all round. Very very strongly recommended.

Extremely spacious and well appointed large property.

2 dishwashers upstairs in large kitchen an 1 on ground floor in small kitchen, ideal for when we had a barbecue in garden or large meal upstairs.very well equipped in terms of kitchen equipment. Lovely and clean, made us of private play barn and orchard that was just for our use. Plenty of parking. Beautiful location would recommend visiting hope cove and the beach and north sands and east portlemouth ( accessed by short ferry ride) almost had beaches to ourselves. Enjoyed the walks to Gara Rock and bolt head. So many lovely places to eat. If large group of you are going would recommend a Tesco or Waitrose delivery of all your essentials on first day of holiday. Would love to return at next milestone birthday or anniversary in family. We were 11 people age ranging from 18 months to 80yrs and 2 dogs.

A beautifully presented holiday home, in a superb area, which was just as described.

It was great to have bedrooms which were all of a similarly high standard and spaced well to ensure the privacy of the separate groups. It was particularly good to have the games barn, which we used on several occasions.

What you see is what you get re this property.

The photos are true. An excellent place to stay. Our experience: Follow the instructions to the property that are sent to you with the booking as it will avoid you taking some very narrow lanes. Great parking at the property. Loading and unloading outside the property is easy. The property is immaculate and the owners are on hand to help and advise should you need it. The family are very friendly and live next door. The provision of kitchenware and ovenware is first class. It's so easy to cook indoors and host guests, also the barn layout upstairs works really well for big groups. Three dishwashers and 2 kitchens in the property work well; all the bathrooms are first class. It is warm in the property even without the log burner. Bedrooms downstairs are quiet to sleep in. We didn't get much use out of the games room as it's across the road, but I imagine with small children playing in the field across the road and dogs if you have them, it would be a good place to go particularly in summer. To be honest we couldn't fault this property. Pre book taxis if you need them and restaurants too. Read the information book in the property for ideas of places to go. Take good supplies of food and drink with you and you will have a great time. Date of Stay: February 2019

This property although a little isolated is wonderful.

Fully equipped , clean and warm. Plenty of HOT water. As Family of 11 with ages ranging from 18 months up to almost 80 nothing was overlooked. Thank you Sykes and also the owner of Mill Far.

We booked Mill Barn for our annual Christmas weekend with our friends.

It really exceeded everyone's expectations and we couldn't have been happier with our choice. The main kitchen and living room area was absolutely amazing and the bedrooms were beautiful. We couldn't have asked for anywhere better really - and on top of that the owner Emily was really helpful, accommodating and even welcomed us with a bottle of Prosecco. 5 Star property!

The accommodation and facilities were excellent.

Comfortably accommodated 14 people. The games room and barn for the children were particularly helpful in keeping kids occupied and happy, whilst the large TV, stereo sound and Sky Sports entertained the adults. The underfloor heating was very effective in keeping the spacious main living area warm. Well fitted out to a high standard. Everyone commented on how comfortable the mattresses/bedding were. Great location in the countryside, yet close to Salcombe, with some lovely walks along the nearby beaches and coastline. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

This is the best large holiday home I have stayed in, and I have stayed in quite a few.

The barn itself is clean, spacious and extremely well equipped with good quality kitchen equipment to make the self catering just like cooking at home. 8 adults plus a toddler and 2 dogs stayed and there was plenty of space to share times together as well as separate areas to relax. The bedrooms were all large and plenty of toilets so no arguing. Owners were really friendly. Would certainly recommend.

Mill Barn was the best accommodation we have ever stayed at, so spacious, a wonderful place for a family & friends to stay, entertain & party.

Set in the beautiful Devon countryside & only a few miles from Salcombe & many other beaches close by. The owners who live in the farm house next door were such lovely people & very helpful throughout our week stay, we shall definitely return.
