    “The house was lovely, clean and well equipped.”

    I did find that one of the double beds had an extremely hard mattress which meant I had to use the single bed which was much more comfortable. That said, our dog and us enjoyed our stay.

This newly renovated, spacious property sits on a country lane in Aller, just a few miles from Langport.

Presented to an excellent standard with exceptional views across the Somerset levels, in an elevated position, Celia’s View makes a great base for families looking to escape normality.

The open-plan living space is well-equipped for a short break, offering an electric fire and arrangement of seating, along with a TV for movie nights.

The designated chef can take over the kitchen, offering a host of integrated appliances, including a washing machine so you don’t have to pack your entire wardrobe.

After preparing a delicious meal, settle down at the dining table and toast to a long-awaited break with your nearest and dearest.

Step outside to the garden, complete with plenty of seating so you can enjoy a drink in the evening.

Whisk away to the first floor, home to two doubles and a single, both neutrally presented and hosting ample storage space.

Awaken from a leisurely slumber and freshen up in the bathroom, complete with bath and shower over, so you can best decide how to prepare for the day.

When you’re ready to explore, Walkers and cyclists will have found their haven with a plethora of scenic country trails just moments away; keen twitchers can also visit the wildlife-rich RSPB Ham Wall to catch a glimpse of the resident starlings.

Just a short walk away is a great pub, offering a variety of meals with Sunday roasts and live music, whilst the bustling town of Langport is nearby and is home to a variety of lovely architecture and many wonderful eateries, including the welcoming Black Swan and The Rose & Crown Inn, cafes, restaurants, and takeaways, as well as well-stocked shops where you can pick up fresh produce and antiquities.

Why not head to Glastonbury, renowned for its music festival and remarkable abbey remains, along with the Somerset Rural Life Museum, a wealth of shops and the imposing Glastonbury Tor with its landmark 15th century tower.

Enjoy a day out at the seaside and watch the tide come in, Brean Beach is a dog friendly beach just 25 minutes away.

Or try your luck at paddle boarding locally at Langport.

We recommend a lovely day out in Somerton with art shops and homemade scones in the market square opposite the Buttercross.

At the back of the house is a large hill, at the top is "Aller & Beer Wood Nature Reserve" with a vast array of wildlife to see with fantastic views over the over the levels of the house.

Many stately homes are within a 20 mile radius.

However you choose to spend your time, a break at Celia’s View is sure to bring fond memories.

The ancient market town of Langport lies at the heart of the Somerset levels, at the crossing point of the River Parrett, mid-way between the county town of Taunton and Yeovil. Its central location makes it a thriving hub for local villages and an ideal base to explore the surrounding area, as well as the Somerset Levels, one of England’s most unchanged Landscapes. The ancient beauty and diverse wildlife of the area makes it one of the landscapes that have inspired many artists and photographers as well as drawing visitors from all over the world. The surrounding countryside teeming with pretty villages and quiet country lanes with footpaths and cycle trails to explore the picturesque Somerset Levels. Somerset is rich in wildlife and is one of the country’s top areas for birdwatching. It also offers a heritage railway, where visitors can take a trip on longest standard gauge line in the country. This is an excellent touring base for the area, with the stunning town of Glastonbury just over ten miles away, noted for its famous music festival, it also benefits from an array of superb amenities and displays a stunning abbey, Clarkes Shopping Village at Street, Wells Cathedral, Wookey Hole and Cheddar Gorge all within an easy drive. If a day at the beach is what you're after, the seaside town of Burnham-on-Sea is easily reachable and offers a range of amenities as well as its wonderful sandy beach. Avid walkers can make the most of the nearby Mendip Hills AONB and features magnificent walking and cycling country. Travelling slightly further afield; to the south you'll find many places of interest; the beautiful fishing port of West Bay, the Jurassic Coast with Lyme Regis and the artisan town of Bridport with its markets and music venues or the historic cities of Bath and Wells.
