The property

This charming, single-storey, detached, former stone barn is tucked away in an idyllic, peaceful and rural Somerset location on the edge of the pretty small village of South Brewham.

Believed to date back to the early 1800s, this lovely cottage stands in the grounds of the owner's impressive working farm and farmhouse.

Now imaginatively converted to create a delightful holiday cottage, offering quality furnishings and equipped with everything you could possibly need for a delightful holiday, this cottage provides visitors with an extremely comfortable and rural base from which to explore this lovely area.

Following from a busy day exploring, there's nothing more pleasant than experiencing a comfortable night's sleep in the spacious super king-size bedroom.

The light sitting room lets the sun flood in but when the evening chill descends, you can cosy up in front of the excellent, easy to use, warming, flame-effect Yeoman Stove gas fire.

The well-equipped kitchen provides a great place to prepare your own delicious snacks or, if you fancy a treat, why not venture out to one of the two nearby pubs which both serve great food and real ales?

After your day out, enjoy relaxing in the enclosed, lawned garden.

Being in a rural location, a car is essential to make the most of your stay here, in fact you're spoilt for choice when it comes to interesting days out.

There are the National Trust's Stourhead House and Gardens nearby, or take a stroll up to King Alfred's Tower.

Longleat Safari Park and Adventure Park is just a short drive away, or guests can take in a trip to the Fleet Air Arm Museum at Yeovilton and the famous Haynes Motor Museum.

For a bit of retail therapy, venture out to the Clarks Village Outlet Shopping, or be amazed by all things mystical in ancient Glastonbury.

Afterwards you can relax in the peace and quiet of this idyllic rural retreat, a really super Somerset holiday base.
