Puddleducks is a quaint barn conversion nestled in the village of Charlton Horethorne, which is within easy reach of the beautiful market town of Sherborne.

This heart-warming retreat is ideal for a couple or a small family seeking to explore an area boasting a majestic countryside, a wealth of historical landmarks, Jurassic coastline and plentiful activities to suit a group of all ages and tastes.

Puddleducks enjoys a refreshing interior, carefully selected furnishings and everything you could possibly need to enjoy a relaxing break.

Upon entering the all-ground-floor accommodation you are welcomed into the spacious hallway with all rooms leading off.

There is a well-equipped galley kitchen, which is certain to entice any budding chefs, and in here you will find all the quality amenities required to cater all of your delicious meals, which can be enjoyed within the spacious sitting/dining room.

The contemporary styling of the property is continued into this space, where after an action-packed afternoon, you can look forward to curling up on the plush sofas where the patio doors filter in natural light into the space to create a tranquil setting to relax into your evening.

The property is completed by two bedrooms, consisting of a king-size double and a single bedroom, which benefits from a truckle bed for any additional guests.

Venture into the town of Sherborne where you will find a superb selection of tempting pubs, restaurants and bistros to suit all tastes, in addition to a vast array specialist shops and Cheap Street’s open market which runs on a Thursday and Saturday.

Attractions within the town include the 8th century Abbey, a grand 16th century castle and the ruins of the old castle to explore.

Alternatively, head to the Cranborne Chase AONB, where you will find further attractions including Larmer Tree Gardens, the Old Wardour Castle and if you are visiting with any younger guests the Bush Farm Bison Centre is close by, where you will be delighted to find 30 acres of lakes and oak woodlands to explore.

Probably best known for its beautiful abbey and two stunning castles, one of which is relatively “new”, only dating back to 1594 and boasting superbly landscaped gardens, Sherborne makes an ideal place for a day of sightseeing or a quiet afternoon stroll. A short drive will take you to the stunning house and gardens at Stourhead and the sublime Dorset Heritage Coast, whilst just across the border in Somerset is the Fleet Air Arm Museum at Yeovilton, offering stunning displays of historic aircraft, including Concorde. A fantastic location for all the family.
