    “We booked the stay for a surprise 60th birthday weekend with the family.”

    The setting was perfect to shut off from the outside world and spend quality time together. There was some confusion, as I messaged the booking team to confirm if we needed to bring our own towels after reading other reviews, and they confirmed we didn’t, but when we arrived there were no towels allocated. The homeowners were able to provide some, but I will state that this isn’t included in the rental for future guests. Sadly, due to weather conditions, we couldn’t partake in any country ...

We dined at a lovely country pub, The Rose and Thistle, for Mother’s Day lunch, which was delicious. We would stay again.
