I stay in a lot of cottages and Peace Cottage stands out as one of the best I have been in.
It is wonderfully well equipped, showing that thought has been put into it. The hosts, Mark and Cath were friendly and helpful. The cottage is simply beautiful with lots of space. Many board games provided and really comfortable furnishings. I hope to come and stay again.
Generally everything was fine.
The stairs are steep with 2 right angled bends. They were difficult to climb carrying anything and would benefit from a handrail at the top. The shower was like an ice rink and needed a nonslip mat inside. Finally the cottage was about 2 feet lower than the drive and it was unsafe to reverse out of parking without assistance. If a marker pole was erected the driver would then be able to reverse safely without the danger of plunging over the edge.
We had an absolutely lovely time at Peace Cottage, it was a great base for days out and to relax as a family in the evening.
It had lovely little touches on arrival such as bread, eggs, tea/coffee, milk and orange juice which was a lovely surprise. WiFi could be a bit hit and miss at times. I would note that the bed pillows are very hard and lumpy so might be worth taking own pillows, but overall it’s a fantastic cottage.
