Lovely break at the mill,so peaceful and relaxing.

Loved to hear the stream,the running water was so soothing and chilled you out as soon as you heard it.The chickens were great entertainment when we sat in the garden.Beds were so comfy,best i've slept in on holiday. So close to Watchet,Minehead and Taunton all lovely places to visit.Local village Williton has everything you need to stock up on grocery. Thank you so much to Gary,Jackie and Nancy for allowing us to stay at their lovely home,we will return. Lee & Michelle

We had a wonderful time at The Mill - the layout and original features of the mill make it such a charming place to stay!

Jackie and her family made us feel really welcome at their farm and we had everything we needed. Brilliant access to the Quantock Hills and even when the weather is bad, it's a lovely place to spend the day!

The Mill is quaint, quirky and certainly not run of the mill.

Summertime let great but this is winter. Very cosy but there isn’t a shower, the owner lent us an over bath shower but it needed two to keep it on the taps. Plenty of hot water for the big bath though. Beds comfortable and the whole house keeps warm not sure about through winter though. Certainly not the house for townies, but it serves its purpose.

A superb quirky cottage on this lovely farm with lambs and chickens running loose.

We loved it! Things to note: parking is across the lane in the farmyard, although you can bring the car to the cottage to load and unload; the 'garden' is not enclosed and is open to the farmyard and pond/stream so bear this in mind if bringing children/pets; there is no shower at this property but there was a lovely freestanding slipper bath and plenty of hot water; there are no books/games as mentioned so be sure to bring your own. Lovely hosts who left tea coffee milk and biscuits - a very welcome touch after a long drive.

The most beautiful place ever. Fantastic constant sound bath of flowing water and the sound of nature. Wonderful owners and animals. A perfect chill so healing. And the chickens are so amusing.we wouldn't go anywhere else

Handily situated for visiting different areas in this part of Somerset.

A little isolated which we enjoyed. Comfortable if a little basic but we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay.

We have just returned home after spending a perfect week in this little gem the mill.

The most amazing place we have ever stayed.

Atmospheric spotless comfortable and peaceful. The Mill healed our mind bodies and soul the constant sound of the water was so soothing. The owners animals and those naughty ladies the hens made our stay special

This is an amazing property in a stunning location let down by worn fixtures and fittings, old bedding, frayed towels, ancient kitchen utensils and dusty hanging cobwebs

The Mill was a lovely rustic and quirky property to stay in.

It was brilliant for a dog as all the floors were wooden and having a stable door meant we could keep the upper half open without worrying about the dog getting out . I loved the sound of running water outside my bedroom. The chickens and cats (especially Badger the cat) were friendly and it was great to be able to buy some eggs. Gary and Jackie were helpful and happy to talk about the farm. Lovely to walk around.

Unusual former mill cottage on a working farm, original features retained.

Lovely setting, hosts were very friendly and helpful. Property clean and well maintained, would definitely recommend.

This is a lovely, charcterful property and the owners are helpful and friendly.

It is probably at its best in late Spring and Summer when doors and windows can be open. It was really nice to have the workings of the mill incorporated in the design. This is a beautiful area for exploring Somerset.

Can't recommend this perfect get away from it all highly enough a quirky, enchanting mill house.

The owners are friendly ,and discreet. Were grateful for the grocery essentials left for us tea, coffee, milk salt etc. Our dog loved the woodland walk and swim in the stream. Great place to explore the area,not far from steam train station.

we had a lovely stay The owners were really friendly and helpful,had lovely countryside all round ,nice walks for the pet,the property was quirky total out there, the little back door out to the garden by the stream was great specialy at night lit up remind me of a hobbitts property but after the 3rd time of hitting my head I got the hang of it lol ,not far from Minehead but found some lovely beachesclose by,really dog friendly so that was helpful for our dog,

The Mill is a delightful and quaint cottage that provides a perfect and peaceful holiday.

Set in the grounds of a working farm with chickens roaming freely and located in a quiet country lane surrounded by pleasant countryside. The only noise to be heard is the occasional steam train that runs close to the large grounds of the farm The property has been tastefully converted from a mill and still retains many original features. Inside the property the stream that used to power the mill provides a gentle relaxing sound as it runs close by. The Mill provides comfortable accommodation with a large kitchen and a quirky dining room with loads of character. There is plenty of outside space for sitting and relaxing within a most relaxing environment.

We had a wonderful stay.

I recommend walking around the woods.

A really lovely place to stay ,more comfortable than previous reviews led me to believe!

Spotlessly clean :I am wary of booking places that welcome dogs but could not fault the cleanliness here. The private garden and benches were fabulous and the washing machine and tumble dryer -just next door in an outbuilding -were an unexpected bonus . Loads of hot water ,excellent toilet flush ,heating if wanted ,bathroom great . Signage from main road a bit tricky ,just an estate agents Red Deer I think sign . Would happily book again .

Peaceful, clean, quiet. Everything one might need for a relaxing holiday. The farm is so beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return.

Basic accommodation but perfectly as described (it's a working farm).

Exceptionally friendly and accommodating hosts and amazing surrounding countryside. Our young children were made to feel really welcome and were given full access to the farmland for some great adventures. Perfect location to explore North Somerset/Devon coast.

The Mill was just as described, very simple, clean, tidy and although basic had all we need.

The situation is great for touring north Somerset and Devon and not bad for further trips into Cornwall. The mill stream going past the cottage is delightful. The host and hostess were wonderful, very helpful. We had a great 11 days.

This is a fabulous historic building, sympathetically converted into a holiday let with all the modern comforts you will need.

The farm is beautiful and the owners were fantastic- especially as they were in the middle of lambing. The area is stunning and the steam railway is a brilliant trip that can be accessed by a short walk from the door- we will be back, thank you

Beautiful surroundings and lovely, friendly people.

Converted mill was interesting and comfortable with friendly chickens and cats wandering around outside. Clear skies gave a good view of the stars normally masked by light pollution. We had a very enjoyable stay.

Facilities are basic but comfortable. It would not suit anyone who likes things to be pristine nor anyone who is tall- very low doors ! Great for a quiet escape into the country side.

Beautiful setting and a lovely warm comfortable cottage

Great location, characterful cottage with everything you need and friendly, helpful owners.

The Mill could do with a little investment - thicker mattress on the double bed and fitted sheets, a knife sharpener and one decent kitchen knife, getting all the lights working, ideally a shower as well as or instead of a bath. All in all it was good though and would definitely go back here if holidaying in the area.

Everything was very basic.

Couldn’t sleep in upstairs bedroom because of the noise of torrent of water thundering past window. Had to sleep downstairs in uncomfortable beds with sheets that didn’t fit bed and it was cold. Equipment basic ,broken handle on cupboard door. Oven not clean cooker needed replacing. Bathroom only one step above none existing, it was dreadful. Whole place needed a good clean to get rid of all the cobwebs. Presume Sykes haven’t actually inspected this place as it was well below anything we have stayed in previously.

It’s was a great week to stay at the Mill.

Sunny weather and the lambs still in their pen so we got to help feed them. I love the little back door of the house that leads to the garden next to the stream, where there’s a nice picnic table. We had a very relaxing time- falling asleep at the end of each day to the sound of the stream beside the house

Beautiful cottage in an idyllic setting.

The children loved the farm animals, particularly the lambs. The owners were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend.

We loved the week we spent at The Mill at Meadowsweet Farm.

It is a beautifully converted former cider mill with a stream running alongside which lulls one to sleep at night. The rooms are simply and tastefully furnished and the setting within the farm, with the lovely old farmhouse across the yard, works well. It is very quiet. My daughters and I plus dog had a great time both at the cottage and exploring the vicinity. It's a perfect location for walking on the Quantacks - which are quite stunning. We very much hope to return to this cottage and this beautiful corner of Somerset.

The place was really lovely and nicely looked after, the people there where friendly and kind and incredibly accommodating.

The area was really nice and couldn't have asked for a better place to escape the busy work of a city.

Cute quirky house. Kids had such a great time, playing in the stream, making friends with the chickens. Farmer so friendly. Few little bits to feedback to owners, double mattress super thin and uncomfy, I ended up sleeping on kids single bed, bathroom lock doesn't work, spatula has no handle, and cupboard with glasses has no handle. The listing mentioned games books and dvds, but none there, (although we did leave a jigsaw behind!) Also lots of cobwebs, and dust in corners, it could do with a spring clean! But overall lovely. Thank you.

The peace and quiet the wonderful setting a well equipped cottage with a warm friendly welcome from the owners and the chickens.

We enjoyed everything.

The accommodation was fantastic and quirky. The weather was amazing. We would recommend a visit to Dunster Castle.

The cottage was nice,but could do with updating, which could be hard as it is listed.

However the kitchen was basic and the seating area could do with some new furniture, as what was there was old and uncomfortable, same with the beds. The garden was not enclosed at all which ment we could not let the dog out alone and maybe updated garden furniture to. The WiFi kept dropping in and out ,and the phone signal was bad (but it was nice to be off grid at times) . All that being said it was a nice retreat to get away from it all. The couple who own the property are friendly and made us feel welcome. Some good local pups where you can take your dog ie The Bicnoller arms and The Blue Ball.

Friendly host. It was great for our dogs which was the main aim. Nice and relaxed for them. Lovely space to walk nearby and nice longer walks locally. Would really recommend if travelling with dogs. Also a very lovely garden with lots of space to sit out. Very very peaceful. The sound of the water running in the stream outside was lovely to send you to sleep at night.

We really enjoyed staying at the mill.

It was very quirky. It was so peaceful and we loved the little garden space by the pond and listening to the water rushing down the mill race. The mill workings that were left in place were really interesting especially as we went to the water mill at Dunster and the lady explained how the mill would have worked. The location is perfect for exploring the beautiful country side and despite the weather being a bit showery we had a most enjoyable holiday.

This is our second visit, I stayed in this house two months ago together with my daughter and now we came back to stay all our family (4 people).

Great place! Very green around, a lot of nature, fresh air and walks. Very quiet and clean. The house is spacious enough for 4 people, equipped with all amenities. Beds are comfortable to sleep, the house itself is old and romantic.

The owners were very helpful and recommended a great swimming pool nearby and helped make our holiday special by allowing us to feed the lambs.

Amazing location close to Jurassic coast and lots of lovely walks. We felt very safe and relaxed.

Lovely quiet location within a farm setting, ideal for families but not very young children due to an open pond and stream.

This cottage is a very special place, especially in spring time: lambs, primroses, blossom, what more could you want?

Seeing steam trains puffing past at the other end of the field was an added bonus!

It was gorgeous, quirky and in the most beautiful peaceful location.

Lovely owners, across the way, fresh free range eggs!

, chickens came to visit daily, very tranquil and quiet!, good base for Somerset and Devon!. Lots of places to visit locally too.... Dubster castle, The Bakerlite museum to name but two!. Short drive to the coast... couldn’t ask for more!.

It would have been a good idea to mention that the Mill has a couple of very low doors.

Brilliant holiday , owners were very helpful.

Our dog loved it there, plenty of space to run and stuff to see and smell... plenty of places to see only a few miles distant , though we were happy to just chill out on the farm. Even fishing for trout in the stream ,what more could you want.......
