    “We were delighted with Dragon House and unique in our experience.”

    We felt as though we were staying in a cross between a pub and a hotel. The bar and the pool room provided excellent entertainment for the wide range of ages in our party. There was plenty of outdoor space for eating and playing games. It would be very helpful if a washing machine could be installed as we were a party with small children staying for a week.

Bilbrook Holiday Cottages

Bilbrook Holiday Cottages consists of a glorious selection of two cottages resting near the historic village of Washford and the historic village of Dunster. This collection offers woodburning stoves, hot tubs, pizza ovens, and barbecues, so ideal for a big group or family that simply adores that outdoor lifestyle. The surroundings offer fantastic countryside trails for some idyllic strolls, and you can catch some rare wildlife by visiting the Tropiquaria Zoo. If you don’t fancy cooking, have a scrumptious meal out and about at one of the nearby eateries, such as the Luttrell Arms in Dunster. If you want a sea view with your treat, be sure to go to the East Quay Kitchen. For a day out, go to Watchet to enjoy the beach by sunbathing, dipping in the sea or having some sandy sports competitions. Watchet has an array of museums, such as The Radio Museum or the Watchet Boat Museum, for those who love to learn more. Dunster has plenty to do, especially for history lovers, as the Dunster Castle has a rich 1000-year history to be in awe of. Nutcombe Bottom has glorious paths for a group to walk or cycle, even tempting you into a race with one another. Slightly further afield, Minehead has the Blenheim Gardens for some beautiful scenery, the Minehead Eye activity centre to allow the kids to run wild, as well as The Golden Retriever Experience to be overwhelmed with the cutest of furry friends. Washford is a West Somerset rural village, on the A39 between Minehead and Bridgwater. Located two miles from the pretty coastal port of Watchet, this is an ideal base from which to explore Exmoor National Park and The Quantock Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
