Stayed here last year and had to come back this year and stay here for the week of our anniversary.
It's such a beautiful place. My partner is from the US and couldn't believe how beautiful it was. Amazing hosts and a lovely little dog that pops around to say hi when you park. The hot tub is amazing too.
The Barn is a very comfortable, relaxing, calming and tastefully designed place to stay.
It is well-equipped, like a home from home, with the hot tub being a very welcome bonus! The location is idyllic, so we enjoyed our mornings and evenings there enjoying the view, playing games and watching the ducks, as much as our days out exploring all that the local area has to offer. Our recommendations include: the Binneford Farm Walk with its magnificent views (a beautiful hand-painted map is provided at the property); Sandford, a quaint little village with a Post Office crammed with local produce, and the Lamb pub serving fabulous food (try Fish and Chip Friday!); Crediton, for its walks overlooking the town and surrounding countryside followed by lunch at Clovers. The market is held in the Square in Crediton every other Saturday and it’s well worth a visit; and Okehampton for its museum, shopping arcades and Victorian Pantry – the cream teas are out of this world. We had a wonderful holiday, and would definitely recommend the property.
A fabulous spacious barn in a beautiful setting complete with a pond, friendly ducks, and an even friendlier spaniel who regularly visits the visitors.
Peaceful surroundings & big dark skies to watch from the hot tub. Amazing pub not far in Cheriton Fitzpaine does the best Sunday roast.
