“In entry immediately noticed the gate does not lock and was a cut down fence panel, thus insecure.”

The slabs are extremely slippery, my grandson slipped even with crocs on. Why no washing machine? Having up to 7 people able to stay here, I would consider this a necessity. Kitchen chairs and bench legs loose. Sofa stinks of animals we had to vacuum it before we used it and this made it smell even worse, requires attention. How can you have a strict policy on animals staying downstairs and not go on furniture without having a living room door to prevent this? Shower drains water slowly due to ...

Kitchen chairs and bench legs loose. Sofa stinks of animals we had to vacuum it before we used it and this made it smell even worse, requires attention. How can you have a strict policy on animals staying downstairs and not go on furniture without having a living room door to prevent this? Shower drains water slowly due to blockage outside drain. If the birds don’t wake you up then the light coming through the windows will (blinds don’t block out much light) and if that doesn’t wake you the hardest mattresses in the world will along with the cheapest duvets, pillows etc.,. My daughter and her family had to leave earlier because they weren’t getting much sleep. The only positive is the hot tub helped rid the back pain from the terrible nights sleep.

The patio tiles are non-slip rated the same as used around swimming pools but as with all surfaces can become slippery when wet especially if running around on them. We’re not sure what you mean by the cut fence panel, it’s a gate that matches the fences and it has a clasp on it to shut it, for safety purposes we would not padlock the entrance gate. We don’t say in the listing that we have a washing machine, we find most guests just want to enjoy their holiday, but there are several launderettes in Burnham and our cleaning/maintenance team could have been contacted during your stay if you needed help finding one or for any other maintenance or cleaning issues during your stay. The property is fully cleaned and inspected by our professional cleaning team and there are no drain blockages, again if you have blocked a drain or have any issues our cleaners are able to be contacted. The house has a maximum occupancy of 6 guests. We love the birds in the morning, the property is in Somerset, we are surrounded by countyside and there are several local parks, the beach and nature reserves near us – you’ll need to stick to inner city escapes if you can’t stand the noise of countryside wildlife. Our cleaners could also have shown you how to use the window blinds if you were having difficulties closing them. We have had many responsible pet owners that have stayed at the property and had a great time with their pets. We love dogs, they’re part of the family, but we do ask that guests have house trained their pets and have some basic training and control over them both in the property and garden and for respect to our neighbours. Our mattresses are all emma memory foam, we do understand that beds are personal choice, many guests have said how good the beds are, but they don’t have the same bounce as a sprung mattress if this is what you were expecting – we prefer to leave any bouncing up to the guests. Thank you for your review, we'll look to make improvements and we hope in the future you can find a property more suited to your needs. Property Owner
