We loved staying at Tilia Barn!

Everything from the John Lewis interiors to the locally produced cheese (milk sourced from the farm), was outstanding. We had an issue with the electric blinds when we arrived, and even though Fred had been up late supporting one of his cows, he still showed up promptly to sort them for us. We would highly recommend this stay, for the style and elegance, as well as the lovely family who own this property. Thanks to Claire and Fred!

What a wonderful property.

This is probably the best holiday rental accommodation I have stayed. Everything was thought about, the kitchen especially was fantastically equipped. The property is driving to distant to all the major towns in Dorset, Wiltshire and Somerset. A good base to explore the area, although it is not really possible to walk to a town. But, we were happy to cook at the accommodation as the kitchen is wonderful.

Tilia barn is a high quality property Cleverley designed.

Interior design clean neutral but still has the wow factor. Fabrics of a high quality. Comfortable beds with clean fresh linen. Bathrooms clean and fluffy towels and robes provided. Crockery all matched. All the cooking utensils and pots and pans you would need, and all in v good condition. The fly screen did the trick. It is a property which is an Escape to the Country. Congratulations to the owners you have provided us with every comfort for a memorable enjoyable stay.

Fantastic barn with everything you need for a great stay.

Air con was a great addition. Enclosed garden was great to sit in and have bbqs in the sunny weather. Very central so great for visiting all the attractions. Thank you for a great stay.

Communication through Sykes is not the best and can be frustrating.

The accommodation was lovely. Very well equipped, clean, functional and comfortable. Location was good in relation to visiting the beautiful historical villages and the scenery. Unfortunately, location slightly spoilt by the road noise from the A303 when in the garden (not in the accommodation). However, we realise the owners can do nothing about this.

What a great place, a modern outlook on a barn accommodation, this is set just before the farm of which is a working farm but rather quiet than you would expect.

We have just returned from a relaxing break at Tilia Barn.

The barn is located in a quiet area of Wincanton on a working farm and is within easy travelling distance in the car to Sherbourne, Salisbury, Shaftsbury and other points of interest. The listing is accurate and the pictures on the website properly reflect the property. Tilia Barn is extremely well equipped, very well maintained and exactly as described. There were added unexpected extras such as good quality games to play (dominos etc) and the owners thoughtfully left us some local apple juice and cheese which were amazing (thank you). We relaxed immediately into our surroundings and enjoyed the beautiful accommodation and peaceful countryside. The owners should be proud of this absolutely lovely property.They obviously care a great deal about their customers and have taken the care to provide accommodation that is both high quality and comfotable. We would 100% recommed Tilia Barn to anyone staying in the area and would like to thank the owners for making it a fabulous break for us.

We were really impressed with the cottage – it was stylish, cosy, and finished to a very high standard.

The owner went above and beyond to assist with any issues, making the whole experience smooth and relaxing.

One of the best stocked kitchens for supplies I have experienced in a rental.

Although I visited in the dead of winter, the light of the space was great. No drama use of the TV with real terrestrial channels. The EV charger worked like a dream. All good all around.

Accommodation is beautifully decorated, well thought out and can’t think of anything to make the place any better Will definitely be back !

We loved the property.

It’s very comfortable, well equipped and most importantly it’s spotlessly clean. The property is very well situated to places of interests. Love watching the cows and their mooing in the morning. We were lucky to encounter only 4 flies. This not a problem but just personal choice, I would love to have a footstool to truly relax in the evening

Accommodation was awesome.

Spacious, comfortable, plenty of utensils etc. Well thought out, high spec. Group enjoyed it immensely. Great stay.

Tilia barn was an absolutely beautiful place to stay.

Fred was very accommodating and communication was amazing. My two year old loved all the outdoor space and the selection of kids toys were very much appreciated. Thank you so much for our sta!

Love this property.

Has ground floor bedroom and bathroom which is perfect for elderly or children. So well equipped, lovely quality bedding, towels and furnishings. Owner very helpful and friendly. Stayed before and will return.

As we were 1 of 2 couples that was staying there, we thought that the main bedroom upstairs was given preference over the down stairs bedroom, it would be nice if both bedrooms were given bathrobes to use as 1 couple had to walk to the downstairs bathroom.

Also I would have thought holiday cottages these days would also have air fryers as most people do use them now. It was a very nice stay and would recommend Tilia Barn, just needs a little bit of a upgrade with air fryer and extra bathrobes if it 2 separate couples staying.

Excellent facilities, lots of equipment.

The only problem is the flies, understandable with it being on a farm! Didn't spoil the holiday, just a little nuisance.

A lovely property, very clean and spacious, everything you need for a comfy stay.

Great location for visiting surrounding areas. With the weather being hot and also being on a farm there were a lot of flies in the property which became a nuisance. The owners had installed a fly killer to try and help. This didn’t spoil our trip

We had a fantastic stay and even extended an extra day because we didn’t want to go home.

Although we had to travel to surrounding attractions, the barn and the location was perfect because it was a peaceful place to return to after a busy day. The facilities and amenities are very well thought out and made our stay a bit like being at home. Our young kids really enjoyed Tilia Barn and they even got to have a little tour of the farm by Fred who was always so helpful and friendly during our stay. We will definitely be returning in the future, and we’ve had our friends and family already asking about Tilia Barn.

Tilia is very modern and well equipped.

Many visitors will like this, unfortunately not us. We found it starkly colorless, black, white and neutral far too clinical and impersonal, its full height living area made sound echo around, very unpleasant for seniors with hearing aids, we could'nt stand the TV noise. The sliding french windows needed a good clean with finger & hand prints all over them and the patio outside needed a good sweep up of fallen tree debris. We were blessed with glorious weather but opening the french doors let in all the flies,hundreds of them and the only aircon. was in the main bedroom. One simple improvement would be four dining chairs not two plus a bench seat. We did do our homework, took a risk, but it did'nt do it for us unfortunately. You live and learn!

Absolutely gorgeous modern property with all mod cons and very comfortable.

Will definitely return again in the future. 1 > The only thing I would change is the TV which is pretty dated and is very slow to change channels and access apps like Netflix etc. I would get a modern but cheap 75" for the space if it was feasible. 2 > Would of loved a small carton of milk for a morning cuppa/coffee. We arrived after 8pm and the local shell petrol station seemed to be closed earlier than usual. 3 > I have given you 5 stars and a 10/10 already but having a small jacuzzi in the garden would of been off the scale amazing. Definitely not a necessity but something to think about.

An amazing stay in a beautiful property just added to our list of perfect stays in sykes reccomended homes, we would always tell our friends and family to use sykes

What an excellent holiday let.

The attention to detail is first class. This is one of the best gites we have ever stayed in. Just one thing, please put a Barns sign at the entrance near the petrol station.

We had a wonderful family time at Tilia Barn.

Coming from abroad, we very much appreciated that Christmas decorations including tree and lightings were put out, giving that accommodation that extra cozy and homey feel. The accommodation is spacious, tastefully decorated and with quality fittings.The surroundings are very quite although only 5 minutes away from local shops and amenities at Wincanton. We would gladly come back again to Tilia Barn.

We had a really lovely half term break at Tilia Barn.

Great communication from the owners with recommendations of places to visit. Ideal location to explore…. We visited Longleat & the Jurassic coast. The Barn is superb, modern & very tastefully furnished. Lots of space & all the facilities we needed. It was very nice to have extra touches like welcome gifts ( the cheese from your cows was delicious!) & toiletries. We are so glad we chose Tilia Barn & would definitely recommend ( & return) thank you!

A thoroughly enjoyable stay at this lovely barn.

The property was very well designed and catered for every need both inside and out. We couldn't think of anything that could improve on what was already there. Hope to go back some day.

Lovely short stay.

Light, spacious, and well appointed, Tilia offers a unique space. Enjoyed a relaxing time there and some restful sleeps! Easy parking, peaceful environment with a good degree of privacy. Our host Fred, was helpful and easy to contact. Would certainly consider a return.

This was first-rate holiday accommodation: clean, comfortable, quiet, spacious and superbly equipped.

Having our own electric car charging and parking place was great. Unfortunately, because of my wife's illness and her need to go to hospital, we had to abandon our holiday after only three days and return home; otherwise it would have been a wonderful week.

Dear, we had a wonderful stay at Tilia Barn.

The house is really beautiful and complete. The provided fan because of the warm weather was really thoughtful of you. We went to two of the recommended restaurants in the brochure, which were lovely too. We visited the coast, Bath, Bristol, the Strawberryline, Cheddar and Stonehenge. We used our bikes a lot (from Bath to Bristol, the two tunnel stretch, Strawberry line and along the coast up to Burnham on Sea to Weston-super-mare. Of course we saw Cheddar and the Gorge. Top. Absolutely the best location we have ever stayed at!

. Clean tidy and contemporary with everything thought through. Close enough to the town and garage for emergency supplies. Recommended. The only thing missing was a 'butler'!

We had a tour of their farm cattle and newborn calves. Property is absolutely amazing! Immaculate, every detail thought of and furnished to highest of standards. Tilia Barn had the real wow factor from the moment we opened the front door.

It has been very thoughtfully converted, is beautifully furnished and appointed and spotlessly clean. The owners really have thought of everything and no expense has been spared in order to provide a fabulous holiday home! We would definitely recommend to others

A wonderful Christmas @ Tilia Barn From the moment of opening the front door we were met by the warmth of the underfloor heating and the luxurious surroundings.

The owners had kindly put up a real Christmas tree complete with lights and a few candle lit ornaments. A welcome basket of cheese, crackers and juice was also a lovely gift. There is nothing the owners have not thought of in Tilia Barn. Everywhere is immaculate and beautifully finished. The kitchen has every utensil, pot,pans, knives you can think of. Even a thoughtful salt & pepper mill. The bathrooms are stocked with 'Cow Shed' hand soap/cream, shower gel & hair shampoo. The lounge is furnished with comfy Scandinavian furniture and has a smart TV on wall. All the lighting is touch button. The blinds in lounge & main bedroom skylight are automatic. There is also an air conditioning unit in main bedroom. A washing machine, iron, ironing board, hoover, even a torch is housed in a large downstairs cupboard, which also holds a concertina folder with user manual guide for all the electrical appliances. We truly had a wonderful stay at Tilia Barn. All your hard work has definitely paid off and we look forward to returning soon.

An incredible property in the perfect location.

Comfortable, modern and equipped with everything you need (or could think of!) for a country escape. We have stayed a few times now, and will be booking again soon for sure. I really can’t fault it.

What a super holiday home, everything provided to make our stay a home from home.

Will be highly recommending and looking forward to another visit next year when we return for the Longleat Festival of Lights.

We booked Tilia barn as we have an electric car and wanted the facility of charging over night.

We also wanted a pet free accommodation. The barn was immaculate and comfortable with lots of little extras. The quality of the furnishings was excellent. We would highly recommend and would stay here again. Thankyou to the owners for their assistance.

Very nice property, Build to a high level.

Felt that it was just missing maybe a tv upstairs. The sofa at times was a tight squeeze and not enough dishwasher tablets were left. The blinds were a nice feature but think the remote on the rear door blinds had run out so unable to use last day or so. Apart from that lovely property and have recommended it to friends and family already.

Modern barn conversion very tastefully appointed and equipped.

We loved it. Minor problem with the EV charger was immediately fixed by the owner and Energy Park. Our only slight negative was the comfort of the chairs which wasn’t great. Overall - excellent.
