Set up camp on the patio area and enjoy some drinking and alfresco dining while soaking up the simply sublime surroundings.

The rural views are outstanding and this really is a great setting to get away from it all.

Inside, a welcoming entrance hall invites guests into the property, where they can choose from a charming snug with ample seating focused around a feature stove-effect fireplace, or the elegant sitting room with a traditional inglenook fireplace complete with woodburning stove and TV, making it a great place to sit back and relax, or gather together to watch a film.

When it comes to mealtimes, the kitchen is wonderfully appointed with all the facilities needed to create some fantastic meals for the whole group, and when it’s ready to serve up, the delightful dining room is ready to host some fantastic dinner parties, followed by an intense family game night with the property's selection of board games.

Come bedtime visitors can take their pick from four stylish bedrooms which boast some spectacular rural views and offer a relaxing oasis of comfort and calm.

Venture out to visit the local village of Chilton Polden and treat yourselves to brunch at Fika cafe at West House Farm, book into the pool and spa, before heading over to see all the farm animals and having a go at alpaca trekking.

A short drive will take you to the village of Street where you'll find Clarks Village shopping centre and a handful of eateries.

A stone's throw away is Glastonbury where history lovers will love to visit Glastonbury Tor with its sweeping views, Glastonbury Abbey and Somerset Rural Life Museum with interactive exhibitions for the kids to enjoy.

It wouldn't be a trip to Somerset without a visit to England's smallest city, Wells.

Here you'll be able to see the stunning Wells Cathedral, The Bishop's Palace & Gardens and stroll around the city stopping at the local boutiques and cafes it has to offer.

Make sure to take advantage of the properties location boasting a wealth of wonderful walks, hikes, bike trails with some spectacular views along the way as far as Wales and Exmoor.

Watch the spectacular murmurations at RSPB Ham Wall and visit Avalon Marshes for a variety of migrant wetland birds and walks or visit Cheddar for its beautiful views of the gorge and visit the caves.

Those after a more relaxing activity can head to the dog-friendly Berrow Beach in Burnham-on-Sea or Weston Super Mare Beach to spend a sunny afternoon lounging on the sand or strolling along the Grand Pier.

Canny Croft is the perfect holiday destination for your next group getaway.

Canny Croft is a lovely large house in wonderful rural location.

It was clean and the bathrooms were in good order. But the house needs some redecorating in places. The kitchen in particular needs attention - large cracks in wall and ceiling and the paintwork was grubby. The exterior paintwork also very dirty. The garden is nice, but no decent garden furniture to sit on, which was a disappointment as we had nice weather.

Perfect cottage for our family of 7 adults and 2 children (under 3).

Brilliant having two bathrooms upstairs and a toilet downstairs. Loved having the open plan kitchen / dining table so we could all be together cooking and eating dinner. And comfortable lounge areas.

Perfect for our family reunion - parking for up to 4 cars and clear access via the huge back porch into the giant (and joined) kitchen and dining space.

Comfy bedrooms, warm central heating, shower rooms with toilets x2, a downstairs loo and everything super clean. It's quiet being away from busy roads too, just a lovely, spacious getaway with loads of room to relax into. .
