Great little cottage had a great time in Porlock all we needed for break.

The cottage was lovely, well equipped, great location, we had to contact the owner and she was very helpful.

Would definitely recommend.

An exceptionally clean and comfortable cottage with many thoughtful touches in a very convenient location for the lovely, interesting village in a beautiful part of Somerset.

The owner lives nearby and is friendly and helpful. We just had a 3 night break but wish we'd stayed longer!

My sister and I stayed in this lovely cottage for 4 nights.

Its position is perfect for exploring locally as well as a great jumping off place for investigating other nearby areas of North Devon. The cottage is very well equipped and spotlessly clean as well as being homely and comfortable. The owner, Pauline, is extremely helpful and responds quickly to any queries. We will most definitely be back.

A fantastic week on Exmoor, topped off by a brilliant cottage.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay and our dog was in heaven with all the different walks she had. Mind you, she needed the exercise after all the fit bits she got. There was no downside to the property. It was exactly what we needed.

A lovely few days in this Porlock gem.

Warm and cosy when we arrived on a January evening. Lovely touches to make us feel welcome - and our 4 legged friend too with dog bowls, mat & towel available. Everything we could want was available already (the usual gripes of no decent cooking knives and random pans was not the case in this lovely property). The owner was very helpful and quick to respond to queries, thank you. We would definitely recommend and hope to return.

A lovely cottage in a great village

The cottage is lovely and comfortable, with a well stocked kitchen.

Radiators in each room can be adjusted individually to suit, meaning it was lovely and warm. Living room has a selection of books and games as well as connected TV with usual streaming apps available (Don’t forget to log out of them if you do log in!). Shower was easily adjustable to taste and the big fluffy towels plentiful. Parking space a bonus, but needs careful manoeuvring to get in when other vehicles are parked in the turning space. A small issue at check in was very quickly resolved by the very responsive owner. Would thoroughly recommend.

What a lovely stay!

The cottage was both warm and comfortable with everything needed for a great holiday. Porlock is a lovely village and the cottage is very close to all the amenities. The powerful shower and large fluffy towels were a definite hit.

We love this quirky little haven in the middle of the village so much we’ll soon be back.

It’s quiet, comfy well equipped and so convenient. It was only storm Amy howling in under the front door and straight down my neck that made me long for a door curtain in the sitting room archway.

Very cosy and well equipped cottage in a perfect location for walking Exmoor National Park.

Lovely home, clean and warm.

Instructions were good and fairly easy to follow. We like staying at the Mews and mostly likely will be back :) good base for trips and walks and nice quiet corner of Porlock. We had family staying in Sparkhayes Campsite and this was a great compromise with our toddler as we could just walk down in the mornings! Easy walk from here to Porlock marsh and beach.

This lovely little cottage is so convenient, right in the heart of the village but so quiet and relaxing and the welcome cake was a tasty treat, thank you.

The bathroom fan didn’t work and a few more coat hooks in the hall would be useful but no big deal, we have already rebooked for the autumn!

We had such a lovely stay thanks for everything It was very comfortable and equipped, perfect location for enjoying the south west coast path.

A beautiful property that was so well equipped and incredibly comfortable.

In such a good location both for the local village to buy any supplies I needed but also central to so many places in the local area. I could easily have spent the week exploring without using the car. I visit Exmoor at least one every year so will most definitely be booking to stay here again. Absolutely loved it.

I had a fantastic stay at 1 Mews in Parlock.

The property was spotless, beautifully furnished, and felt like a true home away from home. Every detail was thoughtfully considered, from the cozy bedding to the well-equipped kitchen. The neighborhood was peaceful and safe, with easy access to shops and major routes. The host was friendly, professional, and went above and beyond to ensure a smooth check-in and comfortable stay. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area and would absolutely stay again!
