“The cottage was nice, but not terribly clean; some of the kitchen utensils / pots & pans ere pretty dirty.”
Annoyingly, no coffee in the welcome pack; an empty salt cellar, (why?), no washing machine tablets, and enough washing up liquid to fill a sink once. Surely the basics of a welcome pack could have included these? You advertise as pet friendly, yet there are half a dozen rules and regulations you must follow, when reading the rather shabby welcome folder. Why could these not be available at the time of booking? In my opinion, you are either pet friendly or you are not . That aside, the cottage was very comfortable, and we enjoyed our stay.
Thank you for your feedback, we always aim to improve where we can. We do leave coffee / tea and sometimes sachets of hot chocolate, sugar. Apologies if there wasn't coffee.
We also provide some cleaning materials in the kitchen, but it's self catering and we do not normally provide cooking sauces, salt, etc. These are in the cottage from time to time but we don't say these are included as rule.
Washing up liquid / some dishwasher tablets are normally provided as are a few logs for the fire too, but we don't provide logs for whole of stay. Like with other elements of start / welcome pack, it should be enough for your arrival. We do have a washing machine but don't supply machine tablets etc as they can be dangerous to children if left around.
Reference pet friendly, we do welcome dogs and like to be as pet friendly as possible. We don't provide pet bedding and ask dog owners to bring pet bedding with them and also keep dogs of furniture. We don't feel this is too much to ask and there certainly isn't lots of rules. Once again thank you for your feedback it's been taken on board.
