Foxglove

We have had a wonderful relaxing 5 nights stay .

The accommodation is in a lovely quiet location and of a very high standard. The bed is very comfortable and the facilities are good. outside seating area is lovely. The owner made us feel very welcome she is a lovely lady with her beautiful horses all very friendly . Lots of places of interest to visit nearby . A very restful relaxing stay .would not hesitate to book again if in the area ..

This property is really lovely, beautifully presented, very clean and tidy, very comfortable with all the amenities you would need for a break away.

The surrounding area is just beautiful, the veranda overlooking the fields with deer and horses was lovely, so peaceful, just what we were looking for! Close enough to Glastonbury and Shepton Mallet for shops, restaurants etc and ideally located for visiting the coast, Brean Down was lovely and the beautiful city of Wells. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would love to return and would highly recommend! 5 stars!

Lovely spacious property in a great location and with fantastic views.

Host came to check all was ok and was friendly. Would recommend staying here

The lodge is fabulous.

Very spacious inside (even more than the photos suggested). It’s well equipped. The bed was super comfy. In a lovely quiet location just outside Glastonbury. The owner was very helpful and friendly. We hope to return in future.

We stayed in Foxglove for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it.

What a setting! The chalet was comfortable and very clean. The host was so welcoming, with helpful tips about the area. The only thing that caught me out was that there is no hairdryer, but I survived! I would definitely recommend this property and would certainly stay there again.

Jo, our host, was absolutely lovely.

The accommodation was even more spacious than it appeared in the app photos. We stayed in September, and although the evenings were chilly, the underfloor heating kept us perfectly warm throughout, remarkably so, given the size of the main room and its high ceiling. We didn’t need to adjust a thing. It was a real treat to see horses grazing in the surrounding fields. All in all, a superb getaway.

I think this was our 9th stay We still love coming and have already booked again Lovely chalet Beautiful surroundings And friendly helpful hosts

Idyllic relaxing stay with great hosts and amazing surroundings.

Will be booking again soon

Fantastic host and beautiful peaceful setting.

We had a lovely stay and the area is beautiful.

Loved our stay at Foxglove, thank you Jo!

Another great stay Already booked to come again Jo and Brett great hosts always so friendly Waking up to fields is just so calming each day

A wonderful, relaxing and idillic country setting.

The farm grounds are beautiful with horses in the fields in-front of the lodges and a fresh water lake. Plenty of green space for the kids to play outdoors. The actual lodge is spacious with comfortable beds and everything you need. Great location for Millfield school, Glastonbury or the out door pool and outlet shopping in Street. Our dog was also welcome.

We spent a wonderful week at Foxglove and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The home was very spacious and comfortable, particularly the bed. I usually have trouble falling asleep however I was out like a light straight away every night we stayed here. The property is the perfect location for Glastonbury and we even took a walk onto the festival site which is just a short walk up the road. The view from the porch was beautiful and we enjoyed sitting out there listening to nature, even in the rain. I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else if we were in the area again, this place would be very hard to beat.

If you’re looking for luxury, then this is not for you.

The chalets are utilitarian; clean, with basic, IKEA furniture, at a guess, but adequate. But it’s okay. The chalet is situated on a farm, in the middle of nowhere, but not far from everywhere, Glastonbury being about four miles away and I think, Wells about the same distance. The welcome we received was second to none. Jo is a wonderful host and is an easy and open, person to talk with. The farm is a livery, so if you love horses, then you won’t be disappointed. There is walking, if that is your activity and then there is Petunia, a resident peahen. Would I return after four nights experienced? Too right I will, but for a longer time.

As always, brilliant

Plus - Lovely property.

Well situated for everything in Somerset. Plenty of cupboard space for food which isn’t always available in other cottages. Fab bathroom & bedroom. Great views of the hills, fields & horses. Minus - sofa not very comfortable. Sykes had listed that there was a washing machine in the property but apparently it was in an out building which we didn’t find out I until the last day.

Absolutely love the place, we've already booked to go back.

Another lovely stay at Stickleball farm Waking up to the view of horses in the fields is still something I look forward to each time we,stay

Another wonderful stay

Lovely stay in a beautiful, quiet location.

The chalet was warm and comfortable, with everything we needed, and the owner was very welcoming and helpful. Will definitely be back!

Foxglove is a really super and comfortable place to stay.

The owners are friendly and helpful and made us feel really welcome. The lodge was warm and cozy with everything you could possibly need during your stay and there surroundings were calm and quite beautiful. It was perfectly placed for a peaceful, rural retreat but was close enough to plenty of interesting places to visit with loads of attractions and historical sites nearby. Overall a place we would go back to again and take Charley Dog to add well.

A relaxing stay with amazing views.

The weather was kind to us in October so it was a treat to sit out in the veranda to admire the views and our dog enjoying the open space. Jo and Brett are great hosts. Thank you .

Excellent.

Beautiful place

Lovely holiday let ,have stayed here 3 times , would recommend to anyone.

We had a lovely couple of nights staying in Foxglove last weekend.

A warm welcome from the owner & the chalet certainly didn’t disappoint. Spotlessly clean, comfortable & surrounded by fields. Perfectly located not far from a main road & close to Glastonbury which was on our list to visit. Would highly recommend

Excellent Lodge very comfortable plenty of space in and around, nice little walk to small lake.

Unfortunately there are peacocks around which walk up to lodges and make a mess on patio area, not very hygienic. J

Our third stay here and hopefully will be many more the chalets are of high quality set to enjoy a beautiful view.

The hosts are friendly and helpfull Nigel ,Trudi and Bracken

Accommodation and location were amazing, Owners were very approachable.

Spectacular views and very peaceful, so relaxing your just happy to sit and watch the world go bye. Chalet is well equipped and very comfortable with everything you need. I'm just looking forward to making a return visit.

Brilliant holiday chalet.

Very warm and comfortable. Great shower and very comfortable bed. Wonderful peaceful setting, easy drive into town. Very friendly hosts.

Can't fault the cleanliness.

But small things such as the sharp knives being dangerous to use (broken hilt). The heating in the bathroom not working and the smoke alarm being.super sensitive and impossible to mute as it was 10 feet high or more. It would be perfection in a heavenly setting otherwise.

Great accommodation and friendly hosts looking forward to coming again

We’ve had a lovely week in Foxglove chalet despite the weather.

We had a great stay in the warm, comfortable chalet with all amenities we could need. Thanks for our hosts Jo and Brett, we will certainly return.

What a lovely place to stay waking up to horses grazing in the fields , if you are looking for somewhere that feels remote but is easy reach of local towns then look no further .

our Goldie Bracken love to watch out of the windows. Very pleasant hosts and clean and tidy accommodation. Can't wait to stay again Nigel

We spent a fabulous week at Foxglove.

The hosts are friendly, welcoming and helpful. The chalet is comfortable and modern, and was cool during the heat. The environment is beautiful- we really enjoyed listening to and watching the buzzards and horses. The carp lake is lovely to sit by, and it's possible to swim in it. The chalet is also well placed as a base for exploring the area. Strongly recommended.

All of us, including our dog, really enjoyed the stay.

My daughters liked saying hello to the friendly horses. The boundaries are fenced, therefore, we had peace of mind that our dog will not wander off. Highly recommended.

It was really lovely, the accommodation was perfect and the grounds around it was beautiful relaxing horses in the field lovely decking to sit on what more could you won’t .

Glastonbury just up the road .And a very nice ownerThankyou

The property was exceptionally clean.

It was in a beautiful location with access to walks on the owners land. The owner welcomed us on arrival, was friendly and approachable, not that we had cause to ask for anything. WE had a peaceful, relaxing holiday from start to finish.

I was looking for a comfortable, peaceful place to relax and download for myself and my dog.

I could not have found a better place where my dog could run around and I could chill. Although the garden is not enclosed, I felt my dog was safe. I didn’t need anything extra in the accommodation-everything was thought of. Hosts were very friendly. I am planning when to return.

Foxglove is in a beautiful location.

Relax on the decking or looking out of the window in the main room and watch the horses running around together. Foxglove is spacious and was very clean. On arrival we were left a bottle of "Moon Cider" It's made just around the corner from the accommodation and if I did have a moan about our stay is we were only given 1 bottle. It's a really nice drink and I recommend you go and buy a couple yourself. Jo met us on arrival and was welcoming. If we needed her we could always go around the house or call her mobile. We intend going back and for those intending to go I can tell you the WiFi was fine and good. We took our own firestick and we had no problems playing it. So in summary we had a relaxing stay in beautiful accomodation overlooking lush green hills with horses to keep you company.

Can't be faulted.

..lovely cottage...quite location...highly recommended

We had a lovely time, Jo was very helpful, the accommodation was wonderful, and great walks from site with the dog.

Highly recommend.

The location is beautiful , and everything is exceptionally clean and new, with everything you need.

Owner is very nice and helpful Our only very small issue was the comfort of the double bed, we could it very hard, but that might be to some peoples liking. Other than that though, pretty perfect and would highly recommend!

Lovely chalets in private field very quiet beautiful surroundings.

It is hidden away so took some finding first time we stayed. About five mile from glastonbury but right next to farm that hosts glastonbury pop festival so if you don't want to be part of festival avoid those dates. JO who owns chalet is amazing

Spacious, light & well thought out accommodation in a picturesque location.

Ticked all the boxes for us.

Fantastic hosts nothing too much trouble!

very welcoming. will return again!!

Perfect rural retreat where you feel free to come and go undisturbed.

The added bonus of the fish pond kept our dog entertained as well. Brilliant location and we didnt want to leave! Highly recommend and amazing chalet with so much space.

Peaceful location, beautiful scenery, great lodge.

We had an amazing stay at Foxglove!

It was such a lovely and spacious chalet, and extremely clean. It had all the amenities we needed and it was so peaceful. The fishing pond is lovely as well - you can swim there and also it’s a great place to sunbathe! Jo and her husband were lovely hosts who made us feel very welcome. Can’t recommend this place enough! ☺️

Jo and her husband are fantastic and so very welcoming.

We had our first holiday with our one year old and the accommodation couldn’t have been better suited. Open the doors and let the little one run out across the open fields whilst making a fuss of any horses that are near by. Perfection. Clean, spacious accommodation with everything you’d need. Great distance from local attractions and a good base for places like Longleat and Bath. We will definitely be coming back to enjoy the idyllic setting of Stickleball Farm.

The location was perfect.

The accommodation was exactly has shown on line. The owners were extremely friendly, helpful and made us very welcome. I have no hesitation in recommending these lovely Cabins for anyone wanting some peace and quiet.

We were three families who rented three cottages and all three are similar.

We had excellent stay. Jo and her husband were very helpful and they showed children the horse stables and children enjoyed this very well. The accommodation was brilliant, very clean and very good size. We were four in each chalet and it was very comfortable. Children played all day cricket on the fields in front of the chalet and they even helped out with the barbecue at the pond which was great. We would visit again and it will be great for three families visiting together. Only thing was there was no Wifi, but this was not something we were bothered with.

Great location.

, very peaceful and quiet with a great outlook. Easy to get to local attractions in Glastonbury Shepton Mallet Yeovil and Wells and further to Cheddar and the coast. Only facility missing was a vacumn cleaner as we took our dog who sheds hair constantly.

Fantastic accommodation and stunning setting, very comfortable and well equipped.

..ideal position for walking or going off in the car to lots of scenic places in the local area.....Sitting on the covered decking in the sun with a glass of wine following a day walking looking out on the fabulous view was just great.....the owners are also very friendly and helpful and are smashing people ....couldn’t fault this break and will return....

A fabulous dog friendly property in the most peaceful setting.

We really enjoyed our 4 night stay in Foxglove and were talking about returning even before we left! Our (hyperactive, ex-hunting rescue) spaniel was incredibly calm and relaxed here, given the presence of horses, deer, moles, birds etc! We used a 20 metre lead that we attached to one of the posts on the deck and were able to leave him to safely explore his surroundings (the grounds are not fully enclosed). The property was very clean, very modern, well appointed and as cosy outside as it was inside. We loved sitting out on the deck, the view is lovely, and we found it incredibly relaxing and peaceful. The owners were very friendly. The location is perfect for visiting Glastonbury (town and festival), Bath, and Cheddar Gorge. Highly recommended!

The fox glove chalet was excellent and the stickleball farm is a loverly location.

The owners couldn't be more helpful or friendly. If we decide to visit the area again we would go back to this chalet
