“This beautiful cottage is a real home from home .”

The owners go above and beyond with thoughtful touches from the welcome bottle of wine to a gift left especially for my 9 year old granddaughter. There’s plenty of board games and books and a smart TV with Netflix in the lounge area and another smart TV in the bedroom. The kitchen is superbly equipped with quality pots and pans, utensils and crockery and all the extras needed like well stocked refreshments, condiments, cleaning products etc. The bathroom and bedroom are both beautifully ...

The kitchen is superbly equipped with quality pots and pans, utensils and crockery and all the extras needed like well stocked refreshments, condiments, cleaning products etc. The bathroom and bedroom are both beautifully decorated and what a powerful shower! My only suggestion would be to install either a wall mounted or ceiling fan in the bedroom as it gets extremely hot in there even though it wasn’t particularly warm weather as I found to the windows difficult to open. A folding step stool would be a useful addition in the kitchen as I struggled to reach the top shelves in the kitchen cupboards. Overall Hardings Cottage is a wonderful little place to unwind and relax with all local amenities within easy reach, not to mention the great little chippy directly opposite, ideal on arrival.

“Cottage very clean, well equipped, and high tech.”

(A problem for a low tech pensioner!) and a few seconds walk to centre. Talking to the people next door, discovered there was a designated parking place by the cottage. Outside space rather disappointing. Too small.

Nice and helpful owners every thing was close by but sea front 20 minutes walk cottage is fully updated with everything but found tv hard to get around due to technology as we are both older and semi disabled and not updated on technology but owner kept in touch by messages telling me what to do had a lovely stay in cottage try it you won't be disappointed Mike and Mo smith stoke on trent staffordshire

Amazing little detached cottage. So exceptionally peaceful for an amazing nights sleep. So close to everything, shops, pub and public transport. The devil is always in the detail and this is where Harding's Cottage wins hands down.

“A lovely well equipped cottage with a very modern kitchen and shower.”

Very close to the town centre. Everything is so well designed that although it is small it didn’t seem cramped. We went on the little bus to Porlock and Porlock Weir. Unfortunately the Exmoor explorer bus finished for the summer on the 31st August but we did manage a ride to Lynmouth on its last day. We were looking forward to fish and chips on arrival but the chippy opposite the cottage seems to have closed. But apart from those small details we had a perfect week and hope to return one day.

“This is a delightful tiny cottage which has been beautifully restored, a stones throw from all amenities.”

The owners have thought of every single thing to ensure maximum comfort. My only suggestion would be to replace bath towels with bath sheets ,but other than that, everything was done to provide guests with a positive experience

“Nice and cosy little house.”

It is well maintained and appropiately furnished. The kitchen has everything one would need for self catering. This lodge is located quite centrally in Minehead just a 10 mins walk to the sea front and railway station (West Somerset Railway). We really enjoyed our stay.

Parking was straight forward but did require a scout about and a bit of a walk to recover the car when we needed it. For a couple who want to comfortable cottage in the heart of the town I would have no hesitation in recommending this cottage.

Had all the facilities you need for a comfortable stay. Could have done with a bigger TV ( my husband is partially sighted) but that's my only negative. No problems finding parking nearby and we parked directly opposite in the limited parking spot to unload & load.

MINEHEAD

Taunton 24 miles; Bridgwater 27 miles.

The popular seaside resort of Minehead occupies a wonderful sheltered spot beneath the dramatic North Hill, on the lovely West Somerset Coast. This welcoming town boasts a mile long esplanade, providing a wonderful backdrop to the golden beach, whilst the pretty harbour, visited in the summer by the famous paddle steamer Waverley, offers excellent fishing opportunities. Enjoy a nostalgic steam train journey from the seafront on the West Somerset Railway, or visit Blenheim Gardens, winner of many awards for its beautiful floral displays. Renowned for the largest herd of red deer in England, Exmoor National Park with its wooded valleys, pretty bridlepaths and heather clad moors, is well worth a visit, whilst the magnificent Norman Castle at nearby Dunster is a must.
