Stylish-looking conversion, offering plenty of space.

Very clean, l arge bathroom with a super shower, lots of hot water. ( NB, there is no separate toilet, alas).Easy to find , a great location with nature and history in easy reach. Would be lovely in summer, as there is a garden at the rear. We found the bedroom above the car port draughty, the wind fairly whistled through the window frame. The furnishings are very sparse, a couple of rugs, some throws and a few pictures would increase the winter cosiness. Logs are available to purchase, but it would be a nice touch if a basket was included for winter lets.

Shower was amazing. Owners were very friendly and welcoming and although on site respected our privacy. Plenty of local walks and areas to explore. We will be back

The barn conversion is a lovely place to stay, ideally situated in a nice peaceful village, great for exploring Somerset. We highly recommend staying at Willow Barn. Chris & Frances

The cottage was gorgeous and perfect for us.

We were met by Andrew who showed us round the property and explained everything to us. He even popped back with a couple of welcome beers which was lovely of him. He gave us some insights into the local area and we even visited Greenbank Pool in Street that he highly recommended. Its an outdoor heated lido with small splash pad that our 8 year old daughter loved. Not being close to a beach it was ideal in the warm weather we had while there. Him and his wife Helen were so welcoming to us and our daughter. I couldn't speak highly enough of them or the property. I'd like to thank them for what was a beautiful place to base our holiday.

The property is beautiful, well equipped and a great base for sightseeing in Somerset. It was very clean and comfortable and the outside area was lovely to relax in. I read a previous review that said there was no freezer. The owners have since put in an additional fridge with a freezer compartment, which was more than adequate for our needs. Andrew & Helen were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend Willow Barn to family and friends.

Lovely property in a quiet village, which was ideal for our needs.

The accommodation was set in a quiet village, within short driving distance of Street with its heated outside pool and Clarks Village.

Close by to visit places such as National Trust Houses, Wells, Glastonbury and Avalon Marshes where you can see Birds if you enjoy that and great for walking. Property itself was clean and very well equipped, everything was thought of even fans for hot weather and a hairdryer. Lovely walk in rainfall shower. The property was adjacent to the owners home, but not intrusive and owners Andrew and Helen were on hand if you needed them. Had a great week and wonderful weather, so could enjoy the patio with seating and lawned garden (could have done with a sun umbrella). Would recommend this property and will definitely be coming back.

Superb accommodation with a fabulous walk in shower.

The kitchen well equipped and modern. Everything was spotlessly clean. Bi-fold doors opened onto a lovely patio with table and chairs and a lawned area beyond. It had a very useful carport right next to the front door so if it was raining you didn't get wet walking to and from your car especially on arrival and departure! We never needed to use the underfloor heating or log burner as the weather was warm but I can imagine it would make it even cosier in the winter. Owners were very helpful and suggested local places to eat for an Anniversary meal.

The accommodation was of an exceptionally high standard and the owners were very friendly and helpful.

We enjoyed visiting the peaceful Avalon marshes area and seeing all the wildlife. Many thanks to Helen and Andrew for a wonderful holiday.

The cottage exceeds its description and is exceptionally well appointed and maintained with modern touches throughout.

Andrew and Helen were hospitable, friendly hosts and made us very welcome from the start.

The Barn was immaculate in every way with local stone floors and walls and wood interior showing tremendous care and attention to detail. We would highly recommend Willow Barn. For us, it was ideally suited for its position on the edge of the Avalon marshes and it's wildlife but is also well placed to explore that part of Somerset including Glastonbury, Wells and Somerton.

We count ourselves very fortunate to have found that Willow cottage was free for our last minute booking.

Our hosts made us very welcome and we were able to relax in what turned out to be a glorious warm week. We found so many interesting places closeby and recommend anyone birdwatching the this is the place to stay.

We had no problems throughout our stay, but Andrew was on hand should we have needed him.

Fabulous property at the end of a pretty village.

It is central for exploring this lovely area with an abundance of nature reserves locally. We were greeted by Andrew the friendly owner who showed us around and gave advice. A nice touch was the lovely Christmas tree.

The property was excellent, very well laid out with all the facilities required.

You park under the arch, keeping your vehicle covered. Spoke to Andrew the owner who was very friendly indeed. It was ideally based next to nature reserve, close to Street, Glastonbury, Wells. We also visited Wedmore, Cheddar, Burnham on Sea and Bath.

Beautiful spacious modern cottage.

Loved the large bathroom with amazing waterfall shower. Only problem with young children is washing them without getting drenched! The cottage was very hot and humid during our stay so the tower fans were a godsend. Only things we missed were a coffee table in centre of room and an ice compartment in the fridge...we were unable to freeze our ice blocks for picnics or have ice in drinks! Hosts very welcoming. Situated in pretty village.

Lovely property, well fitted out and comfortable.

Andrew gave excellent instructions on how to find barn and was there to take us round property. Shapwick is ideally situated for exploring this part of Somerset, Glastonbury a short drive away, Wells, Bath and Gloucester are lovely places to visit. I would thoroughly recommend coming here.

Willow Barn was set in a idilic location and was superbly decorated and furnished to a high standard .

Thanks to Helen and Andrew we had the perfect week exploring the Somerset Levels.

The Barn lived up to expectations if not exceeded them.

The owners were very helpful friendly but not intrusive. Lovely welcome pack of fresh milk tea coffee and biscuits. Would definitely stay here again in the future. The property had everything you would need , well appointed kitchen and bathroom with amazing walk in shower. One tiny thing but this is a personal preference is to have bath sheets as opposed to bath towels, otherwise everything perfect.

A well appointed and comfortable cottage with attentive and friendly owners.

We had a lovely four night stay and enjoyed the comfy bed, incredible shower (one of the best we’ve experienced in a holiday cottage), the huge sofa in the living room and large log burner. The kitchen is very high spec and well equipped too. With a solid and reliable WiFi, a large smart tv with Netflix, and the underfloor heating, this cottage provides all you need for a splendid break.

We had a lovely week in Willow Barn over the New Year period.

The cottage was absolutely spotless, with furnishings and fixtures & fittings of a very high standard. We felt completely at home and relaxed straightaway. Andrew, the owner couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. He went out of his way to ensure that everything was done to make our stay comfortable. The cottage is in a great spot to explore Somerset and the surrounding nature reserves. Thanks again, Andrew for a great stay.

Exceptionally clean, efficient underfloor heating and fantastic log burner.

Just a shame there is no separate freezer or even a freezer compartment in the fridge. Hosts live next door and were very friendly and welcoming. Very quick to respond to our messages.
