The Coach House had everything you need for a nice break very clean and comfortable.

An absolute gem of a place, no words can explain what tranquility this cottage offers, nor the friendliness of the owners.

Wow, what a gem, nestled away in the beautiful Somerset countryside.

We had the most wonderful week here. The Coach House is delightful and offers everything you could need for a break. Sarah and Peter (the owners) could not be more friendly or accomodating and their garden is a stunning place to sit, relax and watch the wildlife. The orchard was also a lovely peaceful haven. Thank you for sharing your little oasis with us and we can't wait to come back

Well situated property, not far from the M5 so a journey to the South Coast, Devon/Dorset isn't a problem.

Quite village with gentle walks from the property, canal paths easily accessible. Pub in the village serves basic but good pub food. The property is spotlessly clean and has all the facilities you need, very comfortable. Apartment is first floor and is accessed by some steps to the rear of the property, lovely views across the fields. Unfortunately the week we stayed the weather wasn't the best but we found plenty to do. Thoroughly recommend the West Somerset Railway, the Bishops Lydeard Country Living Museum and slightly further afield Coldharbour Mill in Devon, (down the M5). Also a 55 minute drive to Sidmouth in Dorset to visit the Donkey Sanctuary. Our hosts, Mr and Mrs Allen (along with Holly the dog) welcomed us on arrival but just let us get on with our holiday, always there if needed. All in all an enjoyable stay and no hesitation in staying again should we holiday in Somerset.

Comfortable and spacious, quiet and peaceful location. Good walks along canal with a Pub stop on the route. Would stay there again if we visited Somerset in the future.

This was my second time at the Coach house and the welcome was warm as usual from Sarah and Peter, and from a very enthusiastic Holly.

The apartment is beautifully presented, well equipped, and in a quiet location, fairly near the A38, which also gives easy access to the M5, making visiting the area attractions easy. While I was there I visited the West Somerset Railway, the Fleet Air Arm Museum, and a number of National Trust Properties, all recommended and within an easy drive.

The Coach House was exactly what we hoped for and Sarah couldn't have been more welcoming.

The village of North Newton is absolutely beautiful, as was the welcome in the local pub, the Harvest Moon. Somerset is a beautiful county to visit, it is passed through, far too often. Hopefully more people will appreciate just what it has to offer. The local towns are treasure troves of gems to find and explore and Cheddar is just stunning. We are certainly look to book again, and hope to go back to the Coach House, as we loved our week there

Very cosy and comfortable accommodation that is handily located for several local attractions (Minehead, Glastonbury, Taunton, Bridgwater).

Tesco Express in the nearby village. There's also a canal side walk to a delightful tearoom that can be done from the property. A decent knife sharpener and a measuring jug or two would be good additions in the kitchen but otherwise we had no misgivings whatsoever.

This was a really well presented property in an ideal location for visiting the National Trust properties I wanted to go to as well as the nearby West Somerset Railway and the Fleet Air Arm Museum in Yeovilton.

Convenient for accessing the M5 for travelling further afield and with a bar/restaurant only 3 minutes stroll away. There is also the owner lovely garden available next to the Coach House.

The flat is well laid-out, all the rooms are a good size, the parking is ample, the garden is a pleasant 'extra' and the owners are very friendly and helpful.

The location could not be better for the Somerset coast, the Quantocks and the Levels (though Bridgwater is rather unlovely). If you like cooking the stove, pots and pans, etc. are adequate (but don't try anything ambitious), which is a pity because Pyne's (nearby) is one of the best independent food shops I've ever seen. This is a small quibble (and won't worry many visitors). We've stayed at several Sykes Cottages over the years, and this is definitely one of the best. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Such a fabulous place to relax and enjoy the Somerset countryside.

Sarah and Peter are lovely people and their super little dog Holly is a darling. Accommodation is well equipped, clean and we will certainly visit again or recommend to our friends and family. Thank you.

Had a lovely stay at The Coach House.

Weather good for time of year. The walk along the canal was so peaceful. Enjoyed Wells., Taunton, Cheddar Gorge to name a few. Could have spent longer. The accommodation was peaceful saw two Owls in the garden. The owners of the property were very helpful with local knowledge and provided us with little treats. Would love to come back.

This is our second September holiday at this wonderful coach house, already looking to return next year.

This year visited Wells Cathedral and Taunton both well worth a visit. Once again managed beautiful walks along Bridgwater and Taunton Canal.

Had a brilliant stay,the house was very comfortable with lovely touches and our hosts Sarah & Peter were very friendly and welcoming.

The great location gave us walks along the canal and easy days out to Derwent Castle, Cheddar Gorge and the beautiful Wells Cathedral and City

The house was really lovely, and in a really great location with a lot of things to do around it.

The hosts were great and lovely, and I would highly recommend staying here. The garden was also amazing, as was the view! It would be a great stay for a relaxing holiday, as would it be for going out, keeping busy and seeing the surrounding areas.

It was an absolute pleasure staying here.

The open use of the garden was great and there was a fab view from our apartment. Sarah was very welcoming and we came and went as we pleased. A delightful place to stay.

Nice apartment with good kitchen facilities.

Plenty of hot water and a comfortable lounge area. Owners welcome was nice with tea/milk etc. Provided. Liked the area, pub with decent food only 150 yards away. Visits to Bridgwater, Fynes Court, Hestercombe, Wetland willow Centre provide local views/walks and information.

The fact that this was our 4th visit is testimony to our appreciation of the property, area and owners.

A huge thank you to Sarah for the care and consideration given to making stays as enjoyable as possible and for going the extra mile with help if needed. We look forward to our 5th visit in the near future!

Coach house amazing, use of Sarah’s (owners large garden) Taunton and Bridgewater canal walks being close are a must.

Harvest Moon pub restaurant only three minutes walk had excellent food. Beautiful scenery all around, so much to see we might return to visit Wells Cathedral and Taunton.

We think that the bathroom needs a big mirror on the wall.

It was lovely being very close to the Taunton and Bridgewater canal, with lovely peaceful walks along the towpath. Towards Taunton we found a lovely tearooms, with homemade cakes and scones. I have gluten and dairy intolerances and they gave me a gluten free scone and jam and a rhubarb lemonade to drink . The scone was the best gluten free scone I've ever tasted, and the rhubarb drink was very tasty and refreshing. The coach house was very spacious clean and comfortable, with no traffic noise, we loved it!

Excellent accommodation with plenty of room along with country side views.

Lovely gardens to relax in Was a bonus with having walks close by the canal with nice places for lunch . 5 mins to local pub with excellent food. Great location with plenty of attractions to see Exmoor, Dunster castle, steam train etc. My wife and I had an great time exploring.

We had a lovely week at the coach house, the owners were very welcoming and the house was clean and had everything we needed, it was nice to be able to use the owner's large garden and our daughter especially enjoyed the trampoline.

We would definitely recommend a stay at the coach house.

The Coach house a perfect place a as base to explore the surrounding area. The facilities far exceeded our expectations and we would thoroughly recommend it.

A comfortable home from home with a beautiful modern bathroom. An excellent base for exploring Somerset and beyond. Quantock Hills very charming and very close.

Great little place, the owner has thought of everything to make it a pleasant stay.

A 2 minute walk to the local pub which served great food; a 5 minute walk to the canal where you can enjoy a boat ride through the locks, stop at the cafe for a cream tea or ice cream or walk towards Bridgewater or Taunton keeping the kids entertained looking for planets. Only a short drive from Burnham on sea, Brean, Western Super Mare, Cheddar, Glastonbury and more, lots of things to do for adults and kids. Would highly recommend this place.
