“I loved this place, great view from the patio, felt peaceful and tucked away from everything down a quiet lane.”

The annexe itself was spotlessly clean, comfortable and had everything that I needed provided in the kitchen. The garden is fully enclosed and safe if you have a dog (but be aware that you are on a working farm and might occasionally hear the farmer's dogs barking/playing outside the back of the annexe which didn't bother my dog at all but if your dog is very reactive, it might set them off). I would definitely stay here again and have already recommended it to people. A little gem of a ...

“3 of us stayed in the annex with our two dogs it’s in a great location to access both north and South Coast of Devon and Somerset.”

This place is very dog friendly, with the use of throws for the sofas and a good enclosed garden. The annex is located on a working dairy farm and the cow chorus was an added little extra for us. The host Reah was great, very approachable and willing to help out in any way she can. The bed upstairs is accessed by a steep ladder but that’s clear in the description and you just need to be aware before you book. Great addition of a portable air-conditioning unit which helped in the hot weather. Kitchen fully equipped with everything you need. All in all great house, great location good host and highly recommend

“The Yard Annexe was beautifully done, with everything you would need provided and very clean.”

The setting was absolutely fantastic; it was so quiet, peaceful and calm sitting on the patio in the evening looking out over open fields. My only issue was the mattresses, all three (2 bunk beds and 1 double) were really uncomfortable, very thin with no support so my daughter and I did not sleep very well at all when we stayed and were pretty tired by the time we left unfortunately. But apart from that, it was lovely and if it wasn’t for the beds we would have come again very soon!

“Directions and instructions clear and easy to follow, ample parking in secluded area.”

Property clean well presented, kitchen fully equipped, all forms of household appliances clean modern. Working farm to the rear was hardly noticeable whilst the views out to the front made sitting out throughout the day / evening very pleasant. The hottest temperatures recorded during our visit made no difference as the Property had 2 very good fans, along with the stone construction helping to keep the inside cool and im sure would help keep you warm later in the year. We feel confident to recommend the "Yarde" and will consider another booking soon. Thank u.

“We loved staying here, it’s right at the base of the Quantock hills on a working farm.”

You can run and walk in to countryside whilst being close to Taunton and road links. We saw loads of wildlife as well as being close to horses and cows which the kids loved. The host is so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The enclosed garden was ideal and safe for our dog. The hamper and local milk from the farm was a great touch. Thank you for having us!

“Absolutely delightful little place to stay – perfect for us as our boy was playing cricket at Kings College, which was only 10 minutes away.”

The annexe was spotless, and we loved being so close to the dairy farm and seeing the cows and horses. Yes it may smell of a farm when the wind is going the wrong direction but nothing bothered us! It’s very dog-friendly too, and our dog was so happy just pottering around the well-enclosed garden. Thank you for making us feel so welcome – we’ll definitely be back

“The Annexe was lovely and tastefully renovated, the surprise of goodies was nice to recieve, the Mezzanine was not used because of the steps being to steep for us to climb,we both slept on the sofa bed.”

The flies were a problem becuase of the smell as this is a working dairy farm.

“The Annexe is a wonderfully quiet, well equipped, clean home from home.”

The location is excellent and the facilities comprehensive. We enjoyed our stay immensely and would happily book the accommodation again. However, there are a couple of things to note before considering this property; The double bed is situated in a loft space, so if you have any physical impairment that would stop you climbing a ladder or would be uncomfortable sleeping in close proximity to a sloping roof - look elsewhere. The property is located on a working dairy farm. Depending on the strength and direction of the wind, this can be very apparent.

“We stayed in the Annexe for a visit to family, a nice suprise on arriving, the cottage is lovely, fully equipped and exceptionally clean.”

The little touches were really appreciated. Our host Rhea was very welcoming and helpful. The garden was perfect for our dogs no worries about them escaping. We had a fab stay and will be back whenever we come home.
