“Hosts were absolutely brilliant they even gave us a hamper of goodies which was greatly appreciated.”

Property was nice and tidy and just had us in awe with the stunning view from the living room (property is reversed so living room is upstairs bedroom downstairs which works as you get to see a much higher view). If you have any issues with payments etc it does take a long time to sort out but that is at no fault of the host but Sykes directly (very difficult to make contact with)

“Arrived to a well maintained, immaculately clean and fully equipped barn.”

The welcome hamper from the hosts was a very lovely and welcome gesture. Amazing views and sunsets from the upstairs living room window, and the courtesy text from Kate the day after we arrived making sure everything was to our satisfaction was a lovely touch. Would definitely recommend Newlands Barn to anyone wanting to explore Somerset and Devon.

“We loved the top floor open plan layout, it was very spacious, light and airy.”

Plenty of information provided ref the surrounding area and games/books etc. Downstairs cosy however we felt there could be more storage provided in the blue bedroom and a chest of drawers would have been useful in the yellow bedroom. Also it would have been useful to have a waste bin in the shower room and the hallway.

“The barn was beautiful, everything you need for your holiday was in the barn.”

The communication with the host was excellent, the views from the upstairs lounge were fantastic. We will be definitely be going back. The only downside was getting in and out of the property because of cars coming down fast.

A lot of thought and hard work has gone into providing first-rate holiday accommodation. Warm, comfortable and spotlessly clean, it had everything we needed for our short stay. The kitchen was very well equipped and the beautiful Christmas decorations made it really homely. It was ideal for our family of four (adults and teenagers) and we will definitely be back - hopefully for longer next time.

“The barn is beautiful, clean and very comfortable.”

The living area is on the top floor which makes the most of the incredible view. Everything you could possibly need is provided by the very kind and easily contactable hosts. The barn is ideally located for easy access to the many wonderful beaches and Jurassic coast. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and would recommend to my friends and family

“A very nice barn conversion with spectacular views.”

It is in the heart of the scenic Blackdown Hills. The house is comfortable and well equipped. The welcome hamper was an unexpected bonus. We loved our stay and would definitely return if in the area again.

“Where do i begin with this wonderful place.”

What a hidden gem! Beautiful surroundings and felt so peaceful. We stayed for 3 nights with 3 childrens last weekend, exceeded expectations with how the space was bigger in person than it looked on the photos, everything was to a high standard and had everything we needed for a family of 5, highly recommend, will definitely be back!

“We had a lovely week in Newlands Barn, the location was exactly what we were looking for, rural but close to main roads for days out.”

On arrival we were greeted with a beautiful welcome hamper, the holiday home was really clean and comfortable. There is a good selection of games, puzzles and books as well. We enjoyed listening to the owls in the evening, the peaceful location and amazing views all around just added to the experience. I would highly recommend this place, thank you for making our holiday perfect.

“An amazing property located in a stunning location with everything you could need for a relaxing break away from everything.”

The property took advantage of its stunning views across the valley by having the living accommodation on the upper floor where you could enjoy nature at it finest. You will enjoy watching the buzzards soar on the thermals in front of the large windows then enjoy the most spectacular sunsets as the sun disappears below the opposite side of the valley The owners made sure that they were available should you need them but left you to enjoy your holiday which was perfect
