Oyster Catchers

The cottage had everything it was immaculately clean, location was perfect, views brilliant and the little Beach house overlooking the sea was the cherry on the cake.

All in all it was beyond our expectations and we would not hesitate in returning.

Our second visit and we had an amazing time once again.

Perfect weather, perfect location and perfect view – it really doesn’t get much better than this. The cottage itself is so comfortable and well-equipped, and waking up to that stunning view over the water every morning is pure bliss. We loved being able to walk straight into the centre of Watchet for breakfast, a wander around the harbour, or a meal in the evening. Everything feels so peaceful yet convenient.Already looking forward to our next stay – this place has definitely become one of our favourite getaways.

We had a lovely 3 night stay at Oystercatchers with our 5 year old grandson.

The cottage is beautiful with amazing view right by the sea. Our Grandson loved the Pebble beach just a couple of mins walk away. Will definitely book again and recommend this lovely cottage.

Oystercatcher cottage was just delightful!

! Immaculately clean and very comfortable. It's location by the sea absolutely stunning and a perfect base to explore the area. The owner Ann was very friendly and helpful and gave us some tips on pla es to visit. We had a fabulous week at Oystercatcher cottage.

A wonderful comfortable home to enjoy the lovely town Watchet.

The host Ann connected with us to check on layout for the beds, ensuring our stay was setup ready for relaxation. Oyster Catchers is a beautiful house, with a cozy front room for evening family time, the kitchen dining room out the back is perfect for a comfortable family meals and unwinding to watch the sea. Whilst the beach hut out the back is perfect to sit and switch off to the sounds of waves drawing back on the stones on the beach below. We knew there would be no dishwasher or clothes washing/drying facilities - whilst that would be a bonus - didn’t give us any problems during our stay. Loved our time at Oyster Catchers - hope to be back again in the future.

situated perfectly for our needs. the views from the garden out to sea was stunning. on the whole it's one of the nicest places I've stayed at. accommodation is at 10/10 for me. close to all amenities. try the star inn for great food and friendly staff. the whole town is very dog friendly. RATE this cottage and would love to stay again.

We had a wonderful week at Oyster Catchers!

The house is lovely and had everything we needed - our favourite part was the beach hut and the little table and chairs inside it where you can enjoy the beautiful view. We also loved Watchet and found it to be incredibly dog-friendly. There was plenty for the five of us (two adults; two young children and our dog) to do and it seems like such a friendly community - we really hope to come back!

There is a lot to love about this house!

The position is excellent with views over the beach (not suitable for swimming but great for walks and fossils) and sea beyond and the location convenient for the town. The house is comfortable and homely and had all we needed for a weeks holiday. There were two of us and we found the fridge a bit on the small side and the extractor fan above cooker did not work but the house is well maintained. There was plenty of local information at hand and the texts from owner were helpful. We would certainly recommend to others and may well return!

loved the beach hut over looking the sea. Really relaxing few days, I wish we had booked for a full week. Was a bit worried about where to put the rubbish and recycling, maybe some clearer instructions would help, and if you need to bring own bin liner and bags. Would definitely stay in this cottage again.

Location within walking distance to all Watchet has to offer. If taking your pawmates be aware there is public path between two sets of picket fences at Oysters. No stairgate provided for stairs. Chives cafe very dog friendly. Also several pubs welcome dogs in Dunster few miles away. Dunster beach allows dogs all year round. Steam train from Watchet was awesome! Stunning skies from rear of property over Bristol Channel & Wales. Excellent bathroom facilities with large walk in shower and separate bath. No cleaning products provided. Oven dirty. Red folder gives helpful information including parking arrangements. Locals and neighbours friendly. Quiet residential area . Sadly what lets Watchet down is being confronted by a lot of intoxicated folk and lots of dog faeces in road/pavements/local beach.

Fully enjoyed our stay.

Comfortable bed (good nights sleep) Loved sitting out in back yard, that big plain wall would look great with a seaside mural on it (or just given a lick of paint). Watching the tide & waves coming in was sooooo relaxing. Lots of activities & places to visit in area. Many walks with dog. Missed out on train ride & museums in town as closed for Winter. Came home feeling that I had actually had a holiday. Will book again in near future. Many thanks for having such a lovely accommodation.

We had an amazing week at Oysters Catch in Watchet, Somerset, right on the beach which was perfect for our daily dog walks.

A lovely, homely cottage which we would definitely use again. In walking distance for plenty of pubs, restaurants and takeaways. Lots of local walks including the Beach, the Mineral Line and the Coastal Path. Can’t wait to go again.

Just minutes walk away from centre of Watchet. All the ingredients for a good holiday. For steam enthusiasts the closeness to station is an added bonus.

Oyster Catchers, is a fantastic holiday property.

The view is incredible and our stay was wonderful. The owner was extremely helpful and the property is just everything you could hope for. It was so clean, spacious and just perfect. Watchet is a beautiful little coastal town. We loved our stay and will definitely return.

We had a great holiday!

The cottage is in a dream location where you can hear the waves as you lie in bed. The back of the house faces the Bristol channel so sea views from all windows. Everything supplied with the cottage is good quality and is cared for,which makes you feel welcome. The garden is split in two and secured by picket fences, the second area looks down on the West Beach and what a contrast between low and high tide. The beach hut provided shade and garden seats to enjoy this area. The town of Watchet is the most dog friendly place Tessie (our Beagle) has ever been, she met so many lovely people and dogs, and was able to join us in Chives Cafe, The Star Inn and The Bell Inn. Overall a brilliant break, thank you for letting us share your lovely property.

Beautiful cottages and the location pushes it into the wow factor.

The cottage has been charmingly decorated with a seaside vibe, Very clean and well equipped. Much more spacious than you would expect from the outside. Loads to do without having to even get in your car. (The parking permit was a huge help) Everyone was really lovely and friendly, we had a fantastic few days, and we will be back!

Our week at Oyster Catcher cottage was amazing.

The property was nicely decorated, clean and tidy. It had all the facilities for a family to stay and a great location to visit Watchet and the surrounding areas. The views from the garden were beautiful, along with the sound of the sea's crashing waves. The owner is fabulous too! We had a lovely week at Oyster Catchers; the weather was kind for April.

We went for a change of scene after illness and it suited us fine as everything was nearby. The beds were very comfortable and the house had everything we needed. A lovely little place.

The owner telephoned a few days before we arrived to give advice about the house and the surrounding area. The house itself was clean, warm and very comfortable in a superb location. We could not fault our stay in anyway and we will definitely be back.

Back home after a wonderful week in Watchet, staying at Oystercatchers.

Very short walk to shops, pubs and the quay. We used the bus and the Steam train to get around easily. Close to Exmoor and The Quantocks. The cottage was very clean, with everything you need for a few days away. Being able to see the sea from the cottage and the garden was lovely. Anita

Delightful property, fantastic views, neighbours very pleasant.

Parking permit was a huge advantage. Used local transport which was very good and very regular. Nice places to eat. The Indian Restaurant was especially good. Thoroughly enjoyed our 4th visit to Watchet.

It was a lovely seaside retreat. The location is perfect - either for relaxing or exploring the local area. The house is beautifully presented even down to its own little beach hut. The owner was easy to contact and really helpful, offering suggestions for local eateries. We will be back.

We are an elderly couple , Unfortunately it didn’t meet our needs , The stairs were the biggest problem , We have stairs at home but unfortunately these are totally unsuitable for people with mobility problems, I had to go upstairs on my hands and knees .

For me they were a nightmare . Being on water tablets meant I had to stay upstairs of a morning because I couldn’t cope with going up and down the stairs, We were not impressed either with the bowl under the kitchen sink catching the water that was leaking from the the kitchen sink !!! Apart from that the cottage itself was in a convenient position And had nice views from the back overlooking the sea, Quiet and peaceful overall had a nice stay ,

Owner Ann could not have been more helpful and 'housemaid' Michelle too.

For a newby to holiday rental Ann has got it right. We had a lovely time (but don't tell anybody as we want to book again soon).
